I like the Gen 6 big block motors, they have better heads, roller cams, seal up better and EFI if you want, I’ve always had great luck with them even with 185,000 miles on it
Get a die grinder (I like DeWalt cordless), some cutting burrs, and pocket port those heads while you've got them off there. That'll be well worth your effort as long as you don't go too crazy. And then ask the RV guys what cam they like if you're looking for torque.
Your friend with the Red and white square that was on power tour 2023 said his truck came from Augusta Ga and had a dealership tag on the front from a closed down dealership in Augusta he said he found online.
Hello, your videos are excellent, I greet you from VENEZUELA! How could you help me to buy some spare parts for a 1979 Malibu? I am Armando, where could I send you a message and send you the photos of my Malibu?
How does that trailer weigh 40k pounds? My grandad pulled a 40 foot flatbed car hauler trailer with 6 single tires on it in 2010-2012 with a 2002 Ford F-250 with the 7.3 and the trailer didn’t weigh nowhere near that much. It probably weighed 9k-11k pounds. And he would haul 2-3 cars at a time on that trailer. And the 7.3 wasn’t known for its power. It would struggle immensely pulling that 40k pound trailer…….
@@Peculiarsafe83 let’s see he’s talking 40,000lbs but the trailer doesn’t weigh that, then he’s advertising for him if you need stuff hauled. So it’s rated for 40,000lbs it’s just like the one my parents friend has that hauls bails of hey and his bob cat. My 97 f350 weighs 10,000lbs, just cause it’s a dually doesn’t mean the truck is not a 450 or 550. depending on the vehicle it can do that 40,000lbs maxed out.
Wow, I’m glad you’re working on that Dooley you got a nice truck. Can’t wait to see when you finish.
496 stroker candidate if you're buying a crank already.
That’s what I was thinking!!!!👍👍👍
It's a bummer all this happened but at least now you/we know what happened. Best of luck getting it all back together.
That's a heavy trailer. I just took a 73, 74 and 75 k5 blazers from my house in new york to Colorado. Was a fun trip
That valve train tray is nice!!
Go get you a 2 liter soda bottle crate, they work awesome for holding a rack of pistons.
Good idea
You’re right about 1 thing it does look like a pro TV set. Great job and look forward to more content
Nice job on the filming and explaining you are a natural. 🤙
good news that the block is salvagable!
Noice!! This is gonna be a fun build!

She’s finally home! Lol
Well,...since you need a crank...might as well stroke it!
The old school racers always said you gotta build em loose to make em fast. So, it wasn't bad, that was a race engine!!!!! 😂
I would rather have crankshaft damage than main damage. At least you will be able to reuse your block.

How about an overdrive transmission? I bet that would help as much as anything. I cringed watching the RPM’s it was turning on the ride out.
Got me wanting to build a engine for mine now lol
After this I am Subscribed
Are you going to rebuild the original engine that came with it?
That crank would make a rad microphone stand for your man cave podcasts.
Make it a 496 and hydraulic roller camshaft , 188 heads are best BBC head
nice job engineering the vsc 2000!!
Put zz502 cam an spend the money go hydraulic roller lift
Nice T-shirt buddy.
Highly interested in one VSC 2000….how long you recommend it to be?
Where did you get the organizer from for the valve train parts?
15:38….summit racing.
