Yes.. You can use it for bus.. But only as ICV bus( midi bus), not heavy bus. The chassis is not a heavy one. Already it is available as FBU bus - in the name 'cruzio'. I'm not sure whether mahindra has planned to sell it as chassis...

You have to analyse tonne(GVW) to torque ratio. Suppose same engine is fitted in different chassis, then Torque per tonne ratio will be more for 4X2 than 6X2 chassis(due to higher Gvw).

@@ROCK-wi3esYou have compare with respect to GVW only. Assuming that GVW & torque/power is constant, you have to go for the configuration which will be best in terms of road traction, and better distribution of power. Comparing 6X2 with 6X4 only will make sense. Comparing 4X2 with 6X4 does not make much sense. If the payload needs a 6X2 configuration( bearing capacity) , 4x2 cannot bear the load unless the wheels are extraordinary large. Road Traction will also be less since there are only 4 wheels. On the other hand, if the GVW needs only 4x2 configuration, then there is no need for a large 6x4 configuration. If you compare 6x2 with 6x4, 6x4 will provide better efficiency and traction, but the demand on engine would be comparatively high.
