Hey! Lovely video 😊 I had a question regaeding the lagoon we see here. How deep is it?? Asking as I need to know if someone like me (who, sadly, doesn't know how to swim, can actually stand in those waters. Thanks in advance! ❤
My knowledge is that the lagoon villas are in the shallow water and have the bathroom at the back of the villa with the bath in the centre of the bathroom (no view). This is what we had. The water villas have a darker blue slide and are in deeper water and are only slightly bigger floorplan Ocean villa I’ve heard are in a quieter area at the end of the island with more marine life and have the bathroom to the side and the bath tub is in front of a window looking out to sea plus the deck pool is a little larger (I’d book one of these if the price isn’t crazy amounts more!) Reef villa are larger with better access to the reef - don’t know much more about these I’m afraid I hope that helps a little
@@nupurdayal7296 I saw what i believe to be Water villas with the dark blue slide and they have just ocean all around nothing interrupting views etc. these were further away from where we were and the main water sports / buffet so prob quieter. In saying that we were very quiet in our lagoon villa in Alcantara Bridge. People we met were on Sydney Harbour bridge and saw a lot more sea life than we did including sharks and rays. Our weather was pretty poor during our stay though so a bit unlucky with that.
@@nupurdayal7296 our lagoon was on the left of Alcantara bridge and just looked out to sea so good view. In the right they look over the water sports lagoon and aqua park
We waited a couple of hours when we arrived in Male. On the way home it was delayed a couple of hours. I think this is fairly normal. We’ve had it faster before with a wait of only 40 mins. I’ve also experienced a seaplane not being able to take off and when it did we had to land in the sea near another island and get a boat and abort journey until the weather improved and we missed our plane home! I think it’s very mixed but just go with the flow. There is an airport lounge with food, drinks and wi/fi for whilst you are waiting. The seaplane delay going home was informed to the resort so we were able to stay and continue the use of the all inclusive for lunch
@@dishagandhi-ht6mu Hi, We really enjoyed it BUT it doesn't have the 'Maldives' feel like other islands we have stayed on. It's because it's so large and it was very wet and windy when we stayed in July. We have been to the Maldives in May before and had good weather. The restaurants and drinks are amazing and lots to do for children. For me I would chose another island if going again as I prefer a smaller island and the snorkelling has been better elsewhere. It is a fantastic resort though, it depends on what you want
Hi, the tides do change so we were carful to go in when it was deeper just be sure we wouldn't touch any coral. It is deep you will need to be able to swim (life jackets can be worn)

The water off the water villas is deep so wouldn’t be suitable but the water from the beach stays fairly shallow and you can see sharks in this depth

We just got back. At low tide, you can expect somewhere 6-7 feet; high tide is a different story! You got to know swimming.
Thank you
