Bester requests access to a laptop: Elton Hart weighs in

Convicted murderer and rapist Thabo Bester has made a plea to have access to a laptop in order to prepare for his upcoming deportation case. Bester has formally filed a court application requesting access to a laptop and a modem.
He is currently facing charges of escaping from the Mangaung Correctional Centre in Bloemfontein in May 2022, fled to Tanzania with his girlfriend Nandipha Magudumana. They were arrested and deported to South Africa.
Bester argued that he is unable to defend himself if he does not have access to the device. He told the court that laptop he is requesting can have limited access like most others in prison. The case has been adjourned until Two O' clock for Bester to file a replying affidavit.
