Great discussion gents! How would this apply to Joseph & Mary who had a “true marriage” but yet the “most chaste” virginal marriage? They are the model couple. Can’t imagine any man who loved a woman more than Joseph loved his wife. Not infatuation as you say but a deeper and richer love. Speak to this please.

Not sure I understand your question. Are you asking how is it a "true marriage" if it was not consummated?

@@RomeBoys yes. Because, 1) some don’t think Mary and Joseph had a true married but were only betrothed (eg, many Greek Orthodox wrongly teach this), and 2) how can Joseph teach us men how to love our wife in a chaste way (as he is Joseph Most Chaste) yet romantically - especially as in all marriages there is at times abstinence demanded (and in Joseph’s case it was for life), etc. Some miss how they had a “true marriage” as JPII preached and wrote in his encyclical and as various saints have said, yet some (most Orthodox and even some Catholics) see Joseph more like an elderly father or grandfather to Mary rather than a husband. As the solemnity of “Joseph, HUSBAND of Mary” is right around the corner March 19 maybe you would have another show to reflect more deeply on this reality as the Church puts this mystery before us for fruitful contemplation. Thank you guys. Awesome work as always!
