Thanks Vic, I am an Aquarius ascendant with Sun, ruler of 7th (Angle lord), Conjunct Saturn, ruler of 1st (as a part of trine houses) both in 9th house libra with Conjunct & combust Jupiter. Can the 1st house be used as a part of trine (1,3,5) but then something else used as angle (1,4,7,10)? Even though 1st is also an angle? I do have a raaja Yoga. My ninth house lord Jupiter is conjunct my first house lord Moon in the fifth. And rahu in the 4th houde conjunct the lord of the fifth Mars.
If the raj yoga appears on the 1st house (say mercury venus on the aquarius lagna) what would that mean? Potential to be a great self? Great body? Great health? Talents? I always get confused with 1st house stuff since it's supposed to represent the self which encompasses almost everything it seems. But I could be wrong about that.
Yes TRT that would make a really nice raja yoga and it would make a "king of him or herself" that means someone who masters and rules over itself, so you could interpret that would be very good if other things in the chart support this person in a spiritual path, might make him/her a guru o a very skilled person depending on the accompanying planet. For example, if its Venus with sun that would be a great leader and also a wise person because it rules over the 7th and the 9th and 4th, so Venus being a yoga karaka for Aquarius would make it a really nice yoga for a spiritual leader. With mercury might make it slightly different, maybe more focused on skills and intelligence and communications.

for Taurus ascendant Venus also rules the 6th and is considered evil in BPHS, is it still a raj yoga if it's joined Ketu in Leo
