Khrystina and Markus stole the show. Agility, flexibility and spin of stunning speed and perfection. At times somewhat lack of attention to the partnership and lower understanding of the music sung and played exquisitely. Thank you so much for sharing the competition with us.
This is 2018 Poland...the starting couple is Yakub, Polish....I liked the rumba music....the music is becoming more & more important for elevating competitors' emotions....

The technique without some soul and tendernes seems detached from the very core of what dancing should be about. Great athletes, do not be tempted to seek power and speed perfection, but rather use it as a means of expressing humanity and music
Auld Lang Syne. Paul Killick and Hanna Karttunnen disappeared somewhere in the thin air over the rainbow many years ago sadly enough- to me it was them who should remain as role models for the whole generation of the upcoming latin dancers. Unfortunately they are not. C'est la vie...

You could count the number of Cuban actions in the entire solo portion with one hand.
What a disappointing direction the dancing in WDSF has taken. Jerky movements completely disconnected from the music, flailing and waving of the arms, speed running from one pose to another... I love the aspect of athleticism in dancesport, but it seems the dancing part has been forgotten.
What did the old white Guy say to Marius and Khrystina after the rumba? Something because they finished their choreography?
Generally official host's talk: "Thank you very much. They still want to dance and they will, ladies and gentelmen, because it's just the first individual final presentation. We arranged for you three more dances, which will be presented by the complet of all six couples and at the end of the round we will see each couple individually in spanish paso doble. And now ladies and gentlemen..." :P
