That's a nice small unit. I have a Hike Crew shower from Amazon, it's also heated, but I've got more storage room in my campbulance than you have in the Gladiator. I drop mine in a river and let it flow.
It seems to work great. We do have a Joolca Instant Hot Water and shower but sometimes we just don't want to or have the time to set it all up, this works great for a quicker clean up. We haven't heard of the Hike Crew one before.
It works the same as a Joolca. Most of the time I set up a 2 week base camp and overland with one of my SXS. I might get one for an overnight on the SXS.
Where did you get the case for it? Mine was delivered a few days ago (from Amazon) but it didn't come in a case. Just the plastic packing sleeve in the cardboard box. ETA: I found it on their website. Thanks!
Have you tested how long the battery lasts? Can you replace the battery? I like the quick connects, I use them in my brewing equipment. I can even break down the quick connect and put it back together.
The battery should last about 2hrs. We have used it for about an hour and haven’t needed to recharge it yet. I don’t believe that the battery is replaceable but I’m not 100% sure. The quick connects are great and very easy.
Hello, nice to meet you. It will run for 70 minutes on high and 110 minutes on low. It takes 2 and 1/2 hrs to charge. If you have any other questions let us know.
Hello, the only hose hook up is the one for the shower head. If the opening is at least 3 inches you can drop the pump directly in the water container.
@@roamelevated Great! Thx for the quick reply! I’ve got one more question; to drop this into a water tank, what is the minimum diameter of the mouth on the tank?
@@paulhessels7043 We can drop it into a jug that has an opening of 3 to 3 1/2 inches and that is with the attachment. The attachment it is about 4 1/4 inches. Hope that helps but let us know if you have any other questions
@@roamelevated HI! does it really turn off? is it a timed thing? in this video here you turned if off at the unit after stopping the flow at the shower head (it hadn't turned off the pump). I'm double-asking because had a pump like this fail very quick!
I've checked elsewhere (the-gadgeteer review where it specifically addresses the issue) and there is no pump auto shutoff on this device. So if you turn the water off at the head the pump stays operating. so your best option is to turn it off at the button and turn it back on to avoid the pump motor burning out under strain. (or just leave it running and put shower head in a bucket to reuse the water).
A quick question to those who have bought the flex tail shower kit… Does anyone know where I can buy the same quality tubing that doesn’t kink, and also a white connector with the same quick connect so I don’t have to adapt all over the place I don’t know what size this quick connect stuff or where to get it
Can I use a battery bank to charge it up in the field? Like a normal small size 10,000 mah battery? Or do I have to charge it from a wall outlet? I have a solar panel to charge up my battery bank, so I could have this be charged up for weeks or months if needed.
Hi, the charging cable is a USB-A to a USB-C with a run time of 110 minutes per charge. When we plug it into our power bank it pulls 11w and it takes about 2.5 hrs to fully charge. Hope that helps
I have a much cheaper alternative from Amazon and it is what I paid for! this looks a little bit better for sure. price is actually ok! might have to pick one up !
Hello, the must have changed there packages. If you go to the link here you can click on the shower by itself or with the case and then there is a spot to add the bucket below: www.flextail.com/products/max-shower?variant=43991818371319 Thanks

Friend just bought me this for my birthday gift. Should be in tomorrow! So excited!
That’s awesome, hope you enjoy it and let us know what you think.
Yeah, my limiting factor on camping roadtrips is showers. Thanks.
You bet!
I've tried some of the gravity fed showers. This looks like a nice upgrade.
It's a great upgrade, and it's not overpriced either. We have a number of their products and they have all been great so far.

mine came in a box too. :(

Really like this product. But I’m interested in that storage box behind you too 😂. Green canyon one. Followed from Scotland 🏴
@@summittaedae2323 Hello, it’s actually a cooler. From Canyon Coolers. It’s a great ice cooler.
the water input should've been on the bottom of the pump that'll suck up every last inch of the water in the bucket
Hiya from Liverpool UK 🇬🇧 great review how long to charge and how long does charge last on low and full power

Will the bucket material take heated -hot water?
Hello, yes you can use hot water in the bucket. The pump is rated for up to 140 degrees.
Hell yeah take my money
That's a great invention
It has been working great for us!
Can you run a hose off the pump to drop into a scepter?
Hello, the only hose hook up is the one for the shower head. If the opening is at least 3 inches you can drop the pump directly in the water container.
Does it eventually turn off if you close the valve at the head, or does it just keep running? If so, does it then overheat?
@@paulhessels7043 It does shut the pump off so no worries about overheating

I’m not sure maybe you could ask Flextail if they sell extra hoses and connectors.
