Great news, you deserve this new beauty very much. Interesting sizes you have, specifically the BD 14" depth is seldom and man an 18" floor tom, so great. I also have a Starclassic walnut/birch and I am so happy since day one. My sizes are 22x16 , 8x7 ,10x7 ,12x8 ,14x12 and 16x14. You need a 10"x7" rack tom and then you have everything perfect. The first thing which I swopped after the purchase, were all the reso heads to ambassador clears. I tried different batter heads on the toms. I tried Remo pinstripe clear, which I did not like very much. I tried CS black dot clear.....they sound great on this kit. Now I have emperor clear, but next time I will change back to CS black dot clear again, my favorite sound for theses shells, you should try that. Have fun and all the best with the new setup.

Congrats brother... very nice to my ears and eyes... and from the Tama stuff I have, I have grown to trust their quality, especially when compared to cost. I would love to upgrade to a set like this some day. Very cool looking finish! That was good music too... was that your band?
