    ABOUT ME
I’m 32 years old and I’m a sheep farmer from Ayrshire in South West Scotland, which is why I have such a strong accent! I was born and raised on a sheep farm watching my dad who was the shepherd.
At 18 I went away from farming to work in the city (something I still do) and at 23 (2013) I decided I wanted to do something for some extra money so I went on a sheep shearing course. The hardest thing I’ll ever do was learning to shear sheep. [shudders thinking about it]
I shore whilst on my holidays from work for 2 years and then in 2015 my dad died so I decided to get my own sheep so I could continue working with sheep as it was something I loved doing. From there it escalated quickly from my first 4 sheep in my mum’s garden to now running around 850 breeding ewes.
I shore over 19,000 sheep this season in the UK and have my own shearing run which lets you see many different farms in the summer months.
A few years ago I bought myself a sheep pregnancy scanner and have been building up my run since then.
I watched a few farm vlogs on TH-cam and decided I could have a go and now here we are!
Thanks for watching my videos and please subscribe if you want to see more in future.

I’m a real fan of the scots dialect even if I only follow bits and pieces. It’s fun to hear the natural flow even if I miss the meaning (lol). I’m here for the long haul. Keep being you!

this posted while i was starting my office simulation week for medical administration and i watched it between the end of the first chaotic day due to technical issues with our software program and my final quiz in terminology this evening. Thank you for the little health update Jock, the chapters we covered this quiz were the muscles, skin, skeleton and the senses. The first question on my quiz just happened to ask about the meniscal muscle tear and it’s more common name🤣🤣

Is that First Lady a pure Suffolk? She’s got a pretty head. 8:03i absolutely love the Scottish dialect. Bring it on!
Not sure if you’re wearing a head cam but that’s amazing. I feel like I’m there to help you sheer! Seriously, it’s the first time I’ve been able to understand the whole process start to finish. Would you consider an extended video where you just film with the head cam for about 20+ sheep? Sounds silly but I could even tell how sticky the sheep was, and what it was like when they were kicking. Amazing vlog

Cammy, you are a maestro with those clippers! Do you use different blades in your clippers for different breeds of sheep (to accomodate thicker wool, etc)? Or is it one-size-fits-all when it comes to sheep clippers? The sheep look like they dont mind the "haircut" too much.
