Nice footage of the wrecks. Had to mute the music though.

I dove the German wrecks in Scapa Flow 40 years ago. I was "posing" underwater next to the barrel of a 21cm secondary gun. It wasn't until the photos were developed a few weeks later that we discovered a crab tucked away nicely just inside the barrel.

Hearing strident music while diving between WW1 german shipwrecks. I don't understand

Background music not inkeeping with the theme, distracting moronic.

Would always be nice to hear the diving sounds… now the muting is only plausible option.

I'm noticing that all the wrecks are breached at the engine room, not at the boilers. I wonder if this was because of partial salvage in the 1920s? These were all fast boats, even the mine layer, so it could be that the Brits wanted that high speed technology for themselves. They did salvage all the rest of the ships and cut them up, so they could have reverse engineered the technology so maybe they wanted the technology for actual use. I have never seen an posts on this.

Its really fascinating how the flags are still intact on the wrecks. They are more than a 100 years old, yet they still hang proudly with full colors.

I think some Polka music would better suit the video.

Very nice footage, is Scapa Flow difficult to dive?

The High Seas Fleet wrecks are generally in the 30-45m range, which can be dived with appropriate qualifications and experience. There are several established dive boat charters that operate out of Stromness. More info about the wrecks can be found here www.scapaflowwrecks.com/

I'm gonna assume the flags are not original? its hard to believe they would've survived 100 years. If that's the case who put them down there?

it's so sad, that he doesn't even bother to spell "Cöln(Köln)-Klasse", "König" and "Kronprinz Wilhelm", right.. is that how you honour historic craftsmanship from over 100 years ago?!.. 😅
