She played last year in my city during our Pride Festival, it was a small outdoor concert late at night and was a very small crowd, but I thought she was spectacular.
From the first note, I was blown away. All of her trauma channeled into music 🎶 to help others step forward and speak their truth! I get Janis Joplin and Melissa Ethridge vibes, WTG Anica 🌈💖🙌 I thought I seen her before and she was on AGT a few years ago.

I was in the audience behind Kardinal for this performance. She truly has an AMAZING voice and to see her preform this live was absolutely breathtaking.
Such a beautiful spirit and powerful expressive voice with great dynamics. There have never been many who sound like Janis Joplin but she has the style and look of that artist and era. And an inspirational story to go with it. I was very impressed with her speaking voice which she could also do professional work with because it's so sweet and comforting and even sexy compared to her rock out rasp!
Some of us that go through such adversity grow up to be unapologetic and unsympathetic because of our emotionally traumatic childhood and then our self worth is wrecked and then to have to admit that we are wrong with a I'm sorry when I felt like it would crush my already fractured ego from being the pretentious one in a situation that I had no choice to be in at all.....and that is how it was back then and I didn't evolve/rebirth out of it for many years. I also hid my despondent feelings with a smile and expressed words to try n convince myself that I was content to be where I was. All in all it took till I was in my late 40's to put them two words in my vocabulary after I realized that all this happened for me... not to me....for me to grasp that emotions are what rule us and not to let them hijack our whole situation and stay stuck in that emotion.....therfore I am sorry for the way I made that person feel when I didn't know how to relate on their emotional level with the frazzled sykee I was consumed in. I also say I'm sorry for things that have transpired that are not even in my control and I had nothing to do with.....example a tornado tore their house apart and I say I am sorry that you had to experience that and then ask how are they feeling even and THEN PRAY WITH THEM and it makes me FEEL GOOD INSIDE AND THAT IS ALL THAT MATTERS IN THAT MOMENT.
