I write this message whilst I'm on the very holiday you talk about in the video. Gutted i couldn't join you, especially as the weather looked so good. Bit of a photogenic ride to say the least. So glad you did a proper version of the route without all the bike breaking and ice nonsense 😂 Next time.... blue pig 💪
My fitness needs some work before the Blue Pig, but I am game for it 🙈 It really was a stunner mate, and so many great people out on the trails. The could inversion was great to see, but soo cold when back down in it 🥶 Enjoy your holiday mate!
Ma and gayles just watched this. She was inspired by your friend, and wants to start riding herself. Not sure if to start her off on a hard tail or full suss. She’s changed her mind about an e-bike and wants a normal one. Love that vue from the gate at the bottom of Jacob’s looking down the valley. And the descent after that vue to the stream and bridge is probably my fav part of this route.
Great news she was inspired by Lorna, Lorna is a machine on those climbs! Hard one, I think I would start off on a hardtail if I had a do over. Think it helps you recognise the benefits of a full sus more when you upgrade, but what do I really know 🙈 Those two sections are amazing aren't they! I'm chuffed I finally got the weather to appreciate them more.
Great video that, looks like you had a great day for it, a favourite route for me. Your confidence looks much improved, thanks to the blue pig i think. Ta for sharing.
Great video Christian, that was a great round and the view was enchanting. Thanks for sharing. I wish you a happy new year and all the best🙌🤘✌. Ride on mate🤙
It’s the first video of yours that I’ve watched so I’m now a subscriber. I did almost exactly the same route only the opposite way. I have to say Jacob’s ladder looked a lot more enjoyable the way you did it 🥵😂
Cheers mate, new subs always appreciated 😁 Yeh, I would NOT want to do that loop in reverse 😯 You must have been knackered after that! Fair play though for doing it!
I've accepted the request on Strava 👍🏻 Really enjoyed this ride, next goal is for me to get back and do it on the hardtail under my own power 😯 Have a feeling it will hurt a lot more next time round 🤣
Ace video mate, a true peaks classic, glad you finally got it done, no chance i could have done that route with my current fitness 🤣 awesome views over edale 😎👍🏻
I couldn't have done without the ebike, well I could, but would have taken a serious amount of time extra, still be there now I reckon 🤣 Fantastic loop for sure 😁
Great video, bit of a random question, how do you find you meet other riders to ride with? After having moved to Derbyshire and not knowing anyone who bikes I've found all my rides are solo, I quite like solo rides but I'm sociable and some group rides would be fun but have not really seen any clubs or groups you can jump in with. Just be interested to hear how you made MTB buddies or was it just your friends that ride?
@creativechimp03 loads of different groups on FB now for some great local rides, always a great place to get group rides, and usually something for all tastes 👍🏻 I met all my riding mates through TH-cam and making videos tbh, we just got chatting and snowballed from there. MTB Derbyshire, Jonathan is a good one to follow for local routes as well, pretty sure he joined a few group rides as well 👍🏻
@ thanks appreciate the info on this, I’ll certainly look into this. I had noticed Jonathans and Marcs rides on Komoot and saved a couple and I think watching their videos is how I stumbled across this. Thanks again, hope to see you out in the Peaks some time. 👍
Bloody ace video mate although the one thing that stood out to me was how much you loved Jacob's Ladder when you apparently didn't like For Sixers Only (which one could argue is quite similar, albeit WAY longer) 😂
@@Stopadoodledoo for sixers only was a different level, and like you say way, way longer 🙈 Have to admit, For Sixers Only gave me more confidence to ride the rocky stuff, as it was another level up 😁
Great video, mate!! The views round there are stunning, and I must get over that way on my bike soon (motor, not mountain 😂). How come you're selling the bike, though? Is it upgrade time, or are you stepping away from electric?
They really are mate, there are some cracking roads for you to ride, and some picturesque villages to visit. Costing me too much mate, hopefully get another one further down the line, probably the Amflow one once they have worked through the teething issues 👍🏻
I'm definitely heading this way the next good day off i have 😀 Makes sense to me, mate. I've heard how expensive it can get. Looks so much fun blasting up those steep hills, though!!
@NewRiderDiaries always puts a smile on your face the climbs on an ebike 😁 But, so does my own leg power, just with a I can't move another inch feeling 😭🤣

@ she’s only 5 foot 1 and wants one in pink. So I’ve got my work cut out finding one. 🤣
@@TrailFinder 🤣🤣🤣 I don't even know how to come back on that one!

Class loop Jacobs 👍
Really enjoyed it mate 😁
What a gorgeous day. That trail looks mint! 🔥
Really couldn't have asked for better weather, agree about the trails as well, had a great time!
@ Those villages are so nice out there for sneaky coffee breaks.
@JasonChambersPhoto for sure!! I was in a rush to get home as I had plans, otherwise I would have tried out a place in Hatfield at the end for sure.
.
Stunning views, your so lucky to have this close to home! All of your rides look proper epic, ever thought of doing bit of bikepacking?
I really am, and nope not for me bike packing, that's Lorna's cup of tea 👍🏻🤣
Great route mate. Shame we didn’t catch up over Christmas, but hopefully we can hook up later in the year.
This was what ruined me 😭😭🤣 really hope we do hook up as well, always welcome to stay over 👍🏻
Excellent video enjoyed .last time i was in edale was school field trip too many years ago 😊.
Requested to follow on Strava .
