Romano with another save! Love seeing this level of quality out of a closer. He's winning us these tight games which isn't easy to do. Also Varsho is a terrific outfielder despite the trouble he's had near the wall, he's so powerful, fast and tenacious
i don't feel confident with romano this year. He's blown a bunch of tied games and saves.
I feel more confident with swanson and nate pearson at this point.
@@YSFmemories You’re tripping. Romano is 20/23 in saves. Clase is 21/26. Bautista is 18/22. These are all high level closers and they have blown leads too. Romano is fine. Swanson and Pearson are also fine where they are.
well he's fine, in that he's not adam cimber or yimi garcia or manoah. But his ERA is much higher than last year, and saves don't count the tie games he blew (doesn't he have like a 100% blown tie game rate this year)
Vladdy is a fine player too; but we still say he's underperforming and slumping because we have higher expectations for him.
@@YSFmemories Yeah, Vladdy is disappointing this season. Cimber and Garcia aren’t doing well. Manoah is horrible this season. I’m thinking it has something to do with the new pitching clock they added. Maybe it messed up his delivery.. I don’t know
@@YSFmemories Yes but he's currently on form and that's all that matters. You're right in that he seems shaky but he's been on fire as of late and he's probably won us like 2-3 games with his pitching alone. Closing tight games is really not easy to do, the amount of pressure that is on these guys even in a regular game is immense.

Martin improves his pitching allowing only 3 hits in 6 innings and bullpen flawless only for offense blowing it out tonight... can't wait to get out of this slump!

I think it depends on who is editing the game. Sometimes it's quick. Other times, you have to wait until the next day.

3 in 2 games will definitely give that impression.
biggio has been hitting dingers too. I think he's hit more than vladdy since like may 5th (especially if you exclude vladdy's grand slam against a position player)

Trading Kirk instead of Moreno would’ve made a lot more sense to me. Kirk was coming off an all star year so there’s good return, and let’s be honest how many more of those is he going to have? Don’t get me wrong I like Kirk, but Moreno is a much better long term investment. That one baffled me

4:26: Can somebody explain to me why the Texas run didn't count? the runner clearly made it to home plate before the out at first was recorded.
2 out situation. The runner need to be safe at first to record the run
when the final out is a force out or a catch, the run never counts. if the final out was a tag out then it would depend if the runner crossed home before the tag.
First time watching baseball I guess.

The Rangers are suddenly becoming frauds in the AL West. They drop the series to the Angels now they lost to the blue jays 😂
I mean, the astros lost 3/4 to the Blue Jays pretty recently. The Jays also started the season with one of the toughest schedules and I'm pretty sure they were 24-16ish before they started to slide. Teams go through slumps, that's baseball. It didn't help they had to play against one of the best pitchers in the AL today.
Rangers went up against The Rays, then had some real tough close games against the Angels (who are HOT right now), and then go head first into the Jays against Gaus. No surprises here really. Still performing well, still on top!
I mean the jays are a good team.
I know this will never happen but if the Jays wanted to they could go all in and try to win the AAA World Series since they have better odds at winning the AAA World Series than they do of winning the MLB World Series. The Jays have a farm team in Buffalo and AAA does have their own playoff and World Series as well. Might as well go for the AAA World Series since it's obvious the Jays has no shot at winning the MLB World Series for the foreseeable future.
