Totally agree with the EBA. But you need to try the regular wild color Blue Acara. When they breed the black and blue with those bright dots is unbeatable imo :)
Great Video my guys… Agree on ofcouse my all time favorite, Joker…the Jack, and the amazing Sveni🤩 Troy you must own a Tiger Severum at some point! Absolutely beautiful fish.
I have a 375g in wall show tank, and for decades, I've bred and owned Africans. Past year, I've been having the itch to redo my show tank. I've always loved the electric blue Acara. Then I think maybe a central or south breeding pair or maybe Geos. My open water Haps even in an 8ft 375g still could've used more room, like a pond lol. This video was great. I still can't decide, but it's a great video and beautiful fish.
Great list and beautiful fish! One that I really love and probably the most beautiful fish I've kept is the Aequidens sp. "Jenaro Herrera". Kind of an uncommon fish yet quite cheap, not scientifically described either. They are kind of a mix between a green terror, EBA and geophagus. They do get like 10" long and are a bit aggressive but they do awesome with oscars and severums for example. Give it a Google search because if you even get to own one they are super awesome fish. Good thing is, the juveniles as well as both male and female adults all have that awesome coloration
A cool list "Most enjoyable fish to watch". Could be behavior or anything. For me it is the shy guys that come out when watching the tank or TV in the room
Great video... As always ... I agree with the list... Super surprised you didn't add the venustus.... Although I don't own any I have south Americans.... But a healthy venustus is hard to beat 😂... And the Taiwan reef peacock cichlids... Lol and the jewel cichlids... But cichlids are amazing so it's never a wrong choice
Hey guys, i have a question to ask Is it normal for a golden severum to go crazy aggressive, i own 4 severum that i put on a huge 400 gallons tank, they live peacefully with many tank mates such as blue pollar cichlid, parrot cichlid, discus, baby oscars, some Malawi's, blue acara, torpedo barb, bala shark, pink tail characin, bichirs, platydoras, ghost knife, and some banded leporinus. I've been keeping them for more than 8 months now, and during those times i never see them attacking other fish, however, in the past few days one of them have gone crazy, it started to attack other fish, be it the other severun or just any fishes that pass by, it even killed one of my discus, so yeah, is it normal for them to go absolute crazy aggressive or is there something going on? (Sorry if there's any mistake in my writing, english is not my first language)
Great video guys as always. I have a couple of questions to ask. #1 How do I know if I'm feeding my fish enough to where every fish is getting food? I have a 125 peacock and hap tank with about 25 - 30 fish in it, and a 135 with 3 Severums, 4 EBAs, 9 rosalines, and 5 Geophagus in it. I currently feed my Africans a full teaspoon a day and the South Americans 1/4 teaspoon a day because they're small. I think that's plenty but they all look anorexic. #2 How can I figure out what's wrong with my fish? I've had too many to die on me due to my inexperience as a parent. How can I get my fish to stop being stressed? There is no bullying in the tank. I have 3 Severums, 4 EBAs, 9 Rosalines, 4 Geophagus Surinememsis, and 1 Geophagus Altifron "Supposedly". I believe that it's the Alifron that's stressed out. Thinking that it would help with detritus I switched from an 8w 1600 gph wavemaker to a 10w 1980 gph wavemaker about 3 days ago. I found out that Alifrons do not like a high flow rate so I switched it back but I fear that the damage has already been done. He is very lethargic, he has a very defeated look about himself. Just moping around in the same spot of the tank. What should I do guys? Please advise on both questions.
Great videos guys, that’s a good selection of studs.
Thank you!
Love the list Guys! Amazing camera work. That jack is superb. Peace.
Thanks, Sandy!
Love your yellow jacket. Was in contact with a few 6 inch ones in a lfs about 7 years back. I passed and since then never saw any in the shops 😢

Makes me want to keep ciclids again. The colors are just so beautiful.
Love to hear! I’d recommend it

A+ content!
Thank you!
It’s videos like this that kept me in the hobby early on, providing great ideas for potential fish that I’d own! As always, love the content guys!
Thanks, Mike! Appreciate ya man!
Wow, I can't believe it's been 3 years for the yellow jacket already. Feels like just the other day that you brought it home!
Seriously!
This was a great list but I think the AC Heckali deserves a spot and the Geophagus Altifrons is up there with beauty.
Good point! And would love to keep an Altifrons soon

Thanks Gary! Venestus was definitely in contention
It’s a few beautiful cichlids that I thought should have made the list
Great choices, I’m sure it was a little hard narrowing down your own selection.
I have seen a close to pure silver Vieja maculicauda about 18 inches it was hands down the most incredible cichlid.
i got a jack and a terror same size together , months later the Jack makes me pay no mind to my terror !!

Hi do you have any electric blue acaras for sale?
Have the cichlid bros ever had a red Texas cichlid?
Nope
Dude, there's a channel that's stealing your content.
Nah that’s horrible
How about actually naming the channel
what channel
th-cam.com/video/lx79L4FmNaM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=EhT3aTKhq1EwOpRR
uses clips from his videos edited backwards so that the copyright doesn't pop up

Pundamilia Nyerei

Firemouth. Jewel Cichlid. Melanochromus auratus.
Henichromis fasciatus is defenitly the most beautiful cichlid and male eye biters
How could any list of beautiful cichlids not include some dwarf cichlids, Kribensis, or Apistogramma's?
Because we had 10 that were more beautiful?
