    2023 UPDATE - Keyboard Shortcuts HAVE BEEN MOVED in v23.6 out of the "EDIT" File Menu to the "Premiere Pro" file menu. Took me a lot of time to find- hope this comment helps someone in 2023 or beyond

    Premier is TRASHHHHH!!! In Davinci there is a button that you can click called "individual clips" in the export tab. And that's in the free version! Premier makes things way harder than they need to be!! Davinci for life!

  • @chrishogben5282
    @chrishogben5282 2 ปีที่แล้ว +35

    If you've got a render you can automate the whole thing with Scene Edit Detection>Create Bin of SubClips, then just send that whole bin to Media Encoder. Job done.

    • @Hapewin
      @Hapewin ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Your answer was the best!!! So easy to export, no need to nest a.s.o., so happy, you posted this right out ;-)
      PP CC splits the masterclip into scenes AND simultaneously creates a new storage directory in the media source window and stores a copy of each individual scene there.
      To export these individual scenes as individual files:
      If you select all the scenes in this folder with the mouse lasso, they are highlighted in gray
      Then right-click -Open menu- and select -Export media- it opens the export settings
      -ATTENTION- the default setting is that the individual clips are all copied to the directory in which the source clip is located!
      Specify export settings and then click on -Queue- the export starts, i.e. PP transfers the individual clips to the AME. The AME opens and the clips are exported by clicking on the small green start triangle at the top right.
      Ready

      What doies it mean to have a render? I work in davinci and need to spit out some prores raw files, and am confused as to why this process isn't clearly laid out

    • @PlaytheGameHQ
      @PlaytheGameHQ ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@shanefoleymedia You need to have an exported file, so if you have a timeline with a bunch of clips that you want to export individually, export the entire timeline as a single video, then bring that exported file back in, drop it in its own timeline, right click on the clip in the timeline, and choose "Scene Edit Detection" then select the first and second options in the popup - place cuts and create a bin with the clips. Then you select that bin and right click/export the bin.

    Is there a way to just put all your needed videos in a bin to save to your computer again? I just need to transfer the same video files RAWs to my manager who edits specific parts as well
    The workflow is like this, I go film a recap video, edit, and find the files I used in the edit (since I overshoot or cut the videos) then I pass the files on to him. What’s a better workflow for this without losing quality of Raws?

    do proxies effect the process at all? i’m finding that the clips in my project don’t have the edits i made to them on the timeline 😞😞😞

    • @AlliandWill
      @AlliandWill  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Proxies shouldn’t affect it since they are low res reference files that will be ignored when exporting. That being said, I suppose it is possible to relink footage to the proxies which would then cause issues, but that would be a different problem than what you’re facing. My guess is you’ve opened an older or different project by accident or your project crashed and didn’t save

    • @AlliandWill
      @AlliandWill  ปีที่แล้ว

      When you send video to media encoder, you need to reselect or change the settings to make sure it’s vertical again because it’s a different program and exporter

    • @fractaltutors
      @fractaltutors ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AlliandWill Actually, I found out that the problem is that there is a difference between subclip and sequence. When you create a subclip, it doesn't adopt the dimensions of the sequence, it keeps the dimensions of the original video. But now that I created it using sequence, it worked

Will this method work with still images and audio files? I've already uploaded one video the way I want it, but really want to reduce the amount of time by using the batch method. When I go to export the media, it says I don't have Adobe Media Encoder installed, even though I do. Is there something I need to do to connect these platforms?

      Not 100% sure, but maybe try reinstalling through the creative cloud app? Hopefully that works!
