    If you're wondering why your "Encoding performance settings" are greyed out... it's due to you not having an intel cpu. There is nothing you can do to change that, which is a pretty dumb move considering how well AMD are doing atm. I guess time will tell if Adobe start making their software for AMD (smart choice lol).

    • @AlliandWill

    I thought it will solve my problem but unfortunately it didn't work. My problem is that, adobe encodes video in 2 seconds, it goes from 0% to 100% in 2 seconds and of course i can;t open the video. Do you know how to solve it?

    • @AlliandWill
      @AlliandWill  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That could be caused by many things like your graphics card driver version, your Premiere Pro version, effects you have on clips, offline media, malfunctioning hardware on your computer, etc. So its really tough to determine what it is. I'd suggest doing a whole series of troubleshooting tests. Try exporting a short part of your sequence first and see if it works. You can also try saving the project to a new file. Or copying and pasting the sequence to a new sequence.

    So what's the best one for youtube the prores or the h264. I'm just afraid of youtube compressing process and how it will affect the quality of the prores file. Have you tested the quality of the prores file on youtbe? Great vid btw!

    • @AlliandWill
      @AlliandWill  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Best is subjective. ProRes will always be better in terms of quality, but the files are HUGE and the upload times will take forever, and the processing time will take forever. So it comes down to your available hard drive space, your upload speed, and the time you have available. Personally, setting a high enough bitrate in h.264 will create a file that is 99.9% the same as ProRes (Once TH-cam compresses the ProRes file).. So if you have lots of hard drive space and a great internet connection, the best for you is ProRes. If you have slow internet and not a lot of hard drive space, h.264 will be better. Most people will not be able to tell the difference regardless of which codec was used on TH-cam.

    • @AlliandWill
      @AlliandWill  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      TH-cam converts your footage, so if you upload at 10 or a million, it doesn’t really matter, they will still convert it. Buffering playback has to do with the internet connection, not necessarily the uploaded video quality. My suggestion is to upload in high quality as shown in my video and let TH-cam convert it as it always does, then not worry about it 🙂

      @AlliandWill  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Happy new year!
      There are a hundred things that could be causing a slow export. Here’s a few reasons why that may help: very high res footage. Mixed codecs in your source footage. Many layers of footage. A slow processor. A slow graphics card. An overworked computer such as other programs open. Heavy effects applied to footage. An older version of Premiere Pro that has some bugs.
      Hopefully that helps you sort that problem out or understand why it’s happening!

    • @AlliandWill

      That’s because Pro Res makes huge files sizes and your computer will have some trouble playing it back since Pro Res uses a really high bit rate. If you use that export and upload it to TH-cam, it’ll work fine then, or if you play the file on a faster system. Pro Res is meant to maintain the highest quality possible, but in doing so it makes massive files, which will be hard for your computer to pay back.

    🤔 I thought I was already using the hardware encoding, but it seems that I don't have access to that option right now
    ...strange..

    Ok and question. When you use your 1080p h.264 settings, and I see your video to the left is 23mins long, about how long does your computer usually take to render that?

    • @AlliandWill
      @AlliandWill  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Each computer will be completely different depending on the hardware, but mine would take about 5-7 mins

      @@AlliandWill yeah with those settings a 10 minute video shows 24 hours... but only actually takes about 12 hours. Fucking insane 😑 I hate my PC... it just got built too for gaming by my friend

      That doesn’t seem correct at all. What hardware do you have? What Graphics card and CPU? At most, a 10 min 1080p video should take 1-2 hours on slower systems. I exported a 15 min 4k video last night ( our next upload) and it took 25mins.
