I'm new to your channel. I love it. You guys be crazy and funny. I'm thinking y'all waited alittle late to start cleaning up for winter. Lol. Be blessed.
Awww! Thanks friend. Yep. Summer is so short here and goes by so fast we try to get as many things as we can get done before the snow flies, but every year that snow catches us. Ha! Be blessed friend.
You guys did a great job on breaking down the green house in a snow storm. If it makes you fell better, we are getting rain 😢. Still in the high 80's, here. Be safe and have a great week. 🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩
"When did we get a woodshop?" 😂😂😂 I also love how you guys put the frame in the complete opposite direction from where you originally planned. #HomesteadLife -Dusty
Pink camo duck tape works well on shovels and tools!!! Hubby bought me a dirt shovel years ago, engraved it for me, he broke it!! My stuff, I hide!! LOL. Taking a break, got blessed with a deer. Little bit more, then finish tomorrow. Watching you two, made me more tired than I am!! 😂
One time I bought pink safety glasses, and then I drew eyelashes on them, so Reeve wouldn’t use them. That one bit me right in the rear end, because when I put the glasses on the eyelashes were right in the way of my vision. Ha!
I like how you guys plan your chores, during a snowstorm, I know how you all like things complicated, lol. Those Amazon greenhouses don't last long, do they? Thanks for sharing
Haha, I painted all my garden tools neon pink to keep anyone from claiming them. It worked like a charm, nobody has even used my tools for 30+ years. I guess neon pink is not a manly color, lol. Good job you two. Have a blessed night!
That first real snow of the season can be a shocker for me. My snow shovel muscles remind me they haven't had to work that hard for a bit. And my sweaty summer self sometimes forgets about winter self (or caught a little too late to get it done winter self) who then has to undo in the cold and snow what made sense to the sweaty brain. Ive got one largish project like that now to get done as the time i thought I'd do it, something else came up that couldn't wait, and then we had cold crud in the household where we lay around like third base a few days, so we lost time to that, too. I felt not too bad, but my stuffy head affected my balance just enough that getting up on a ladder was not smart, and the largish project requires using a ladder. We've only had a couple flurries so far, so I'm still in that denial phase where i believe we'll get it all done before first Real Flake. 😊
See, you are definitely my kind of friend! Denial is the way to do it when you live where snow completely shuts down all outside projects. You just have to keep going on things until you can’t anymore. Its not that we’re irresponsible or ill prepared, Just always racing the snow. You get it! And I love it! Snow storm over the last few days. Lots of snow to move today just to get to the road. Ha!
@@FlatTireFarmHomesteadingAlaska , yup. Also have had a few conversations about snow Mgmt. Made total sense to me when you asked Mr. Reeve where to put the snow. Hubs is from a warmer place and still has trouble with the snow management plan concept. He has always known snow to melt between storms or melt enough that he didn't have to think about where to toss. So he does the shovel and toss thing. I've tried explaining he can't do that, especially in the early part of the snow season. Leaving tossed December snow in the March place is asking for heaps of trouble come March. A well-meaning neighbor gently told me the snow was tossed in the wrong place. This, right after my no-go convo with Hubs. I told the neighbor to speak to Hubs. I tried, but like many married couples, we have bouts of spousal deafness. Hubs was having one just then, maybe the neighbor could tell him, which was almost word-for-word what I had said not ten minutes earlier? Neighbor, also married long, smiled, waved, rolled up his window and drove away. I understand and probably would have done the same. I'm hoping Hubs gets it this year.
Here comes one of those unsolicited, srraight out of the lower 48... I 'm thinking that at the end of summer/fall just before the first snow is predicted take your phones & take some pics or a video of the stuff sitting around that you have no place to go with or that you might need during winter & thats gonna get buried. BA-BAH!! Instant inventory! There ya go... glad I could help (without having to shovel).😉😎❤️❤️ P. S. The dogs look so happy about the snow too. They almost look like their fur is wet. Shows how their bodies are working like little furnaces - melting the snow on their backs! Happy girls! Gotta go put some icy hot on my back now. I have a really low tolerance for snow shoveling & you guys made me tired just watching!! Have a safe week you two! God bless 🙏🙏
Ha! yeah, the dogs do much better when I gets colder. The 30° is much too warm for them. They’re super happy at about -10. Musher Becky’s sled dogs aren’t happy till it’s -20! Crazy, right! I think you have the wrong idea about taking the pictures though… The beauty of all the snow covering everything, is that it covers everything. Ha! I don’t wanna know what’s under there and I get to forget for six months all the projects I didn’t get done. Wipes a list clean instantly in one day. Except of course, I’d like to know where my fire pit is… I’m not sure I actually know where it is right now. ❤️❤️
@@FlatTireFarmHomesteadingAlaska YOU DON'T KNOW WHERE THE FIRE PIT IS??? Ok... time to start a NEW "TO DO LIST" and put THAT as #one!! How are we supposed to get our fireside chats without it?? Sheesh... CHOP CHOP!! 😁😉
@FlatTireFarmHomesteadingAlaska Quite the difference between YOUR dogs & Becky's that thrive in the cold weather & are REALLY in their element in the cold... compared to our coon dog who things 50 ish temps means she needs a hooded parka & boots if she has #1 AND #2 on her to do list. Of course, by comparison, her fur coat almost looks like it's painted on, the hair is so short & thin. 🙄 Such a diva.
Snow! Send it my way. Snowman ☃️ Spray paint it pink. Studded tire. Then Reeve points to himself. Stud. Surprise? Free 99 barn doors. Good job 👍. Great price. Found his hat. Aka screw holder. Hahaha. Smacking Reeve in the butt with the snow shovel. Chicken catcher. Snow's slip sliding away. Reeve loves you. Put those tires on your vehicle. He'd be lost without you. Stay safe and warm my friends ☺️
Clams are happy because they always have big smiles
Ahhhh!!! That makes so much sense! Thanks!

Ha! Oh yeah! Have a great Monday tomorrow friend. 😊
Need studs little Missy. Snow ❄️ is my favorite time of year!!!

Ha! We just keep living in denial hoping for another day without snow. Ha! Then, bam, snow!
Yes winter is stay warm safe
Hilarious. You guys are so awesome! The clam joke. 🤣. I’m a clam! Totally waiting to see who looses shovel first. 🤣
Ha! We’ll probably lose them the same day so we have none. Ha!
Lots of snow, wow. We still don't have any and I love it!!
We got super lucky this year with it waiting til November! Whoop!
Whelp, at least it's done before tonight's snow. God Bless!
I’m shocked…more snow. Ha! Stay warm friends. 😊

Smart! Be blessed friend. 😊
I prefer using those aluminum coal shovels for snow. They work great.
Cool!
Bet it would make excellent snow cream!!
Definitely!
I used to do this in England only -12°C though 😍😀
Cool!
