Great topic. I agree with starting kids off with success early. Kids are impatient. Let them experience the joy of success early on. As they age and mature, they can be taught the ways of adults.
@followthefanchers hate to keep asking but working for an underground utility contractor in my 20s i am still wandering about the status of that stuck track hoe
Amen brother , if you feel that you beat a doe or a spike and didnt het winded or however you look at it , that spike can be as much a trophy or memory as good as any other ! To each his own , hunt your own trophys !
Awesome video man and spot on!!! I totally agree with you and a “trophy” is in the eye of the beholder. And my little boy’s trophy, as most younger kids and some adults, is simply a deer. Nice video man. God bless you and your family!! Happy New Year!!
Okay thanks I’ll have to go check that video out. I’m having a 300 prc built and should be done anytime and I live in Scooba so you’re kinda in the same area as I am and I’m always on the lookout for good gunsmiths/builders
Actually IMHO, leave the " what, and how large you can kill " to the biologist! If they give you tags, then curb your harvest to that. Like you say, with the advent of YT, the nich is larger older bucks, and limited does. In all areas there should be several days when the biologist check your harvest, and determine what the herd is like. This is only my opinion. I hunted deer since I was 16 years old, now I'm 70 y.o. Don't do much deer hunting anymore, but during those days I trusted the WLandF Biologist to determine how many, and of what species of deer can be harvested. Also, if you are hunting private property, and the land owner has rules about shooting certain deer then you should abide by his, or her wishes. Just sayin..........................

So so true Dan! We have to start them young and LET THEM HAVE FUN
Enjoyable video! Good message! Take Care!
God Bless Mr John Keith and thank you
I agree 100%, some of my most memorable hunts with my son and grandson are either small bucks or does.
NOOOO doubt about it! I’m not sure when we started putting such a premium on age and inches
Being in the woods is good therapy

@followthefanchers thanks for the information. Thought it was going to be a good chance it was beyond saving once it was removed.

Who built your gun? Looks good!
Dad and I got all the parts and pieces and Mr Billy Tierce in Utica Mississippi put it all together. I did a video on it a couple weeks back
It was titled what scope should you buy.
I had to change the thumbnail pic and title so TH-cam would let it go for viewing

Aiden plays baseball at Scooba
I knew that he did, I have some hunting leases behind the college so I go by the baseball field all the time.
