Hey hey ... I had a five fifty four and two four hundred fours back in the day .... The seven fifty is awesome.... It was the death knell for the British bike industry thou, haven't heard one in ages .... Lovely
Brings back memories. My dad bought the same candy garnet brown '71 CB 750 new in the same year. I was 13 yrs. old. I used to sit in the garage and wax the tank and polish those 4 chrome mufflers. I still believe this is the most beautiful motorcycle ever built. I have only one surviving photo left. I do have the original service manual though. Unfortunately 6 months after, he was in an accident and didn't survive. I have 4 bikes now and ride as much as I can. Enjoyed seeing one again.
Morning Trusty, glad it brought back some good memories , very sad ending though 😢 it's also nice to hear that you remember the colour, as I mentioned in the video this was my dream bike but never remember seeing one in candy garnet brown! Ride safe buddy 🙏
@@2wheeledwillie395 There was something about that beautiful engine.the front fender and disc brake, the color, and the sound. I have some pretty new and fast bikes, but I'd trade all of them for a new one of these. Thanks for the response.
Thanks for yr comments Daveco ! What a great daily rider you have!! ...please watch my latest video where I'm asking for bike photos to mount on my wall...I'd love to have yours up there!! Ride safe 🙏
@daveco1270 It's great to hear that you use it as a daily rider! I'm looking for information about it to learn more if it is possible to be daily ridden? Is it really comfortable? Is it fast enough? Is it good for towns? I live in a climate where it is not too hot, busy roads but yet theres no support for old Hondas. Can you tell me more about your bike? Thanks!
Over here most Sundays at our local Bar , we can have up to SIX 750 Fours, all in pristine condition, also various 500, 550,400, fours of various types and years, that is just Hondas, we even get a Ural and sidecar, among other marks. Cheers DINO.
@@2wheeledwillie395 SURE AM, we've been here 14 years now, too hot to go far @ 40 odd degrees, just pop out for the hour or so, to do errands etc. Sunday is also Classic Car Day in our Village, all sorts of old BRIT and YANK cars and even Classic Trucks.DINO.
Hi Bob, congrats on buying a super meteor 650 buddy!! You're gonna love it! What colour are you getting? Bet you can't wait!... the 750/4 is probably my favourite bike from the 70s and my mates one is like new!
I had a '72 750 but a darker brown almost looked black at night. '72 was the last year before catalytic exhaust went from 72hp to 55hp. Had to sell it when I was in the Navy. Wish I could have figured a way to keep it.
That CB 750 IS A lovely looking bike and I wouldn't say no. However my mechanic skills are not the best and that usually makes me back away from owning a classic. That's why I like the retro bikes for their reliability etc. A retro bike I do like is the Honda CB 1100 and that bike might suit you. What's your opinion. A Honda CB 1100 in your garage. 😉 regards Carl.
Hey Carl .....Funnily enough I've been very close on a few occasions to buying a CB1100..the main issue we're the footpeg location, they felt quite high for a big naked bike..I really love the look of them though
It is a stunning Honda. How can I forget this bike and what an icon. I’m 66 now so yah, nostalgia and memories. Very common in NZ back in the day.
Thanks for the comments John, yes it was my dream bike when I was young 😀
Late 70s i had a brown k2, still rember the happy memories of that bike. It was one of those bikes that you wish you'd never sold.
I bet buddy...it really is a stunning bike and love the brown ! Its such a 70s colour!!😍

Hi Richard, yes they raised the bar so much that british manufacturers struggled to compete...I had a 550/4 back in the day too, loved it!
Stunner, mate! Thanks for the ride down memory lane.
Thanks Guy, glad you enjoyed it mate 👍

Great bike. That color always reminds me of a root beer float. I have a 1975 CB750 as a daily rider.

I'm 6'5 with a creaky body and the CB1100 is pretty comfy. I've done long rides without the peg height being an issue. Absolutely love it.
I have a 2019 CB 1100EX. Stunning bike to have and to keep.
Cool - had one of those decades ago, angel of death on the tank and pull-back bars, it was lots of fun, replaced by F1.
Lol! Yep I remember seeing loads of them about back in the day, all modded up and looking mega cool!
celestial red the wife likes it.
Nice! Roll on the next 6 weeks! 👍
