I think you'll find that the California does have heating too guys. Diesel powered blown air I believe. I really enjoy your helpful reviews and shorts.
Kev's van has a RIB bed not a RNR bed, basically you do not sleep on the parts you sit on and they are slightly more comfy. VW with the end of the Transporter as we know it will hold the prices as now replaced by the electric vans and the multivan
Thanks for the info JJ. We've heard from a few people that the Rib beds are more comfy! Suppose with the RNR its a little easier to get a topper with it being just one double bed arrangement. Interesting point there, we have an all electric van that we're selling on behalf of someone and its not been as popular as we'd of expected. I think we'll see the transporter as a popular choice for a good few years yet ☮😀
Cali all day long, I've had both and although the RIB is excellent the Cali system with a topper is better, that Cali should have a diesel heater in it with the vent behind the drivers seat. I know a good osteopath if Kev needs one and by the sound of him, he does😂😂Cheers K.
If you are doing all your miles in the UK, Kev's van wins as it has the sliding door on the UK nearside. If you're going to travel a lot with passengers in Europe, Jason's wins for having the door on their nearside. In 5 years time, both vans will probably be worth the same as VWs hold their value better.
Great video But VWs are expensive, you'd get a lot more bang for buck buying a second hand 4 berth fiat Ducato for the same money (And a lot more room).
Park the other way or just walk through the front and out the passenger door. No kitchen behind the driver on the cali gives better seat adjustment too.

I like both but I would never choose VW's california because the sliding door is on the wrong side especially when taking kids along too
