Please, both the expastor and the interview, read 1 Corinthians 12 about the diversity of gifts given by the Holy Spirit, which also includes the gift of miracles. Answer me, who are the gifts made for? This programme seems to be designed to downplay the power of God. I perceive perception here.
Church of Christ, I know you. You downplay or even refuse the Holy Spirit. That is why you don't believe in the works of the Holy Spirit, including miracles and encounters. We all agree there are fake people, but solve the issue of the Holy Spirit first.
Hi @Ladyzimula. Just want to say this ma'am, the church of Christ never for once downplay or refuse the holy spirit. Reason is the fact that the holy spirit is the spirit of truth. And has revealed to us in scriptures the purpose of miraculous gifts and also made us to understand that those gifts will vanish away when they have fulfilled their purpose. Ma'am all U need to find out this truth is a litmus test. If these gift were to continue, then Jesus said those who will believe in him will do the same works he has done and even greater signs or miracles than him John 14:12.
So the simple question I want to humbly challenge you with is this.... Who on earth living today have you seen performing signs like Christ or his apostles? Who have U seen performing such signs greater than Jesus himself or even his apostles?
The holy spirit is not a spirit of confusion. When we study scriptures in context, we then get the right message from the holy spirit but when we do study out of context... Confusion becomes our ruin.
It isn't the truth because it doesn't sound good, or because it's a confession or because it's an attack on the church.
Let's be careful.

Miracles still exist. Why not quote where God says he does not perform miracles through men. Paul and Silas, as well as Peter were miraculously delivered from prisons after Jesus had ascended to heaven. So, miracles still exist.
Abel dies not teach nor cause controversy . He only the truth of the gospel. Nigerians do not like the plain truth but folow foreign doctrines. Church if Christ is also from some foreign country, maybe tye USA.

While there is some opportunity for correction to the Body of Christ in the interview, I think the import is diminished with some misquoting or downright misinterpretation of scripture.
There is no reference for his claim that the Bible says thst miracles have stopped. In terms of doctrine this is a Preterist claim and if that is the basis, the claim is tenuous at best.
All spirit filled Christians live a miracle. Miracles are not just in the spectacular. Miracles are also in the transformation into a Chrisike nature.
He also quoted 2 Timothy 1:7 which has nothing to do with the cessation of miracles.
I really do hope the interviewer's interest is in bringing correction and not in causing slander or disrepute to the body of Christ.
Ultimately there should be proper doctrinal scripture teaching in Nigerian populated churches at home and abroad as this will help improve discernment and cult awareness among believers.
As an example Nigerian churches aboumd with erroneous doctrimes formed im Europe and exported to America in or about the beginning of the 18th century eg. dominion theology, dispensationalism, false revivals and the modern Christian nationalism and NAR. These are closely linked to New Age Luciferianism and should be called out and corrected.
Again the aim should not be to promote sensationalism which this video clip borders on. It should be to bring correction to the body of Christ.
I think the man stated explicitly that God still performs miracles, just not through people but directly (I would think through prayer)
