  • Jaime Ellis is the owner of Twisted Development, but his road there was filled with twists and very interesting turns. Jaime has worked his way to the top of the engine tuner world in our sport and it was great to sit down and really get to know him.

These behind the scene guys are the backbone of moto, interesting to know their stories. Great shows lately Ping ❤

Growing up racing and going to supercross my life dream was to be a mechanic for Mitch, now I’m an auto engine builder at a local shop but I still look up “a day as a supercross mechanic” on the tube. Listening to Jaime is one of my favorite shows yet cause he made it in my eyes and he’s still expanding. Such a cool episode Ping. Thank you for bringing on the riders and more mechanics! When I’m building a car I listen to WTS every day. I’ve listened to every episode more than twice now. Lol

I lived through this era of south Louisiana motocross. The late 90’s and early 2000’s it was an amazing time. I knew of Jamie, and we definitely know many of the same people. This is bringing back so many memories and emotions.

exactly was thinking the same thing LOL. Jamie looks like he could play linebacker for an NFL team Daaauum. Makes Ping look tiny.

Cool to hear that Jamie is a fellow A & P Licensed Mechanic. Been at it for over 30 years myself.

Great interview. We do work on Harley Davidson models with FI and throttle by wire. It seemed a little sketchy at first. But after a while you don't even think about it. I think he is spot on with his take on e-bikes. Right now, it's great for young kids and old, rich dudes that like to bench race horsepower numbers. Time will tell the real impact they will have on the sport. Right now, I'm not a fan mostly because they, like E-cars still aren't very practical. And no one seems to be working on that aspect of them. We'll see how it goes. Thanks again.

I agree 100% with Ping's comments about our tracks and the real need for more natural layout without big jumps. Many guys won't go to the track anymore because of the stress of knowing there are 80 foot tabletops and other big blind jumps where horrible things can happen.

What about Making two strokes quiet?
Even at the Cost of power, isn't there enough power and wouldn't Making them quieter be worth it.
With opening riding area and such

Always enjoy Ping's shows. Not the same old host yakking away trying to be a part of the story. Ping pulls the info out of his guests, who have some great stories.
One thing about this episode....just heard Ellis talk about this overpowered Suzy he made in 2013 that was basically unrideable. So, they saved it for Denver. Struck me as a bit odd, as I had waited for SX to return to Denver, and I didn't recall it happening that long ago. So, I looked up the race, and it doesn't exist. There was no SX in Denver in 2013, and the first SX I found for Denver was 2019. Anyway, I thought maybe I misheard Ellis, so I checked the Thunder Valley MX in 2013. Millsaps was nowhere to be found in the top 5. I'm curious where this overpowered bike was actually used?

It was a warning, they were shooting right at the edge of the yard away from the kids. (Not that it makes it any better) But evidently someone pissed someone off.😳😳😳

No more pit boards at a e-bike supercross, just yell breath and they can here you.

If it gets more and more expensive.....it won't grow! Duh. Looking at it totally wrong.
