Love the spiritual quality to your videos, they capture well the joy of us nature lovers! And you don't sugar coat it, you have to work for those places, physically and psychologically. Thanks for your inspiration!
Well done charting your course. I know that was tough to shoot and hike. I didn't notice any damage to the lens in terms of seeing it in the shots. I had no idea mountain goats were back there. You didn't have to do it alone. :)
Yes! Fortunately there doesn't seem to be any noticeable deterioration of the footage quality. I'm definitely going to drag you along on the next sufferfest! Both for your company and so you can drag me along when I get tired. 🤣
Your amazing! Hikes are like that, some good, some slow, some tough. People would be asses to make fun of you for crying. My goodness your a woman and we are sensitive. Dang your out in the middle of no where seeing beautiful things that only climbing can take you! I LOVE THIS VIDEO SO MUCH!! You inspire me through my challenges. Our tears are gonna be diamonds so don’t forget that! Thank you for showing us this beautiful place! Thank you for being courageous and real. Life is like this, and you have come so very far from your beginner hiking days!!! This girl not only hikes, but inspires! Sending lots of love your way! Your one of my hero’s!
Hi Christine. When the apocalypse comes can I be on your team? I am amazed at your survival skills and your determination. I felt your pain when the lens fell over. Don’t let that ruin your day. Better a lens than a broken bone. You might want to think about keeping a UV filter on your lens when traveling through shale. Better to crack a filter than your lens. I envy all you get to see and experience. You rock and are an inspiration to me!! You should be very proud of your accomplishments 😃
Beautiful video...never be ashamed or embarrassed about your emotions coming to the surface... it shows who you are and there's not a thing wrong with that...
Great hike, beautiful footage and an experience to be proud of! I pray that you get connected with a strong community of kind-hearted backpackers like yourself to adventure with, who are just as keen to grow, learn and push themselves as you are! Your desire to realize your goals is inspiring.
Amazing video Christina. I surly hope no one commented negative on your crying....I was crying right along with you. A very rough footing adventure. You should be so very proud of yourself. Off trail all alone, I certainly would have been more than a little anxious about that myself. And, your mapping seemed to be right on top. I would say “This Girl Hikes” has come a long way with confidence and stamina. This old woman is very proud of you today. Rest up now!
I don't know why, but fall colors make my heart happy. Such a lovely video Christine. But you have to watch those falling leaves. They can put an eye out! I had a huge acorn hit me in the head this morning. LOL! That waterfall was spectacular! @33:00 - I so wanted to give you a hug. It sucks when you are physically exhausted and then have an incident like your camera falling over and scratching the lens that puts us over the edge. Not having someone there to help lift you up is really hard. I'm in awe of your perseverance to make the best of challenging situations, and conquer them. You ROCK!!! Don't ever forget that.
Christine, you are such an inspiration. I started following your channel about a month ago. Still have some videos to catch up on. I admire you. I also understand where you are at in life. You are living my dream right now....but I have to wait a couple years to get to where you are at. In the meantime, I hope you don't mind if I live vicariously through you.
Please don't ever feel bad about sharing your, REAL, emotions. This is part of the journey. Keep showing what is really happening. Include all aspects of your journey. You are brave. I love when you share the trail in it's raw form. I enjoy the moments when you are holding the camera while hiking. Keep trekking.
Thanks Gayle. I worry that people won't think I'm enjoying my opportunities if I get emotional but experiencing those things is part of pushing the limits into growth.
I can't speak for everyone, but reckon there's a lot of us who are damned proud of you. A huge achievement accomplished, and rather than show us a polished victory, it was a 'warts and all' story. Tiredness, hunger, fatigue, or isolation, can effect people differently. Even the very best of the best, can occasionally get caught out. As ever, a beautiful production, despite high winds. I was half expecting you to fall in your arse, not the camera having it's equivalent. I'm not sure where you went from here, whether it was the hill top retreat, or back to the Chateaux Subaru. However, I would strongly suggests somewhere with a hot bath, and pizza available; Sometimes you have to feed the soul!😉 Stay strong and safe. You deserve a big manly hug too, so 🤗 ✌❤🇬🇧
Thanks Colin! I went back to the mountain property to recoup for a few days. The lack of sleep for the first two nights really had me come unravelled-- as it can with anyone.
I know it took me awhile to see this video, but I think this was one of your best videos yet! I was captivated by the scenery and your emotional journey to accomplish your goal. Absolutely Amazing!!!
Thank you. Memories of backpacking from my youthful adventuresome self come flooding back. The exertion, the exhaustion and the emotions have carried me through many a mile. The mountains beckon and so we go.
Hello Christine, thank you for sharing another cinematic masterpiece. You always do a great job. I like your hat. It makes a real fashion statement. I'm sure that all of your viewers, as well as myself, appreciate all the time and effort that you take to produce a video of this quality. The very best of good things for you. Please stay healthy. 🤗
Very nice!! I don't know if your comments are moderated yet if not you have the most supportive audience I have seen to date. So what if it took some a good cry, embracing the suck with the lens, and the scree field that feels like it never ends, you owned it and did it on your own. If the result met or exceeded your expectations then you deserve the joy of the accomplishment and the congratulations that go with it. Very well done and in some beautiful country! Look forward to your next adventure!
From another female hiker- I admire you so much! So brave and courageous! Your eye for the camera is beautiful. Hang in there, I am enjoying following you on your adventures and growth!
The most difficult terrain to manage is the space between our ears. We cant stop life from knocking us down...but we choose to get back up. Brushing off and moving on will builds character...you seem to appreciate learning opportunities..well done.
Christine, you absolutely rocked that trip. Cross Country no trail, shale and ATV craziness is no joke. Great job powering through those rough/tough spots. Am enjoying the heck out of your videos. Stunning!
I love living vicariously through your videos...and I am in awe of how many times you have to stop your hike, set-up your camera and actually film yourself! That seems like it would be exhausting!
Awesome hike.. your connection with nature is very powerful and nature gives us the opportunity to shed our tears and recieve growth from within ourselves.. your smile says it all in that one shot... be well and we will always keep you in our native prayers for your journey in life.
Beautiful video! It is admirable the way you have put yourself out there to show the emotion of a challenging day. In doing so, you have created something very real. Happy trails! Stay safe!
Awesome video. The blazing of a trail by yourself is never easy and you’ve done it! When I saw you on that shale and how you were sliding was scary for me. I can’t imagine trying to figure out your own way through that terrain. Good job! It’s ok to feel lonely and to show that in your videos. It shows you are human like the rest of us. Thank you for sharing this adventure with us. We enjoyed the views. Hope your camera is ok.
Thanks Julie. I believe that anyone pushing their limits will experience emotional highs-and-lows. Although people will express these emotions differently--it is completely normal and it's important to me that I'm honest about that experience.
What a hard charger! I’ve made that hike before and I feel your pain. That part of the mountain is one of my favorite places on earth. Thanks for sharing.
It's nice to be in an area that actually has Autumn colors! I now know what it looks like on top of the Tushars! Have driven by them many times on fishing trips.
I appreciate your choices in music and how are you film your content in this video. I find it very relaxing and enjoyable. Looking forward to more of the same. 👍
Hi! Christine, Awesome video footage of your epic journey. You GO GIRL! You are amazing and thanks for being so real with us. I empathize with you on your lens being scratched and the challenges you faced. That definitely can be very taxing on yourself. Plus when you are wore out your emotions are stronger. Remember you can give your burdens to the Lord Jesus, He is there waiting to carry them for you. He will give you the strength to overcome. Bless your heart, you completed another mountain adventure and what breathtaking scenery you had the pleasure of seeing. Thank you God are creator! Thank you Christine for sharing. You've GOT THIS!
@@nomad_unknown also would like to add that you shouldn't feel bad about sharing your feelings and emotions. God created us that way. I can relate to the loneliness also. Love your videos❤
Full range of topography. Being slow and methodical (+ employing your mountaineering techniques) through the talus slope was your only option in an area of high risk for injury. The wildlife (mule deer) always a plus in any video footage. Keep your present format. Remember, think safety first. ♥️ 🏕
Another very nice video Christine wonderful footage your courage and ambition is amazing. So sorry to hear you damage your camera I could tell you were really upset I haven't seen that very often hang in there.
Hi Robert, I was a little upset about the camera but also just very tired from two sleepless nights with still a couple of days of hard hiking ahead. I was just feeling frayed and emotional but it passed quickly.
Very Cool adventure! thank for bring me along. Lighten that load some will make it more enjoyable. Scree sucks but you did great. Many more happy adventures, you are a cool young Lady and did awesome solo! Like your video style New sub!
Great production! I need to visit that part of Utah. Unfortunately camping ethics are slipping and folks will practically camp on top of you these days - sometimes. More often this happens when truck/car camping. It's weird....I think some folks feel "safer" camped near others, where as in my case, I consider it rude.
Thank you. :) I also prefer to give space when camping but I try not to stress when someone is close, especially if they are respectful about noise pollution.
I was made aware of your channel because of your Aunts channel, Catherine Gregory. Love your channel as well, very nice job. Such beautiful pics and videos. You guy's are super talented. One question, do you remote work?, I and my wife would like to do that and travel full-time. Stay safe and have fun and we will be watching the great content. Thanks again for the Great Channel !!!!
The wife and I were worried about you on a big hike by yourself but we know you keep a Garmin in case something happens. That being said we enjoyed the video we enjoyed the information about the mines and hike on.
another great video, beautiful images and great editing too. Love the peaceful music choices. Relaxing. I need an escape soon myself! You are very strong and brave to do this kind of thing by yourself. no idea if I could even hang on that trip. but I am old and out of shape too. Gotta start training I guess. I had dropped my camera when in Europe and had a filter on the lens that cracked, it dented the edge so I couldn't get it off. had some interesting video and photos after that with a big light line through it, glad it was just a filter though.
Can I ask why you hike alone? Just doesn't seem like a wise thing to do alone? Your videos are beautiful and I really enjoy watching you but at times I have actually felt scared for you.

Cool car set up. Seeing old buildings along the trail always makes me wonder, what stories they could tell of their history.
Do you have a sheep or goat following you? Sounds like a bell is following you.

They are!
epic.. well done...loved the sheep, worth the trip. Good music

You did a wonderful job with your traverse and such an adventure...excellent emotions, skills, and editing...just lovely.
That was so cool! That was really impressive. The narration, the videography, the scenery, the struggle... and goats on top! #coolbeans
What a beautiful video! So well done! Excellent!

Always safety first! I never felt sacred with what I was doing, just slightly intimated and sometimes a bit fatigued.
It was really tough for you in a couple spots, but you made it !! You deserve another big ⭐️
Thanks so much!!
Wow, amazing hike! Thanks for sharing ! You rock
Thanks for watching!
You go girl!! I also wear a tam! 😉👍🍁🌲🇨🇦

Hi Robert, I was a little upset about the camera but also just very tired from two sleepless nights with still a couple of days of hard hiking ahead. I was just feeling frayed and emotional but it passed quickly.
These fall videos are getting me psyched for Tyler next 5 months of bug free backpacking.

Great job 👍 I was so scared for you during those loose rocks you had to climb down. Definitely nail biting! Beautiful views ❤️
Thank you :)

that was a tough hike ... you did a great job !!
Thanks!
A lot to appreciate & ponder in this video ... but I have to say _yes_ to a return of the beret. It just looks so perfect with the fall scenery.
There's more beret action to come Kimberly!
Beautiful enviroment, makes me feel like going outside for some fresh air 😁
You rock !!

Beautiful adventure! I'm so sorry about your camera lens.
Although the lens is damaged, it doesn't appear to effect the image quality, thankfully.

That water fall with the tall pine tree was beautiful!! Good of u to pick up balloon! Do you carry an emergency beacon or?
Yes, I have a Garmin Inreach Mini.

No one should EVER make fun of your tears!!!❤
Hello great video baby .
Thank you 🤗
That's the blue sky I remember. You don't get blues like that on the east coast.
But which country you live
Usa
Can I ask why you hike alone? Just doesn't seem like a wise thing to do alone? Your videos are beautiful and I really enjoy watching you but at times I have actually felt scared for you.
Sometimes I hike alone just because I want to go and no one is available. Other times, I enjoy the challenge of testing myself in that way.
😉

Imagine what the Nez Perce women undured as they were pursued for hundreds of miles by US Army under General Howard. They were a hardy race of women.
