- In this Vlog guys we take Saber to a beautiful forest for a lovely but very muddy walk. As you can see in the video Saber absolutely loved every minute of it, from meeting new dogs to new smells and a very muddy bath. Oh man! That was a whole lot of mud! Made me realize that the muddy feet I am dealing with every time my two come in during these spring rains is not as bad as it could be! Saber sure seemed to enjoy it! I wonder if it felt that good or he just knew he was getting you all worried about the mess! The forest was just beautiful what is the forest called? the best hike's with dogs are those you come back from wet!

OMG OMG OMG THE BEST THING HAS JUST HAPPENED TO ME!!! so I help my mum with daycare for her dog walking business and they decided that each week I will get paid £20 and I asked if I save my money can I get a GSD and she said yeah so by December I should have about £400 saved so by next year I should be able to get a GSD in stead if waiting till I'm 18. I AM SO HAPPY

Wow okay Saber seems to really be good with other dogs and people. I'm getting a male GSD soon, and I want him more of a companion than a security dog. Obviously that means I'd want him to be able to have as much fun as Saber does in your videos. One of the things I worry about is how he will be around strangers, or even my friends and family the first time they meet the dog. Could you tell me how you got Saber to be so great with socializing?
just gotta socialize them with everyone/everything as young as possible. im sure there are plenty of great videos about that topic on yt

Hiya. Andrew just made sure to socialise Saber as early as possible. As soon as it was safe to walk him after all his injections, he took him to places where he knew he would meet lots of people and other dogs. For example, we took him for a walk to the sweet shop near the school, just at the time we knew the children would be getting there. It was perfect, Saber met so many different people and got lots of fussing and petting! He loved it! plus there were lots of mums and dads picking up children with their dogs too. So, as much exposure as you can, right from the start. Invite as many of your friends to visit regularly too so he/she doesn't get too territorial.
Also, puppy obedience classes are a great way to socialise and train at the same time.
Hope this helps. It's hard work and I would say, you have to put in the time, and dedication, but the reward is priceless.
