    Sir, I have a question. When there is a function saying f(x)=2x+3, {x /= 4 }. What do they actually mean by {x /= 4 }? , I find it quite annoying every time I solve a function.
    And why do we have to write that down after solving the function? Thanks.

    • @FortBendTutoring
      @FortBendTutoring  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Dhanusha Kumar I assume the symbol you're referring to is the not equal to symbol ≠. If that's the case, the x≠4 is letting you know that 4 is not in the domain and you can't use 4 as a value for x as an input or solution.

    I do understand those given examples but what if the problem provides you with a given set of points for F and G changing the problem to F = {(0, 1), (2, 4), (4, 6), (6, 8)} and G = {(2, 5), (4, 7), (5, 8), (6, 9), (7, 5)}
    (F + G) (2) =? I understand that the first thing you would do is find the common domain elements which in this case would be : (2,4,6) but what else is needed to solve the problem? the subject is algebra of functions: arithmetic. Can you Help?!
