Arshad warsi was actually not calling prahbas a joker, but more about the way his character was presented .he was expecting a more of a badass appearance of prahbas, but he was presented as a goofy guy.
This ntcase defending Arshad Warsi's puerile rant is pathetic. Prabhas role in initial part of Kalki maybe termed funny or hilarious....but 'joker' by all means is an offensive word. If the scriptwriter willed his character to be initially funny before finding his purpose, then so be it. Who decreed that a character has to be serious from the start. Arshad is somewhere right. He didnt call Prabhas a Joker but the characterisation of Bhairava. What he wanted to say is he expected Bhairava to be a more serious character but was reduced to being a joke. Prabhas could have nailed the character had it been in a serious vain. But the opportunity was lost.
I know many people didn't like his character, but it was designed to be kid-friendly. It included a lot of Telugu pop culture references that many might not understand.
In Salaar why was he not laughing In kalki why he is laughing. The one who have deep knowledge of moral science will understand the hypocrisy of social media. Even jammy is being biased here. 🎉

But who can give explanation to South people who went to his cmt section to Diss. So tell me here, is Prabhas joker or is Arshad joker? Answer is none. Fans behave like joker manytimes. Remember how they beat a man who criticised Adipurush. I love South movie but their toxic Audience 😤😒

Unpopular opinion: As long as hero worship exists in India, their fans will always be critical to any negative comment about their idols and even encourage mediocre performance. It is upon stars to not give in to their fan service and take each project like being true to their art form. Take Mammootty diverse roles for example. He shines in all his recent roles.
Kangana Ranaut would be dangerous for politician also....she rightly said ..... politicians who are blaming each other in the parliament are friends outside...
Satyajit Ray, who is without a doubt India's best film maker once said "India has an unsophisticated audience" and that statement rings true even now. The pathaans and jawans getting 1000 crores while maidaan flopping is indicative of this. More than that, this fan boy behaviour of people who can't realise that people are judging a performance from an actor, not the actor himself is indicative of that. Indian audience still can't seperate the art from the artist.

Honestly, many Indian audiences aren't mature enough. They often ask for feedback, like 'What do you think about him, that, or the work?' But when someone gives an honest constructive feedback , then they quickly get offended, saying, 'How can you say that about our legend, movie, etc. Arshad's interview is perfect example. When prabhas was revealed as the reincarnation of warrior Karna in climax it totally killed it's character. He should have been portrayed as ruthless and violent warrior from the beginning. But he was romancing with disha and had weak comedic humour.
The pay off for him to be the chosen one could have been more seamless rather than it being such a leap from the goofy character he was playing. You have a point
@@TriedRefusedProductions The main problem is they choose the character karna. The karna in mahabharat is grey character who humiliated draupadi and was defeated multiple times by Arjuna..Again bollywood failed to do research and deliver...Let's see how they will justify prabhas and it's character in kalki part two.
@TriedRefusedProductions Also man karna was never a good guy, he called Draupadi a prostitute and Arjuna single handedly defeated all the kaurava army once in the war(mentioned in Mahabharata) and the scene they showed in the very climax is totally false unavailable in any version of Mahabharata. Also the movie was overly commercialised it wasn't authentic to the story but I would say better than Adipurush. As said by you I expected bahubali like performance from prabhas not like this. Bahubali did make some humor which even made people laugh but this one was "cringey funny".
As a Telugu speaking guy, I enjoyed Kalki, but can't disagree that Prabhas's characterisation was very weak and the most poorly written one, used just to generate comedy, which turned out to be so flat. Geniunely recommending everyone the Arshad Warsi interview on 'Unfiltered with Samdish'. Such an wholesome guy to sit with and talk with, man. Great human being. His chemistry with Samdish throughout the interview was so good to see. Super fun interview. Everyone should check out. 💚
It is profoundly sad to realise that we as audience absolutely lack objectivity when analysing a performance or a movie. The unnecessary outrage about the Prabhas issue is not only representative of the missing temperament but also extremely unhelpful for changing and challenging narratives.
I'm not a fan of Prabhas but I disagree with how we're perceiving Bhairava's character. He's SUPPOSED to be like that. That's what adds to the surprise element of climax. Imagine him being all serious, focused and larger than life character from beginning. Would it have created similar impact in the climax scene where he's shown as reincarnation of Karna or whatever Nagi is cooking for part 2? The monumental shift of character from being a selfish, goofy, reckless, cunning person to being an embodiment of Karna is what adds the kick to the movie in my opinion.
I believe, everyone will look at this differently. I, for one, can't wholly agree with your opinion. Though. I agree with it partially. You have to take in consideration that the audience here is immature. Taking everything at surface level. Do you think that they'll be able to understand or even feel this?
Arshad Warsi was a breath of fresh air in that interview. He spoke candidly about how Prabhas's character was portrayed in the film. Arshad, with his impressive body of work, continues to showcase his exceptional acting talent.
Prabhas next movie rajasab 10th April 2025 Side character artist LLB 3 on 11th April 2025 spitting facts 😂😂 spitting jealousy on others shameful to see these guys murdered SSR and audience seeking for justice u saying 0 hesitation ??
Arshad Warsi is talking about the Character of Prabhas, it's fine but he could've said it better. Also, I can understand why it might've felt like that, it's good only in and for Telugu because Pre Baahubali Prabhas comic timing is back. It didn't translate in the dub well. Tbh, it's not really the best part as the movie lags in those portions.
Being telugu guy, i understand the intention of Arshad warsi. we as telugu audience would love to see prabhas (before baahubali) and Nag Ashwin tried to recreate it just to some extent to impress telugu audience. i am sure audience from other parts of India won't get along & won't understand with his characters. Baahubali become a blessing in disguise for prabhas. we would love to see him doing comedy like he did in his old movies Darling, Mr.Perfect which is not possible now.
@@PawanKumar-jw5btNo, it also depends on the actor's energy and comic timing. No matter how funny the script is, a bad comic timing can ruin it. And a good timing can improve a normal script.
Come on Anmol, there is nothing constructive about what Arshad said. can Arshad Warsi comment on say Aamir Khan in Laal Singh Chadda that he completely misinterpreted Tom Hanks role and acted like a Joker? As an actor he has a responsibility to share his thought or view in an appropriate manner. Please don't paint a picture that Arshad's comment was completely in good faith. His comment reeked of arrogance and he wanted to ridicule and ridicule with an agenda. Critiquing would have been like saying that Prabhas's Bhairava character's comedic presentation felt out of place for Kalki wasting the opportunity or something like that. Now fans are responding in kind, if can dish it out, he should be able to take it, but I condemn any abuse even though Arshad's comment itself can be considered closer to abuse because he didn't Bhairava was a like a Joker or Prabhas's character was like a Joker, he simply said Prabhas was like a Joker. I hoped though that you'll see that disrespect, ridicule and call out Arshad but simply painting it as Critic wasn't appropriate. Salman Khan's was not opinion, he was probably yelled at so he didn't take it kindly so he gave feedback to SJB. Nazeeruddin Shah's is an opinion, he might actually be jealous of Amitabh ji to such an extent to say that he'll be forgotten in Indian Cinema. There is no need to bring down someone to praise another. Again, not sure of his motivation, he can simply think that him being a better actor should have been more celebrated than Amitab Bachchan but alas sour grapes.

so as a guy from southindia who has been watching prabhas right from his first movie..i think i should try and put things into a telugu audience member's perspective here : 1.we know what prabhas is capable of..he has done serious roles like 'varsham' and ss rajamoulis 'chatrapathi' which hold up well even now and also he's capable of goofy characters like the one in 'darling' and 'ek niranjan'. so there is nothing to prove regarding his acting prowess for prabhas.he's already a tried and tested veteran for the telugu audience (no im not a big fan of prabhas) 2.the movie is primarily intended for telugu audience first and then other states..prabhas has this funny diction of telugu which is absolutely unique to him ..in his relaxed roles like 'darling' and we also saw a lill of it in 'kalki' which is difficult to replicate by other actors and almost impossible to translate into any other language..if prabhas's character wasnt goofy and if they hadn't diverted the attention away using lord bhairava as cover..literally every telugu audience member would have easily seen the twist coming from a mile away and would have entirely ruined the twist ending which would have just fell flat 3.i honestly think it was a great feat from the director to throw telugu audience off the scent..cos i personally and my entire gang of friends couldnt guess it would be prabhas as karna even when they show glimpses of karna during the conversation between ashwathhama and raya.. the twist felt so impactful for telugu audience atleast.. 4.the goofy character of prabhas was by design to serve a purpose and i think it has achieved it. cos the character never lets us take him seriously and then catches u off guard at the very last minute of the movie.for me personally, prabhas character was what made the film special. it was the icing on the cake and for arshad warsi..he should probably go and watch 'varsham' and 'chatrapathi' for starters...we have seen all that already and have been seeing it since decades
Arshad warsi was making a statement out of his ass just to be controversial. I feel so sad that people can't be happy with such an epic movie. Why does everyone think that he should have played a serious character in Kalki? It was the right choice to be a goofy character. It worked well with other characters. People are hating on him just for the sake of hating.
I love how selective outrage has been exaggerately done upon Arshad Warsi's statement , which was not actually meant to insult prabhas anyway on its first place, while Rajamouli back in 2008 mocked Hrithik & praised Prabhas higher than him, a telugu politician literally mocking bombay state in front of Ranbir Kapoor during animal pre-release event, but barely any chatter caused upon them. 🤷♂️
That is what, here audience doesn't care about their silly statement and ignore them but just a constructive criticism by arshad have made them insecure can't handle it properly and learn from it .

I don't agree with arshad warsi's comments but he has the liberty to speak his mind because it's a democratic country. Having said that, we must understand that Prabhas's character was portrayed for comedic gag in the first half of the film ( though it wasn't that funny) as a fan service for diehard prabhas fans , specially for the telugu audience of the two Telugu states . For that , Nag ashwin deserves an hats off for cleverly blending the wants of the fans while also being true to his vision without complete submission.
I believe the director's choice to develop Bhairava's character in this manner was both strategic and brilliant. Had Prabhas's portrayal been intense and serious from the start, the final 20 minutes of the film wouldn’t have resonated with the same profound impact. The screenplay’s decision to reveal Bhairava's full potential in such an unexpected and transformative way, and to showcase his vulnerability once he relinquishes Karna’s Vijaya Dhanush, adds layers of depth and authenticity to his character. Prabhas's understanding of Bhairava and his ability to gradually bring the character to its full potential through subtle and powerful body language is truly brilliant. His performance, delivering such a nuanced and compelling portrayal, is one of his best and perfectly justified for Bhairava. This nuanced approach not only enhances the dramatic effect but also underscores the journey of Bhairava, making his ultimate confrontation all the more powerful and memorable.
choice of words are extremely important when you offer criticism. as an IT executive myself, when I have to give a feedback, I criticize the action not the person. when he said prabhas as a 'joker' it was wrong. he should have articulated it better. you don't know that, then just learn how do it. I will explian why people got hurt, perhaps you do not know the backstory. When Nagi, Swapna and priyanka thought of going ahead with the making of Kalki. Ashwini Dutt (Swapna and priyanka's Dad) put a condition that they will make this movie only if Prabhas comes onboard. for a movie of this large scale huge budget, having a big hero's backing is all that more important. because it is sheer commerce. I do agree that prabhas character was listless in the first half, but we cannot undermine that he brought in the crowds to the theatres south as well as north. when the whole indian film industry was reeling with no hits with long dry spell after fighter. He ushered in the crowds back to theatres. I understood his intent, but cinema and cricket in India is an emotion.
The director himself said that the character in the first half is goofy and energetic ....Being in the industry for ages and still dont understand the line of criticism and directly attacking someone and supporting it as constructive criticism is only possible with you guys👏.
I feel the portrayal of Prabhas as goofy character was spot on as we could clearly see the contrast in the end of the movie where he portrays karn. The testament to this were the loud cheers in my theatre for this very scene
Prabhas was criticized many times in many reviews, which was ok, but I think calling him joker by someone from Bollywood was expected to draw some fan backlash. There are some reallly passionate fans for Prabhas. Especially where in half of arshad wasi films he does act like a joker, so criticism from him is unwarranted
I think this is the problem with big budget star driven films is that the main character always has silly jokes and sometimes cringe comedy to entertain the mass audience the critics did not like prabhas characters goofiness but the general audience who dont study movie just watch it simply for the entertainment loved it
Exactly! That point about being objective to improve cinema rather than fearing trolls is spot on. That made me respect you so much more! The truth is, Prabhas is well aware of how far his followers will go to support him, which is likely why he doesn’t push himself much in terms of acting. Instead, it seems he prefers to put in as little effort as possible. The excuses about his health and injuries, often made by his fans, don’t really hold up. Given how much he earns per film-more than most people/generations would make in a lifetime-it’s hard to accept injuries as a valid reason. If anything, he could use that time to rest and recover, rather than rushing into more projects.
Wow only South Industry has the burden to improve cinema. Not Bollywood movies. Prabhas may not know who arshad warsi is, so it doesn’t matter what you say here
@Besties591 it's people like you who makes it a north Indian vs south Indian war not the actors or the industry. Who mentioned south Indian vs north Indian in this conversation? No one. If you want the truth then Bollywood is literally nothing at this point and south Indian movies are head and shoulders above. That is not even debatable. Prabhas being funny and goofy throughout the movie makes the contrast even more effective. Why is it so hard to understand not everyone loves serious movies? Arshad's previous comments on hating anything that had a slice of Sanatana Dharma is consistent with his recent comment so there is no honesty in his part. Just a blind hater. A honest opinion is something which is consistent across all actors and not selective actors. As simple as that. He literally said "i want to see something like mad max" which means he doesn't encourage creativity but rather a copy paste of hollywood. Which again makes his opinion on Prabhas low tier.
Kalki first half was too ordinary and yes, Prabhas's characterization in the first half was poor. But, the second half and Bacchan salvaged the film. And in the last 30 mins, Prabhas was brilliant.
Nobody says you cannot criticise but when they go selective. Am seeing so much hate from Bollywood towards south movies but remake south movies, u cannot deny there is not hate, am seeing so much hate in twitter. If Bollywood wants to be the face of Indian cinema but it doesn’t hold values and good content. ‘Empty pots makes more noise’. Bollywood is egoistic and arrogant mostly nowadays.
They not only remake south movies but also get a Sandeep reddy Vanga and Atlee to revive and boost the careers of Bollywood actors and then slyly going after the south. The character is good, most of the scenes are references of his old telugu hit movies. north people dont understand bcz they havent watched all prabhas movies, telugu people connected to all those scenes and we loved it.
I think Prabhas got a good project and the role he played is probably imagined by the Director to keep the movie light in mood rather than being as dark as Dune or Prabhas' previous character in Saalhar.
Arshad warsi is just promoting his upcoming film by spreading controversy so prabhas fans indirectly promote jolly llb 3 which is clashing with raja sahab
To all Telugu ppl, stay calm and let them try whatever way to bring our movies down but they can’t succeed in this way. Prabhas plays bhairava and Karna both the roles and these guys won’t understand what the director is trying.
People watched movie and it earned 1000 Crores..... people don't care about anyone's acting.... Kangana Ranaut has been struggling..she is far better actor even than 95% male
Criticism should be a constructive and that too in a positive way. Prabhas acted in such a way what the script asks and director of the film. Arshad should have told Bhairava(character name of Prabhas) was a joker instead of saying Prabhas was a joker. And I believe it should go with everyone who give a review or criticism on a character or movie. And coming to fans, obviously they become furious because thats how Arshad had constructed the statement when talking about prabhas Character from kalki. And I also believe that most of the people has seen Prabhas in a serious character in Bahubali(1&2) and salaar( which is completely action) but if you see his previous old movies like Billa , Darling etc it has comedy to his role and Prabhas perfectly nailed them.
I think Arshad wants recognition all over India..so he is targeting prabhas. Coming to these comments section North Indians know Prabhas since Bahubali movie. Before he did some movies which has lot of humour in it and he is very funny in that character. Those characters were loved by then audience, which you don't have any knowledge regarding that. Even in kalki interview, deepika said a sentence that " Prabhas is doing this type of funny character for the first time" without having any knowledge of his Filmography. So, you people dont judge without knowing. Bollywood is crying over south actors because they are getting more industry hits. But we people accept any hero who deliver good movies from any industry
Bro, do a video on Hema committee report regarding the issues women face in Malayalam film industry. We need more awareness and representation from media outside Kerala for this issue to be dealt correctly.
Vikrant is absolutely right! Because of this sudden moral compass everyone in the media and most people have taken up, the writing and content of movies and cinema suffers. This obsession with making sure the bad/ evil guy dies at the end basically doesnt allow for creative endings. We saw it with Kabir Singh and Animal very recently. Watch a movie for exactly what it is. ART! Its not a educational piece, its art, its story telling... If people are that bound to take inspiration and learnings from movies then they should watch and stick to biopics... why havent we seen a sudden increase in women sports athletes since the release of Mary Koms or Saina Nehwals... and other incremental increases in people joining the Army because of heroic movies of their portrayal. Its ridiculous to criticize a movie and filmmaker for showing or glorifying negative characters and putting a blame on him for corrupting the so called educated society. Everything from a songs lyrics to a dialogue to and inferred action is called out for objectification.
Arshad is spot on... Prabhas is mature enough to take such characters in such huge projects.. anyway Kalki was hard to sit through for me and my kids..! Good to see you making reviews in proper English with a good command on the language.
I'm not getting how people are expecting a character like bhairava who is drunkard, just thinks about money and doesn't take anything seriously to behave very seriously just like aswathama who has responsibility of saving kalki who gonna bring new life. Bhairava is just avara bevada and nashedi woh tho aisa hi rahega jaisa movie main hain first of people have to stop seeing prabash in bhairava
It's also funny because in that interview Arshad also said the actors in the film industry are also very delicate about the opinions of other people on their films and performances, that they don't really take criticisms very well. I guess he was right.
People who agree with Arshad Warsi just don’t know how Prabhas’s characters in his old movies always carried witty and funny nature. If you expect bahubali characterization in his every movie then you are lacking the sense of versatility and just pushing the actor or the director not to experiment with their films
South Indians don’t feel so bad, our Shehenshaah Amitabh Bachchan was regularly humiliated by all kinds of people. Dilip Kumar called him a coward who refused to stand up against the 1977 Emergency because his friends are ruling the Congress Party. Famous film critic Khaled told Amitabh to go learn acting at a film school before doing anymore films. Naseeruddin Shah said that Amitabh hasn’t made a single great film in his career. Kader Khan said that Amitabh is a two faced traitor and that he showed a lot of attitude once he became a big actor and forgot their friendship. So your Prabhas was hardly insulted compared with the epic humiliation our Amitji recieved 😂😂😂😂😅
Man Prabhas is a real life darling he does charity work so much and even recently donated 2cr for the Wayanad floods relief. He may not be a great actor yes but he is a gem of a person!! He doesn't deserve the hate!!
One thing regarding prabhas i have understood is ..whatever he does he will be constantly told wrong.. in salaar it was likw why serious? Why no dialogues? Then in kalki why fun? Why comedy? Then next in rajasaab why colourful? Why small movie? Then again kalki 2 why always big movie?
@@kurisetiudaykumar596 yeah I've seen most of his movies before bahubali ones also and I still stand by what I said. He's a terrible actor but he's got a huge fandom only because of bahubali.
I don't think they're asking "Why comedy, why fun?" .. htery're asking "Why bad comedy? , Why is it not fun? , why am I watching a epic story, but has generic commerical humour and is not entertained ?"
People defending Arshad Warsi : Choice of words was the problem here ! He has every right to criticize what he didn’t like about a film or a character. But, like with any other criticism in life about a person or their work, there are a variety of ways in which you can express the same criticism with the point still getting conveyed in each of those variants! For instance, you could say “ Hey, Your outfit looks terrible on you” or you could say “Hey, I think you look better in slim-fit attires. I feel like baggy clothes don’t work for you that well”. The point being conveyed remains that their current outfit doesn’t look good on them. The former has an offensive throw while the latter has an angle of constructive criticism where you’re rooting for them to look better! (Consistent with Jammy saying all we want through our criticisms is for movies to get better. If that’s all you want, the latter approach does the job without making people feel bad about it) The other important issue here is framing a personal opinion as if it’s an objective truth. I think opinions need to go with “ I felt like”, “ It didn’t work for me because” instead of “ Prabhas’s character has been made a joker” Especially when it comes to subjective issues (like art) : There’s no good movies or bad movies, there’s no good songs or bad songs. There’s just things you personally like or don’t like. Even if the majority of people don’t like a movie, it could still be a wonderful watch for someone in the minority. I heard some filmmaker mention something in an interview that I felt was a valid take on things. I’d like your opinion on this, Jammy. Here goes : A film on some level needs to be critiqued on the metric of how well it has achieved what the maker intended for the film. For instance, saying “ You know what, I was expecting a MadMax here. It didn’t give me that. So, it’s a bad film” is not a fair criticism. Maybe the maker wasn’t going for a MadMax vibe there. “The portrayal should’ve been such that the movie took itself seriously from the beginning”. Maybe it didn’t want to take itself seriously in the beginning by design. It was the maker’s judgement call. Now, the following are perfectly valid criticisms : “The goofiness didn’t work for me. The jokes weren’t effective for me and didn’t land. Or even I felt like the jokes were distracting me from the storyline and should’ve been sewn in more seamlessly “ But when you say the jokes shouldn’t have been there in the first place, your expectations demand a drastic change in the storyline or the tone of how it’s executed. If that’s the case, then this movie isn’t probably for you. What you’re in need of is a different movie. This maker intended to have a goofy character that’s slowly revealed to be a mythological giant. While it’s fair to express your criticism on how convincing or not convincing that was for you, it’s not fair to suggest a complete change in treatment.
He totally said the right thing...prabhas looks tiring and literally half of the theatre was sleeping during his part in the first half.. Unnecessarily overhyped
I get where Nasseruddin Shah was coming from. When in comparison with Dilip Kumar Sir, Amitabh's imprint will be lower to Dilip's. And yet, it'll be much much much higher than others.
I would like to totally disagree here. I believe most would agree that Amitabh has on sustained stardom as well as acting performances have left dileep kumar behind a long ago. No disrespect to dileep sahab at all, but let's be real here.
Come on man Amitabh's imprint is way way way larger. I know Dilip Sahab was pioneer of Mathod acting in bollywood. But Man Amitabh's films are iconic and timeless. He showed Mass with class. Although most of the credit goes to the writer Javed Saleem. But Amitabh's Legacy is way larger than any other in bollywood. Dude is literally 80+ still acting the way he was in Kalki. The only good thing about the Kalki was Amitabh and its vision. Apart from it. It was a shit film to an extent boring AF.

so as a guy from southindia who has been watching prabhas right from his first movie..i think i should try and put things into a telugu audience member's perspective here :
1.we know what prabhas is capable of..he has done serious roles like 'varsham' and ss rajamoulis 'chatrapathi' which hold up well even now and also he's capable of goofy characters like the one in 'darling' and 'ek niranjan'. so there is nothing to prove regarding his acting prowess for prabhas.he's already a tried and tested veteran for the telugu audience (no im not a big fan of prabhas)
2.the movie is primarily intended for telugu audience first and then other states..prabhas has this funny diction of telugu which is absolutely unique to him ..in his relaxed roles like 'darling' and we also saw a lill of it in 'kalki' which is difficult to replicate by other actors and almost impossible to translate into any other language..if prabhas's character wasnt goofy and if they hadn't diverted the attention away using lord bhairava as cover..literally every telugu audience member would have easily seen the twist coming from a mile away and would have entirely ruined the twist ending which would have just fell flat
3.i honestly think it was a great feat from the director to throw telugu audience off the scent..cos i personally and my entire gang of friends couldnt guess it would be prabhas as karna even when they show glimpses of karna during the conversation between ashwathhama and raya..
the twist felt so impactful for telugu audience atleast..
4.the goofy character of prabhas was by design to serve a purpose and i think it has achieved it. cos the character never lets us take him seriously and then catches u off guard at the very last minute of the movie.for me personally, prabhas character was what made the film special. it was the icing on the cake
and for arshad warsi..he should probably go and watch 'varsham' and 'chatrapathi' for starters...we have seen all that already and have been seeing it since decades
Similarly sew what rakshit shetty said yesterday. No one were reacting wild to it.
Because it is done by South Indian actors. If it was done by Bollywood actors then you will see reactions. At the end it's not about what's wrong or right, it's about perspectives..
100% agree with Prashant Narayanan's take
In fact, Prashant is the only one eligible enough to have this opinion. Him playing the lunatic serial killer in Murder 2 shook me to the core. Literally had eery vibes whenever his character appeared on the screen.
It was just alright, go watch Sangharsh and you will know what's a true lunatic killer is like. The man gave one decent enough performance in a remake film and thinks he is Marlon Brando 😂 Ranveer as an actor has far more range and versatility. But what an interview, Arshad & samdish matched each others streak
Well, I don’t hate Prabhas, but what Arshad said about his role in the movie *Kalki* is absolutely spot on.
The main cause of the intense backlash against Arshad Warsi's statement is that Prabhas is considered a "Darling" of Indian cinema. More than just a superstar, he is a very kind-hearted, humble gentleman who speaks little and doesn't interfere in matters that don't concern him. This is why the audience loves him-he receives positive love and care not only from his fans but also from fans of other heroes across the country. As a result, Arshad Warsi is facing significant hate. Regardless of whether what he said was right or wrong, one should choose their words wisely when talking about certain personalities in India.

But you are introduced to him as a larger than life character, hence you always want to see him in those roles, which is too much pressure on any actor.
Personally, I felt so relieved and loved Nagi for the fact that he brought the old prabhas for us - the Telugu audience.

Oh no, another uneducated Telugu person crying about cinema when they don't even work in the industry.......
Bhairava was itself a goofy character and his fans loved him in that character.
Arshad is 100% right. People can't see it because they just don't wanna
It was out and out fan service for Box office no thoughts 😅
choice of words are extremely important when you offer criticism. as an IT executive myself, when I have to give a feedback, I criticize the action not the person. when he said prabhas as a 'joker' it was wrong. he should have articulated it better. you don't know that, then just learn how do it.
Jammy's content is getting better by the day ❤
I feel the portrayal of Prabhas as goofy character was spot on as we could clearly see the contrast in the end of the movie where he portrays karn.
I think this is the problem with big budget star driven films is that the main character always has silly jokes and sometimes cringe comedy to entertain the mass audience the critics did not like prabhas characters goofiness but the general audience who dont study movie just watch it simply for the entertainment loved it
Goofiness tha hi nhi to like kya kare 😂😂😂
Study 🤣 bhai hollywood bhi basic commercial movie banata h uske kiye movie literacy ki jarurat nhi h
The person in question is Prabhas regardless of where he makes movies. We are talking about acting in which Prabhas shows very little effort because he knows he is worshipped as God no matter what he puts out.
Shahid's statement on Star kids and outsiders is so true
if Arshad calling Prabhas a joker is justified, then Prabhas fans calling srk hakla is also very much justified 🙌

Prabhas being funny and goofy throughout the movie makes the contrast even more effective. Why is it so hard to understand not everyone loves serious movies? The man is a human being - you can’t expect him to play the same serious roles all the time. I thought the comedic scenes were not unnecessary at all. Then again I’m a Telugu audience and I heard the Hindi dubbing was terrible. But those who have followed Prabhas since beginning (not Bahubali) know the man’s comedic timing is gold

At present the mic and laptop alone is covering more than 25 percent of your screen. Ditch the day light bulbs in your room and put a warm light. And put up tall night light stand with warm tone in one of the corners. It will improve a lot and give viewers a more pleasant experience. Anyways good work brother.
Bollywood is shameless and without ethics these so called critics are paid puppets in their hands. They’ll sit and defend patriarchy or ranbir kapoor with no issues

The character is good, most of the scenes are references of his old telugu hit movies. north people dont understand bcz they havent watched all prabhas movies, telugu people connected to all those scenes and we loved it.

8:49 There is no logic to making a star. It just happens. Also, the argument shouldn’t be about merit but equity and honing talent.

If that’s all you want, the latter approach does the job without making people feel bad about it)
The other important issue here is framing a personal opinion as if it’s an objective truth. I think opinions need to go with “ I felt like”, “ It didn’t work for me because” instead of “ Prabhas’s character has been made a joker”
Especially when it comes to subjective issues (like art) : There’s no good movies or bad movies, there’s no good songs or bad songs. There’s just things you personally like or don’t like. Even if the majority of people don’t like a movie, it could still be a wonderful watch for someone in the minority.
I heard some filmmaker mention something in an interview that I felt was a valid take on things. I’d like your opinion on this, Jammy. Here goes :
A film on some level needs to be critiqued on the metric of how well it has achieved what the maker intended for the film. Or even I felt like the jokes were distracting me from the storyline and should’ve been sewn in more seamlessly “
But when you say the jokes shouldn’t have been there in the first place, your expectations demand a drastic change in the storyline or the tone of how it’s executed.
I'm here for the comments 🍿🍿🍿

But AB himself will pit Dilip ji over him.
Dilip ji walked, so AB and the next gen could Run.
idiotic statement tbh.....dilip kumar dingt hv any range......doing similar movies......amitabh has passed the test of tym....nobody will remember dileep in 20 years......amitabj will be remembered forever.....naseeruddin is an idiot thts it
@@therealbatman7204 Naseeruddin is a nutcase. He considers Dara Singh and Shammi Kapoor above Amitabh Bachchan.. he considers Sholay as not a great film. He is not to be taken seriously.
SRK's speech after receiving the Leopard award at the LOCARNO film fest, Switzerland-
"I truly believe that cinema has been the most profound and influential artistic medium of our age. I have had the privilege of being the part of this for many years and this journey has taught me a few lessons. ART is an act of affirming LIFE above all. It soars beyond every MANMADE BOUNDARY there is and goes into a Space of LIBERATION. It need not be POLITICAL, It need not be POLEMICAL, It need not SERMONIZE, It need not INTELLECTUALIZE, It need not MORALIZE. ART AND CINEMA ONLY NEEDS TO SAY WHAT IT FEELS FROM THE HEART, to express ITS OWN TRUTH and to me this is the biggest CREATIVITY. And i believe there is no creativity without LOVE which is the LANGUAGE which transcends all languages and is comprehended by everyone around the world."
Criticised or jealousy? He could have chosen better words to express his criticism.
Arshad is absolutely right ✅️ 👌 👏
Being a telugu person.....
I can say one thing.....we telugu people have been waiting to see prabhas in such goofy character from a long time ...
Since bahubali..he hadnt done such roles.....actually this is vintage prabhas.....his work in darling,mr perfect, bujjigadu reflect a tinge of bhairava.....
I personally enjoyed seeing prabhas in such role rather him being serious in every post bahubali movie....
Bhirava is actually a refreshment after the serious characters that he played in sahoo, salaar, radhe shyam
bro just don't.... don't tell them or explain abt our side of the story...these ppl just do NOT CARE, they just dislike south indian movies as a whole...their arguments and criticisms for kalki they will never apply to their movies...we telugu ppl love/respect our actors we call them 'anna' we hv a bond...these ppl will never understand...
I'm not his fan, but he was so good in this movie. For Indian standards, this was an epic movie. I really don't understand why people are butt hurt about him. They are just hating on him just for the sake of hating. They treat Arshad warsi as if he is one of the greatest actor of all time. Kalki was a good movie. What more do they want?? Always complaining
@@loey4834 simple da, it's cultural differences....this is the set back of releasing movies pan India, these PPL r not feeling inclusive in south Indian movies... the number of comments saying "AB lifted the whole movie" shows they don't acknowledge him as a character....
@@sunandakoppada3365don't worry about prabhs.people here in odisha were hooting and laughing at his jokes. And the die hard fans are not bringing 191 crores in a day, neutrals / family audiance/ kids love him. There's a reason why he's this no.
Prabhas was fun in Kalki in a way he hasn't been since his Bhahubhali days, Bhairava was mischievous, a self proclaimed selfish a**hole who wasn't all that selfish or that much of an a**hole. Telugu audience loved seeing him that way, I loved seeing him that way. Yeah Nagi could have made Bhairava more of a serious person and a hardass, obviously how we expect people to be in an apocalyptic world, but that expectation too misses the point, humans are adaptable, human spirit has astonishing endurance. And even a broke orphan raised in the mean streets of dilapidated and decaying city, whose father figure tried to sell him into slavery can laugh, can dream and can be hopeful. Yeah, Bhairava was a joker, I loved that about his character.
I’m sure there will be a character arc in second n third movie but we def have to have the comedic feel else the movie would be really boring . It was really cute n mischievous these Bollywood chirkut circuit with one movie wonder are just jealous as they can’t measure up …
Yeah people just talk with the wave, when the movie was in theaters everyone liked his performance and character but just when someone told his opinion the bunch again started to criticize him
