I bought the keystone and tried setting it up. VASTLY over my head. I don't have an advanced I.T. degree. CAN NOT update the firmware. Can not get past that. Needing to be a computer savant will keep crypto out of the masses hands.
@@russbilderback it will get easier in time. What part are you stuck on? It takes longer to setup, but by no means do you need a degree to set it up. If you follow the steps in this video you should be able to set it up easily. Lmk if I can help. - Alex
@@cyberscrilla thank you. I didbthe 1st couple steps. I set up my password. But when I plug in my micro SD and try to upload the firmware and then put the micro SD card into the Keystone, and press upload, it tells me on the keystone screen that something is incorrect. I must not be uploading it to the SD card properly.. I think it's like step 3 of 5 I'm stuck on. Will try again as I get time.
It’s a micro sd card reader. There are different readers. This one comes with an empty sd card that I insert my micro sd card into and then put that into the reader.
Are you using an sd card with 32+ GB? If so, FAT32 won’t be an option if using Windows. You might need to do it manually using a disk storage format tool. It’s easy. This article might help you: www.lifewire.com/format-sd-card-to-fat32-6666166#toc-how-to-format-an-sd-card-to-fat32-using-windows

Is anyone else having an issue charging there keystone 3 pro. Mine dropped to 0% and won't charge up. It won't let me do anything unless it's at 20% charge. Wondering if anyone has been able to solve this? Right now it's just a waste of money unless I can fix it.
You need to update the firmware. To address the charging issue with your device, please update to firmware version 1.2.2. Follow these steps: 1. **Enter Recovery Mode:** - Connect your Keystone 3 Pro to your computer using the USB cable. - Long-press the power button for 20 seconds. For macOS: Find the "No Name" USB drive on your desktop or under "Locations" in Finder. 2. **Download Firmware:** - Download "keystone3.bin" from [this link] keyst.one/firmware 3. **Transfer Firmware:** - Drag "keystone3.bin" to the "No Name" USB drive. - Wait for the transfer to complete. 4. **Install Firmware:** - Tap the "Reboot" button on your device. - The firmware will install automatically and update to version 1.2.2.
HI. i've added Metamask to the Keystone + wallet and I needed to create the Keystone mobile wallet. can I swap between these two online wallets on the keystone + without any problems?
That is correct. Mac or PC is required to update the firmware. If you want a wallet that doesn’t require any firmware updates, checkout the Tangem wallet on our channel!
I would stay away from Keystone their batteries burn up so fast that even on small transactions I can’t hardly get through the battery burn up time. The company says nothing about it on their website so you could have that information before purchasing. Why they designed it this way they should be embarrassed.
Interesting. I haven’t experienced that. Also, it comes with the AAA pack maybe try that. A weak battery wouldn’t necessarily be the the end of the world for me as long as the wallet is secure. I’d just plug it in if I had that problem personally.

Just the regular SD reader is good for this?
It needs to work with micro sd cards as that’s what the wallet requires. I have a regular sd shell I can put my micro into.
Can you be offline in order to create a new wallet?
Of course. It’s a cold wallet 👍
The new pro 3 does not let you connect to the keystone app. This hardware wallet is a nightmare to use.
Yep this is known and intentional:
