You seem very happy and excited to be there! I've come to really appreciate your channel over the last couple of years, and it's great to see your development.
I absolutely love this channel. I do not know anything about boats but I love looking at them and I also love the commentary and the knowledge that this has chap has thank you so much.
Unless you've got at least $100 million I don't think you have to worry. I've been on cruise ships (reluctantly) and I own a sailboat and I've crossed the Pacific in a 12m catamaran, four of us. I like this channel, but when I see these super yachts... they just look like cruise ships to me. Cruise ships are like malls 'near the ocean, but not actually in it', and all the stores are closed. So if you don't like drinking, overeating or stage shows.... incredibly boring. Time on land is 8 hours, but actually about 5 because you have to get off the boat, and then get back on with enough time if the taxi breaks down the ship doesn't leave without you. The Bayesian is looking like, people who don't do safety drills, a design with some problems - the sliding door and problem multipliers, that incredible tall mast and retracted keel. My 46' (14m) sailboat would've just leaned over and popped right back up. (The catamaran we crossed the Pacific in... that would've flipped like a pancake. But storm? I'd have been up watching it. Even flipped it wouldn't have sunk. I've seen a storm on the Mediterranean, pretty intense. Some of the key reasons I became a sailor when I did is safety. There is now excellent weather reports. No one ever has to be in the middle of a typhoon, hurricane or major storm. You can get information in enough time that you can get out to the edge. A little rough, no risk. Communications: Starlink. I brought mine and we had full internet 400 miles from land and any other humans. The astronauts on the Space Station were the closest other people. These super yachts? It's like going to a car show and it's all buses.
@@WillN2Go1 Yes, I too think I'm safe without the super Dosh. Really enjoying the knowledge on this channel I found through reading about the Bayesian.
I worked at the Sydney International Boat Show for a few years in the early eighties, selling electronics, well before the Monaco show started, but I had no idea anything could grow to be this big. This is unbelievable, I'm not sure I could afford a coffee at this joint. Thanks for taking us along, it has been a real eye opener. But I think I'm going to have to stick with my 5M Mustang for now, maybe I could tow my guests behind me in an inflatable dingy and call it my support vessel.🤣
Sure enjoy your tour of this years show. Love Lurssen can't wait to see Kismet. Thank you for all the hard work and trouble we put you thru to see these yatch. Kidding.keep up the good fight
I really enjoy the yacht shows. I'm super impressed with the wealth the owners have amassed. I was lucky enough to buy a small yacht at the Miami show and had loads of fun with it. Keep the details coming, I really enjoy your show and knowledge.
Great idea. Some of the tenders are genuine works of art. Forget the RIBs, I'm talking of bespoke wooden works of art driven by Lamborghini marine engines and the like.
What size are the tender boats? I was disappointed to see a very average boat aboard one of these yachts. I build 52' powerboats capable of 75 knots in luxury with offshore stability. Ours would look so much better aboard a yacht than what I saw in this video.
I am so happy I have discovered your channel. I like watching it. It was my mini dream to go and attend the Yacht trade show in Monaco. And thank you for bringing us to the show. Amazing yachts and such beautiful interiors! Ahoj!
Love the Monaco Yacht Show! I used not to, but now I look forward to the "accessories" building. It's just amazing all the custom stuff anyone can purchase. I mean, we could purchase them if we wanted to spend that kind of money, but usually it's for the yachts. 😉 Of course, *I like big boats and I cannot lie,* so I'm looking forward to those as well. 😁
That lifeboat rule about both sides came about after the Andrea Doria sinking. She began to severely list almost immediately rendering her lifeboats on one side inoperable.
If when someone drops valuable jewelry they sent down divers or hire someome so its retrieved! Trust me when you own a Yacht you have enough money to hire a diver! But afterall there is a good chance of finding something valuable if you have an under water working metall detector and you have the license to dive there !
Thanks for sharing! I really hope to get some video/pictures from the flybridge deck... I had a lot of fun working for Royal Huisman on Special One, specifically in 2 main area's outdoor helm/control stations (flybridge deck and observation deck, the upper two levels) and a lot of the equipment/systems of the fishcockpit. The last one is quite easy to see in video's but those helms/control stations I have not seen finished yet. I'll keep my fingers crossed that someone gets a better view on these decks and is able to share it!
@@visionist7 Yep, person sitting in it doesn't grow with the size of the yacht after all. :) all features and gadgets are hidden from sight but are easily reachable/usable while fishing.

Interesting comment on Baysien, does the "drain" for sunken cockpit, go both ways? shown on side in middle 17:20 ... heel it over and it becomes an easy way to fill the boat with water?
This was a great video! Very interesting and informative. It was eerie looking at the Perini Navi...can't help but think the Bayesian tragedy being the gargantuan elephant in the room. Anyway that hydration station was funny! I'd be filling up too, lol! Plus, the coffee bit is spot on! We coffee snobs gotta maintain our standards! 😉
Thank you eSysman for the tour of these most beautiful Yachts.....My heart is in Monaco cause lived there for a while with my 4th wife..... Old F-4 Shoe🇺🇸
Drool Fuel! Love it!!! A walk to the top of the hill (as per your Monaco GP shots) with an overhead of all the yachts would be nice. Are drone shots from the hill banned for the boat show?
Just came about your channel and I'm grateful because i will be attending my first ever boat show, i have gained some insights on what to learn about them.
Your approach is wonderful. And then there’s the little aside “I roast my own coffee”. More please: at sea??? what kit do you use to roast? Are you not selling Yacht Report Roast???? Where ?
Great video, loving your explanations and opinions. Also yachts are a perfect example of how good taste is a personal thing and doesn't depend on money. Lucky me
Have managed to get to this show twice over the years but not possible in 24 so your videos are just great to catch up on the action. Like you the coffee is about my max purchase

Gonna have to save a lot more money before I will be able to afford a dingy. But really enjoyed this tour of how the not so famous but rich spend money.
Enjoy Monte Carlo. FYI in the early 1980s there was a little shack by the harbour in Roquebrune which sold the best pan bagna. It’s affordable nourishment. It was a family business so perhaps the grandchildren now run it.

Was really hoping you were going to cover or at least mention the beautiful tug boat @ 23:10. 😄
On entrance to the event: "If you mention Bayesian, you will be keelhauled!"
I was wondering if TISG had a stand this year or if they were keeping thier heads down.
I would be awesome to see you do a tour of (special one) the royal huisman. I am one of the builders of that yacht

Yay! Monaco yacht show. Bring if on!
Yes nice to see the booths even the smallest craftiness something to gush over.
How many gold and diamond earrings, rings, and bracelets are on the bottom of Monaco harbor? Maybe the odd Rolex or wallet stuffed with bills?
Only one way to find out.
Forget that...how many bodies are down there?!
thats a really good question, i womder if divers go there for salvage, could be very lucrative
Probably nothing because the divers for the marina are down there most of the day replacing and fixing mooring lines and so on.
