Haha. Thanks for posting. I'm in the samge age bracket and know the feeling. There have been rumours of a possible reboot with The hoff and the original Kitt.
I love Devon's reactions through it all, it to me as I was born in the 80's like a grandparent buying you a car that can do wonders, you doubt them, and they have complete faith in the car's systems, doesnt panic throughout, not wearing a seatbelt either and excited at it all while the grandchild is in astonishment that all gizmos work. These were the days of great television and absolutely stunning cars, I do wisj we had flip up lights on todays cars for one
They can use a hundred different colors and a hundred different cars (like they did later with the Mustang in the new show for example), but this is the real KITT...The Black Pontiac Trans-Am! I still love this car and it brings back my childhood also. Too sad they don't rewind it anymore and let this generation grows up with it like the most of us did.
I was born in 1986 but I watched many re runs of Knight Rider growing up. This scene is just awesome. I wish my experience of test driving a new car could be like this. It would be nice to see similar features in real cars as depicted in Knight Rider. Perhaps some form of Artificial Intelligence could be installed in the cars of the future. I can just imagine the A.I taking over control of a car from the driver when it detects danger in order to protect the occupants. Perhaps A.I could be used to disable a vehicle when it detects that the driver has intentions of causing harm to themselves or others. I suppose we are almost there with those Google Driverless cars. What I predict is probably still many years away, assuming no nuclear wars occur. Oh well. I will just make the best of my good old Ford Focus in the meantime.
rer rer HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHA, finaly a smart comment regarding automatic transmission. But, still, with or without a mechanucal gearbox, i would be killing people to get a car like that in front of my door.
I SAY OLD KNIGHT RIDER ITS WAS THE BST EVER BT THE NEWS ITS COOL BEAUTIFUL DESIGN SAME HAS OLD 1 TO THE BST BEAUTIFUL THE NEW THEY ARE USING A Behind GREEN Screen Bt The Old 1 They Dnot Us Behind The Green Screen They should Try To Take It’s On The Rd W Out Green Screen

strontiumXnitrate Inertial dampeners compensate for the acceleration of the vessel, they aren't activated internally hence won't stop the crew flying about due to exploding consoles.
00:05 David Hasselhoff: What's all this? It looks like Darth Vader's bathroom. Nick Alexandropoulos: Dave if you do not like it then ...would you consider giving it to me, poor old Nick??????
Dang with a press of several code the car can hit anything.. im going to write a note in every part of the dash board.. thats if i can key-in faster...
And meanwhile, tens of thousands of human-controlled vehicles kill or badly injure people every year worldwide and we barely hear a murmur. Because humans killing humans is acceptable, so long as it's "by accident". A few accidents with automated driving systems are to be expected. The difference between those and human-caused accidents is that the vehicle's computer systems will be reprogrammed to never make the same mistake in the same way again - in any car controlled by that system. Can humans claim as much?
Friend in Spain we called it Kitt 2000 :) or "el coche fantastico" :) But itts true official is this the name. If i remember in Germany they also called it Kitt 2000
Man, I'm 42 yrs old, this brings back memories of a good childhood. Still love Knight Rider.

Frankey B In The UK tv channel 5 Spike is currently showing all the episodes just seen very first encounter with KARR and both sagas of Garthe Knight
The best car in the whole white world
It's probably full of politically incorrect content; you know how weak and easily triggered recent generations are.
Frankey B Sad but true.....
Frankey B Let's just hope that they will never use some crappy Mercedes Benz
Rest in peace Edward Mulhare..
Oh, I love the style, the music, just love the 80s ;-)

My favorite childhood series, today in the year 2024 I still watch it
I so loved watching this show in the early 90s. Along with Magnum PI, Miami Vice, Quincy MD, Emergency, A-Team,...
The 3 best 80's shows with the best theme music this, Airwolf and ofc The A Team
"Darth Vader's bathroom"
👍👍👍
Quanto mi piacerebbe viaggiare a bordo della mitica K. I.T.T.!!!!
"Trust me, I know how to drive" and then he uses an automatic gearbox :D ... like pretending to be able to cook and meanwhile defrosting a pizza
rer rer HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHA, finaly a smart comment regarding automatic transmission. But, still, with or without a mechanucal gearbox, i would be killing people to get a car like that in front of my door.
Correctly defrosting a pizza can be a rather demanding task

The Knight Rider 2000 movie had a similar test run scene with the KIFT (Knight 4000). Devon was in that scene too.

Acceleration this fast and they both sit there as if they’re doing 30mph lol
James Evans Probably a primitive starter version of the passive lazer restraint system lol
strontiumXnitrate Inertial dampeners compensate for the acceleration of the vessel, they aren't activated internally hence won't stop the crew flying about due to exploding consoles.
"U must to drive it alone"
00:05 David Hasselhoff: What's all this? It looks like Darth Vader's bathroom.
Nick Alexandropoulos: Dave if you do not like it then ...would you consider giving it to me, poor old Nick??????
I can't remember other scenes with such a sense of speed like this one, not even in SPM (that is too manifestly speeded up).
I PRAY AND HOPE TESLA COMES OUT WITH A KITT CAR!!IT WILL SELL LIKE HOT CAKES!!
"What's all this Darth Vader's Bathroom."

This is the REAL KITT. The remake was soooo terrible!
Agree with you 100% No other show was worthy of the name Knight Rider.
The Ford Shelby GT KR500 was great too. I love Mustangs since Doug Masters drove one in Iron Eagle pt I.
a little cheese but still entertaining to watch even in 2018. unlike airwolf and many others which have not aged so well.

This is probably about 3 years away.
didn't they say that 3 years ago?
They had to reach 130mph to pass the big truck?
to pass it as quickly as possible :D
KITT was showing off, Michael had no control of the car. This is literally explained in the scene 😂
Let's hope the brakes work
Meanwhile in real life we got these thinking cars hitting people and killing them.
beta testing.
Yeah because everything is perfect in the real world.
They were just showing off!
