Man, I love to hear your pronunciations of French words! No, seriously. It always reminds me of my daughter (in a sweet way). By the way, almost all Lancôme products have scent in them, so be careful with your skin. Take care. ☮️💜✌️

Nothing beats Lancome perfumes. i have 2 perfumes from the Tresor line and both are amazing. If you haven’t tried the Midnight Rose version I would recommend you do
As someone who’s unfortunately been cursed with celiac disease, being gluten free isn’t terrible. Just make swaps where you have to (baked goods, noodles, etc) because a lot of things are naturally gluten free and it really only matters if it’s a medically necessary diet. It’s definitely not helpful for weight management 😅
I’ve known people who developed a gluten intolerance from going on a gluten free diet when not medically necessary. My bestie is celiac and it definitely isn’t horrible to be gluten free , but as someone who can eat it, I would never force myself to be gluten free!
As a fellow celiac, I have no clue why people would CHOOSE to be Gluten Free if it wasn’t medically necessary - it’s not terrible but god I miss proper bread and flaky pastry! GF just doesn’t hit the same 🥲
I work for Lancôme and when you spilled the Tresor perfume my soul left my body cause that stuff is STRONG!!!! I can smell it from Oregon. Ps: H.P.N 300 stands for hyaluronic acid, peptides, and niacinamide. The 300 is the amount of peptides in the formula.
I am another rose scented hater. Last weekend I lost my power for 2 days due to an ice storm. I burned up most of my candles the first day & the only candle I had left was a rose scented one I had received as a gift. As much as I needed candlelight & a little warmth, I just couldn’t bring myself to light it. 😊I am loving all of the little perfumes in this calendar as I also love minis. This is a calendar I would definitely buy !
Girl my heart stopped from anaphylaxis (only for 2min then I was in acoma 12 days) so you being so chill having an allergic reaction is craaaazy I could never be so calm😂
I hope that you restore to your healthiest health 🙏 ASAP ❤❤❤ Best wishes to you and your loved ones and lots of love and respect and greetings from me in Amsterdam the Netherlands 🇳🇱 😊
@elaniarkady7351 I'm lucky I went into anaphylaxis in the ER. It was my first time so I didn't have EPI pens at the time (ngl mine are waaaay expired right now tho) and all I remember is my heart feeling like someone reached in my chest and squeezed tf out of my heart and a bunch of alarms went off and the nurse said she needs IV epinephrine cuz she already hit me in both legs and I wasn't reacting. So yeah I'm really lucky it happened there, especially because the med I became allergic to overnight, was a med I had been on for 7 years, and it was literally given to me not even 24hrs prior in the ER with no reaction. I'm super lucky🙌
All of us without life-threatening allergies need to remember how terrifying an exposure is. I've been trying to get my work to avoid prominent allergens like shellfish & nuts at events, but it's hard to convince them that it's good risk management. Besides shrimp are expensive & you have to keep them cold, it's a disaster waiting to happen. I am glad you're all ok.
I have gone into anaphylaxis twice and thankfully the ambulance came quick and my heart didn't stop. It was really close the first time. I passed out and my 8 year old son called 911. He waa my hero. The 2nd time my olsest son called and saved my life. If I start having any reaction to anything I get worried. It happens so darn fast.
That Hypnôse palette looks like every Avon/Oriflame palette… for fair price of only 52€/48£/65$ or 108 AUD 🤯 for 5 👏neutral 👏eyeshadows👏. They smoking something good at Lancôme HQ.
Définicils used to be their big mascara seller. I was always partial to Hypnose, but I had to give it up because it was so freaking expensive. It's a good calendar if you like skincare and perfume. I agree with what you said about the lipsticks. I understand what they were trying to do with the similar shades, but they hav so many beautiful lipsticks. It would have been nice to see some variety. P.S. please keep doing advent and seasonal calendars. No one else on TH-cam can take apart an advent calendar quite like you, and I'm sure there are at least 20 more you can find to take us into June or July 😂.
For years I would use the pink Johnson and Johnson lotion before bed because I loved the smell... so I would probably love that powdery perfume for bedtime... Probably an expensive perfume to sleep in, but I love smelling those soft smells when I get into bed....
I love that you show a collective view of the products at the end! It definitely helps me feel the intrinsic value. Thank you, you're the best advent calander girl around! 🤩🤘
Even Gucci & I think Chanel still put those sponge eyeshadow applicators in the palettes. Blushes have useless brushes, too. Drugstore has finally stopped that for the most part
I mentioned this in another video but thought I’d share it again haha. When it comes to those perfume minis, it's easier to flip them upside down with the lid still on so the perfume fills up the little hole on the lid, and then tap the lid on your wrists or paper for a less messy application ☺️
One of the most quality looking calendars out there! Really pretty display. I love 3 Lancôme products, but I will look for this next year because it’s a good way to try the others that I’d never pay full price for.
THE LANCOME HYPNOSE DRAMA IS MY JAM!!! Many years before I started getting lash extensions . But now i just get the travel size for my bottom lashes. Still love it so much. As always, such a fun video! I love keeping the Christmas spirit alive through these videos of yours! 😂🖤
This is the one I got for myself this year. But it was actually about 150ish dls. It paid itself in value, I LOVED IT. And the sample size creams actually last enough for you to test them properly.
The perfume & bpdy lotion are suppose to go together you rub your key parts with the lotion then spray over said spots with the perfume so the smell can blend in together thua smell beautifully
I liked this one! I love perfumes and scented lotions and skincare so long as it’s not overpowering. And I don’t mind smelling like a g’ma bc I am one 😆(I’m only 51 but I have a 14 yr old granddaughter and a 4 yr old grandson) I love watching your unboxings and the advent calendars are my fave! Have a great rest of your week. Hugs! 💜💖 PS I hope Jeremy, Tater, & Wren are well 😊❤️
You became a gramma so young like me (37)! It's so much fun, and the grandkids like the fact that I can run around and keep up with them! Goodness! There's a possibility that we'll have great grandchildren in our 50's! 😮
Baby powder scent .... when I was a jr. highschooler in the 70s, Love's Baby Soft cologne (which smelled like baby powder) and Love's Fresh Lemon (which smelled like ... well, lemon) were HUGE sellers.
This might be my favorite one so far. Aside from not being able to tolerate heavy fragrances, this one is a winner! Also I hope you feel better if you've developed celiac allergies. That's no fun and I wish you a peaceful tummy in 2024 ❤
Im excited for the VS box. I think it will be just as disappointing as walking into the store just to find out they don't carry my bra size. Still salty. I know i could order online, but that's not the point.
a small word of advice as a gluten free girly- there absolutely will be a period of time where your body is like in rebellion with crazy cravings and hunger and whatnot but i found that loading up on protein and healthy fats really really helps get you over that hump!
Can you do more trying food videos/calendars? I really loved the cookie videos but all of the other food ones are good too!! ❤❤❤I love your videos and I hope you and your family are having a nice day!!😘💖🌞
Just helping out a fellow delicate hair sister (although my hair is fragile due to a rather extreme hair colour.) . Would highly recommend trying sleeping with your hair in a satin hair bonnet. You just pop it on, no need to tie up or clip hair before hand or anything. It stops the hair rubbing about and roughing up cuticles as you sleep, keeps moisture in the hair, and does reduce frizz and breakage a lot. I also found as my hair felt so soft and non frizzy I could give up heated hair styling tools unless it's a special occasion. Hey, it's worth a go, because is was getting frustrated and desperate and it did help my hair. I noticed a difference within a week!
I always love lancôme when I'm gifted it, but it never seems worth the crazy prices. My favorite tinted face powder is actually a $30+ Blush Subtil, and it really feels so good when you brush it on, but a Milani $7 rose blush looks just as good and isnt unpleasant in any way. I remember loving juicy tubes then realizing that most gloss formulas were also improved & really lovely, incl drugstore. Also using really sheer blush as face powder seems esp effective on my splotchy mature fair-light skin. When i dont have time for all my steps, I fake a nice, healthy, lightly evened out complexion this way. Surprised no one talks about how flattering a nudey pink or peach ultra-sheer powder can be all over.
The pink comfort toner from Lancôme is amazing if you have dry sensitive skin. I apply it after washing and before my serum and moisturizer and it helps your skin to absorb the moisture better.
Ohhhhhhhh how exciting, I’ve never seen a Lancôme Advent Calendar and I’m pretty excited about it! I seen a couple of Yrs ago that they offered like a build a box where you could pick one or two items along with them choosing all kinds of makeup and skincare. I so wanted to get the box, but it was out of my price range. Excited to see what you got, I really enjoy the Lancôme Products I have tried!
If you had to try any of the lotions I would definitely recommend the Tonique Confort! It's been my go to toners for at least 4-5 years. It's soothing and moisturizing. It's pricey but I always get two of the bigger size each year during the holiday sales. The Idole mascara is pretty good although I'm not sure it's better than the Monsieur Big mascara. Something I also thought is that if you don't like the mascara wand for the Hypnose maybe you can reuse the wand from the empty Monsieur Big mascara just give it a good wash before using.
Alexandria, you are a joy to watch. Your humor always makes me laugh. I was hoping you would get your $30!!! mascara! When your skin calms down I'd love to see a GRWM using the Lancome products. I always say Lancome like you do. Another great unboxing advent. I'm personally happy for this to continue for months. Take care! Love ya 💕💕💕
That eyeshadow palette is $65! For a luxury advent calendar, it wasn't bad but the bar is low. They didn't have any filler days of mirrors or stickers. The sample skincare items seem bigger than what is normally given out. They did have a few full size items. It was closer to $125, I would be tempted to buy it.
This is actually the calendar I bought for myself this year. I thought it was worth it, I have always loved Lancôme though. The one perfume you didn’t know is “Tresor”. I gave it to my Mom, she loves it, and to me it is a very “mature” woman’s perfume. As you were opening it, I knew you’d get to the very rose smelling tonerish product and I was waiting for your response lol
Door 1 is one of my favorite perfumes. Beautiful is my favorite because it's what my Mom always wore. It's all she ever wore actually. I can't afford either of them but I always soak myself with one of them when I go to the mall...lol.
ALSO ❤ I live in New England. I’ve been using pure Argan oil on my face, then after it’s fully absorbed, I slather a thick facial cream over it. Oh it is fantastic for my skin.
I like this calender. I love the Idole mascara. It took my barely there lashes and in one coat they looked amazing. Two coats and they looked so thick and longer too. They curled up and stayed that way even though I dozed off for an hour.
I’ve been gluten free for 10+ years It’s hard, but it’s worth it (for me- it makes me sooooo sick). The GF food choices are so much better than they were years ago!
I JUST LOVE Lancôme’s “ La Vie Est Belle perfume, & I’m NOT a floral perfume lover at all. I am on a severe budget, so I waited until the perfume was on sale ( Mother’s Day) when the rollerball was on sale & I had a coupon …A girl’s gotta do what a Girl’s gotta do! Would have been a great Advent Calendar to receive. Thanks for always making me SMILE BEAUTIFUL LADY 😊 ~Hugs, Anita3kids
I say we normalize advent calendars for birthdays, anniversaries, & as gifts for anything we darn well feel like giving them for...like your bestie's getting divorced, had a baby & she needs something for that doesn't revolve around her uterus or the dad buried in baby Einstein videos he can't remember how to talk to other adults. Maybe someone you care about just got their dream job & are now having a bout of imposter syndrome, you could give them one to help support them through it & build them up.
Would love to hear more about your gluten free journey! My kiddo has to be GF so I always love hearing and spreading the word about it. FYI- the GF Oreos are amazing and they just came out with a golden version!
I do love Lancôme skin care. Using rose water means they really are using actual rose infusion which means they smell like actual roses instead of rose scent. I love their hydrating rose cream cleanser and toner since I have a drier complexion. The perfume in the tiny bottle is Tresor (I can tell by the bottle shape) which it’s good to know what it smells like because I hate powdery smells 😂
For those who didn't take French in college, the first perfume translates roughly as "life is beautiful" which I think is cool for a beauty brand to remind people (in my oppinion) that life is beautiful... and not stuff. Also as someone who has been gluten free 18 years, I believe it's worth it health wise. Just warning that it takes time for your stomach to heal and see the results. For me every time I get "gluten poisoning" (my words. I have a severe allergy so I get sick just from cross contamination) it takes my stomach about 3 months to heal. But if it helps its worth it!
Just a heads up from someone who took a few years of French, "la vie est belle" is pronounced "la" (like fa la la) "vee" (like the letter v) "eyy" (like the letter a, but a longer sound? or like a guy would call out to his buddy ayyy) "bell" (like the english word bell) Also some general French pronunciation tips: The last letter is generally silent, unless its a vowel with an accent on it (like déjà in déjà vu VS est). Anytime you have "eu" in a word, like in yeux (eyes), it sounds like "eww". So Yeux is prounced like "eww" because you leave off the last letter's sound. "eau" like in eau de parfum or in peau, is pronounced like a very round "Oh". (the word eau means water, so eau de parfum is scented or perfumed water) I hope this is helpful or interesting to you! I don't mind the mispronouncing, French pronunciations are not at all similar/intuative to English ones and its rough to improve unless you can listen to and repeat after actual French speakers. I really love the advent calendar unboxings and I'm excited to see the next one! 💖💖
I agree, french can be difficult to learn and pronunce (i'm a native french speaker) Noir (meaning black) is pronunced by adding a "n" in front of the english "war" : nwar

So many understand when you said that it smelled like a Lancôme perfume. Estee Lauder always reminds me of my grandmother and great grandmother.
You can find a lot of dupes for Lancome in the Loreal line. The are owned by the same parent company.
Take care! Love ya 💕💕💕
Yes! That pallette looks like a revlon eyeshadow palette!
Another great Advent calendar opening! Please keep them coming! ❤
Tresore perfume my favorite ❤ I would know that bottle anywhere. LoL
That is worth it. Their skin care is one of the Best.
When you said, it doesn’t smell horrible, I immediately thought of spraying mario badescu all over my face, and then you said it 🤣😂
Also love the set-up - it does look like a city skyline!
I couldn't open all these advent calendars cause I would be tempted to keep all the packaging/boxes cause they're so cute
Your skin is glowing and beautiful in this video.
I LOVE the Lancome Hypnose mascara. It’s the only mascara that doesn't make my eyes itch.
Day 17 eye cream is AMAZING!! Seriously I made that little pot last a year and the change was awesome
Door 1 is one of my favorite perfumes. Beautiful is my favorite because it's what my Mom always wore. It's all she ever wore actually. I can't afford either of them but I always soak myself with one of them when I go to the mall...lol.
I love the eye palette! Fabulous colours and I need those directions 😂! I’m hopeless with war paint
Same.
I love these videos! They are my break from my kids and give me a bit of sanity back!
i think your advent calender videos are the only youtube videos i ever consistently watch 😅
ALSO ❤ I live in New England. I’ve been using pure Argan oil on my face, then after it’s fully absorbed, I slather a thick facial cream over it. Oh it is fantastic for my skin.
The mini perfume that smelled powdery is called Tresor. One of my favorites.
The Zendaya one is my fave but the little bottle with the black cap I got complimented on so much when I wore it x
I like this calender. I love the Idole mascara. It took my barely there lashes and in one coat they looked amazing. Two coats and they looked so thick and longer too. They curled up and stayed that way even though I dozed off for an hour.
I got a Helix mattress for Christmas. I got the Midnight Luxe. It’s the most comfortable mattress I’ve ever slept on!!
La Vie est Belle: Life is Beautiful.
I’ve been gluten free for 10+ years
It’s hard, but it’s worth it (for me- it makes me sooooo sick). The GF food choices are so much better than they were years ago!
It seems like a good idea for less wasteful packaging to me, and it looks so pretty!
I would love this advent calendar ❤
Cauliflower and lentil pasta is delish! It takes longer to cook, but put soaghetti ssuce and meat on it,yum!
The eyeshadow reminds me of the old Almay quads!
I think they still sell those!
I just got back from vacation and am abolutely exhausted. Your videos are so relaxing to watdh while I'm resting. 😊
The eyeshadow palette reminds me of Almay
After a stressful work day, your videos are so relaxing. 😊
My favorite perfume is that 1st one!
Would love to hear more about your gluten free journey! My kiddo has to be GF so I always love hearing and spreading the word about it. FYI- the GF Oreos are amazing and they just came out with a golden version!
Hypnose…pronounced “ip nose”. You will love the Idloe mascara. It doesn’t budge and gives amazing length. Not so much volume. You are adorable.
That's awesome that there was a full size eye shadow palette
so glad you got this one! The packaging is so pretty and I was curious about it.
Just a heads up from someone who took a few years of French, "la vie est belle" is pronounced
"la" (like fa la la)
"vee" (like the letter v)
"eyy" (like the letter a, but a longer sound? or like a guy would call out to his buddy ayyy)
"bell" (like the english word bell)
Also some general French pronunciation tips:
The last letter is generally silent, unless its a vowel with an accent on it (like déjà in déjà vu VS est).
Anytime you have "eu" in a word, like in yeux (eyes), it sounds like "eww". So Yeux is prounced like "eww" because you leave off the last letter's sound.
"eau" like in eau de parfum or in peau, is pronounced like a very round "Oh". (the word eau means water, so eau de parfum is scented or perfumed water)
I hope this is helpful or interesting to you! I don't mind the mispronouncing, French pronunciations are not at all similar/intuative to English ones and its rough to improve unless you can listen to and repeat after actual French speakers. I really love the advent calendar unboxings and I'm excited to see the next one! 💖💖
I agree, french can be difficult to learn and pronunce (i'm a native french speaker)
Noir (meaning black) is pronunced by adding a "n" in front of the english "war" : nwar
