Thanks to you, I realised these were not going to work on my fence as I need one long run. Thank you

    The tree looks fabulous!

You're supposed to start wrapping the lights in the middle of the tree. One strand goes up and the other strand goes down the tree. That way you can better determine how much slack and how dense you want the lights to be. It also makes it less time consuming. I made the mistake of starting both strands at the bottom and weaving both up the tree crisscrossing each other. Spent over 1 hour putting up the lights when it should have taken 30 minutes.

I usually get 9 - 10 feet trees and just got a pack of 750 twinkly strings. I'm not going to go all the way around the tree so wondering should I grab another 3 or 400!?

Yeah, I always end up with extra slack on my top half, so I definitely need to adjust to start a little lower than middle this year. Thanks for watching!

@@mighty_maxwell If your tree is a wide tree like a Douglas Fir at least a 100 lights per feet. If you're really into a designer looking tree. Normally I would keep adding to have at least 3,000 lights. But since these new types of led rgb, its don't take as much. The goal is to make your tree look like glass in the window. In addition too, for those twinkly's to really look good the lights need to be properly hand place -evenly distributed through the tree, plus it can't look empty in spots. It will still look tacky. Its takes a good 2-3 hours to place the lights and space them evenly. Once its perfect don't remove them. Thats the trick to any tree. I have seen some horrible twinkly light trees

I went with the 750 lights thinking they were split in 2, so I have half on my 6 1/2 tree and just left the other bundle under the tree as a ball of lights ugh! They do look pretty though and for the price I got them for at Costco totally worth it. Next year I will go with less lights and use these for outside.

    Hi
    Tis the season 🎄 ha
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video. Huge help.
    Couple questions ……
Not sure if you said you picked low density or medium density ???
Also, have you had any problems with random lights not working the color that they should be? ???
And one last question did you go ahead and get the warranty?
If you could let me know the answers to these questions that would be awesome
Once again, thank you so much for the helpful video

Thanks for the comment. My count would technically count as low density for the tree size I go with (~8 feet), but I think it’s plenty of coverage. The app uses the camera to map lighting, so as long as you take you time to go through that process you won’t have any color match problems. I recommend using the 3D map option. Finally I did not get the warranty and have had no need thus far.
      Thanks for watching!

So the normal RGB version cant do any (warm) white? Is the warm white version better then the RGB?

    • @mighty_maxwell
      @mighty_maxwell  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      According to their site,
“In the RGB spectrum, White is the result of the blend between the 3 RGB color sources and can reach different graduation (colder or warmer), depending on the color combination, but it doesn't include pure White, that's why we created the Multicolor + White line.”
So the only difference will be that you can’t get pure white in the standard rgb. So if that doesn’t matter to you, then you don’t need it.
      Thanks for watching!

@@mighty_maxwell Thanks for the reply! Just 1 more question: Are the lights dimmable via the app? So I can adjust the brightness?

No problem! Yes you can adjust brightness.

On the website they tell you biased values for "density" so that you spend more money. Thanks for the video

Oh yeah I couldn’t imagine having twice the density on my tree. You’d be able to see if from space.
      Thanks for watching!

@@mighty_maxwell I noticed you only put lights on the front 2/3rds of the tree. Maybe Twinkly's recommendations is for covering the full tree. Therefore they suggest a higher amount of lights.

    Twinkly lights are very addictive.
