I used to do this type of thing oh 15 to 20 years ago. I would go to Mt. Baker/Snoqualmie National Forest outside of Granite Falls, WA. My quest was seasonal waterfalls. Your trip reminded me of the many that I took over the years - cold, wet and the inability to get warm and dry. I would camp at the established campgrounds, Verlot, Gold Basin or Red Bridge on the Mountain Loop Highway. Then in the morning (an hour or two before sunrise, I would drive up one of the logging roads, kind of follow along on my topomap and look for ridges, and valleys then trek through the bush to find runoff with good drops. But like you said, it was hard to get a great photo. Sure I got a few that I was proud of, but honestly it was the trek - the time with nature, the search. I saw so so many things, that probably have only been seen by a few people ever. Sure, it is just rainwater, snow melt run-off, but these are different every year and some of them just look awesome the way it fell of the rocks or whatever. It never occurred to me to make a video - it was just before that was really a thing to do. But most of the pictures I took could not portray what I saw. Anyways - this was very nostalgic for me.
This was a fantastic video, I enjoyed it. I could not imagine doing what I described above, AND make a video (unless I had a camera person). The thought of having to set the camera film walking off screen, then go back and get the camera, and actually walk off - ugg, it is 4x harder than just going for a trek. Props to you! your hard work, and passion show. I will watch more of your videos.

That’s great man! I’m always a fan of working with scenes that are always changing. The success rate is low but boy is it magical when you succeed. I appreciate your comment and your support Brian! I hope you continue to enjoy, thanks

Wiesendanger Falls. What a picturesque waterfall. The entire Columbia River Gorge is magical. Nice video.

SO glad the YT home page gave me your video, I've dreamed of the PNW for a long time now and this just solidified that. Those last two photos were INSANE, the waterfall one particularly.. Love your filming and the clear effort that went into this. Great job. Jake, a new Subscriber 👋

the photo of the waterfall with the light streaming in - I immediately got the sense that it was the picture of "winter and spring". A visualization of the seasons right next to each other. Lovely video and great photography!
