@onedaysoon07 The truth of God's Word stands. The fact is that nothing is more vile than hell. Sadly, Carlton Pearson openly rejected God's Word. He rejected that the Bible is the infallible Word of God. He rejected the reality of hell or that Jesus is the ONLY way. Yes, with a certainty, it needs to be talked about, and there is no way to do it nicely. Pearson literally said that God would have to apologize to satan because satan would be in heaven because there was no hell. It needs to be talked about in the strongest, most direct way possible. I have zero interest in anyone speaking softly about something so serious. Either you believe the Word of God or you don't. I choose to believe it, and I praise God for the boldness that Bishop Ellis stood immovable on the true, unchanging Word of God.
You need to study the Bible some more.
Jesus died for everybody not just Christian. It’s our job to tell them. When he left he stated it is finished I have done what I came to do. You have no power to call a man of God an enemy of God. You are out of order Bishop. He did not need to make money.

It is not hateful to expose false teaching. I met Carlton Pearson and also attended his church. I never hated him. But Carlton Pearson absolutely taught unbiblical things. We need to closely study the words Yeshua spoke. He loves us, washes us, and also warns us.

With all due respect, This is sad. If this is the state of modern theology, the church is in trouble. I played this video hoping to find a commensurate theological response. This is the same ole same ole, tradition and emotionalism. Neither case was properly treated. These people don’t even know how to rebut Bishop Pearson’s position. You cannot comprehend the argument without an etymological and historical appraisal of the specific biblical sources of traditional Protestant church doctrine. So are these dear saints equipped to defend the church’s position now?? Absolutely not. Much of the theology held by the mainstream Protestant church is still rooted in Catholic doctrine. We must learn the text before they distorted and contorted it into the book we have today. There is certainly immutable truth in it but the book is not infallible due to human error. The difference in doctrinal positions lies in this area. We can quote serfs e level scriptures all day to make any point we want. That’s why there are thousands of doctrine within the Protestant church. It’s time to do better. We have to study and that doesn’t mean only defending your own current viewpoint. Study for truth and let it fall where it may. If it means we have to rethink everything we thought we knew. Press.
This response is not and analytical theological in any way, shape or form. We sing, shout and huckabuck through weighty issue without equipping people. But in bishop Ellis’ defense, there is no adequate response possible to refute the truth when broken down as it should be and rightly divided. Unfortunately that did not happen here. We must continue our spiritual quest for the full knowledge of God. That means questioning….

I get what new information threatens but who are we to surprise new theological arguments? When we know better we need to do better. Yes, I believe this is exactly what has happened to Western religion and the traditions of men, not Carlton Pearson. Pearson was one of the few who actually understood the Gospel. He not only avidly studied Scripture, but he also studied the Greek and the Hebrew. Dude lied! Ellis didn’t kick him out, he told the bishops that he would walk Pearson out. Nor did he call him a heretic, he said that the board reserved the right to answer in writing. Bishop Ellis is an ole school COGIC preacher; thus, this is how the older COGIC/holiness Pastors communicated. He was not an eloquent speaker, but he was a man of strength, character, and a vocal leader. At the end of the day, you would know where you stood with him. Those ole school preachers were direct, forthcoming and they didn't play around.
