Everyone can hate on stellar but there is no denying they killed it with this song. One of the best releases of the year.

The Vibrato MV has more views (it's been out for 2 days) than Fool, (the cutesy-ish one, with a pinch of sexy) which has been out since March. Plus Vibrato is STELLAR's first track to make the HOT 100. Even though they pushed the boundary (which they have previously set with Marionette) farther with Vibrato, the reception has been good. Most people seem to recognize that Vibrato is a total bop and is one of the strongest, if not, THE strongest, summer release.

Stellar's been out for a little while
They debuted with Rocket Girl alongside original members Jo A and Lee Seul.
That song went nowhere then they came back with UFO which saw Minhee and Hyo Eun join and that song went nowhere either.
They disappeared for awhile and came back with Study which also didn't really have a big influence. It wasn't until Marionette that they got exposure and I'm sure if their choreo wasn't so hyper sexual then Marionette would've flopped as well. They released Mask and Fool (two flawless comebacks) which both flopped and now their back with Vibrato aka Vibrator aka Opening Vagina and this is getting exposure again due to the sexy thing.

honestly i dont know how to feel about this video or song. stellar said in the past that the felt humiliated and uncomfortable when they were doing their marionette promotions. i dont know if things have changed since then or their company is just doing the worst and forcing them to do something like this. overall i just feel bad for them
also i think you think the mirror scene feels familiar cause nine muses did something similar in dolls and i know you loved that song
I feel like hopefully they have just gotten comfortable with it cause I don't think Eric would make them do something that they're not comfortable doing. I don't think I would hope not

Actually it wasn't the company that decided the sexy concept it was the girls themselves because they didn't know what else to do.
Abdiel Perez actually no. there was an article that came out recently that they talked about how their company actually wanted them to dance in thongs but they said no because it would obviously ride up and they threatened to walk out and leave. the company finally gave in and let them dance in what little they finally had on. stellar deal with this exploitative crap because thats what the company deals them, regardless of how comfortable they are with it, and this is the only real way they've been given any kind of attention. their company is dangling a week long international vacation in their face if they can keep their song in the top 10 searches for a week. i feel nothing but pity for them because the song is really good but all the company see these girls are as tits and vaginas and cant think of any other way to creatively promote this group.

You guys should definitely check out Mask from them! It was one of the best releases from last year in my opinion and it never got any attention at all.
14fanofanime I think Mask didn't get a good feedback because it was like randomly released and then I think they began promoting before the MV came out so people didn't realize the song was out
My problem with Stellar doing sexy concepts is that they have said before that they feel very uncomfortable doing it, and this mv really topped it (probably their sexiest mv)

Okay so I've started liking K-Pop for about 4 years now and OMG the sexual content has escalated tremendously not just with this group. So much more suggestive content aka Ice Cream Cake, Joker, etc...more skin and more gyrating. Not hating but WOW!

That Mirror on Mirror part you were talking about was used in New by Nine Muses and Mirror by 4 Minute. I'm sure it's been used other places though.

I love this concept, I think it's nice to really cover this topic. And the song is amazing. But I've liked all their songs. I liked Stellar, with Fiestar, Girls Day, and EXID all before they went sexy. But I'm not able to support them in any way so it's mostly up to the people in Korea to be fans or the international fans to show interest so they have performances abroad. For all the people that act so obsessed with kpop they still really don't support the artists all that much.
This is their career and life. They work hard and have to resort to what gets attention to make any money. Look at GLAM, they're so poor a girl ended up in jail trying to get out of debt.
Anyway I really love this song and hope they win something, as well as 9Muses. They have the best songs, I'm just waiting for Hyuna and T-ara.

I've been a fan since the first song in now they did with Eric of Shinwha because they were under the same label and he was their producer person thingy. then they took a long break then came out with Study and so on and so forth!!

I payed attention to them. I don't find their sexy concepts that bad. Marionette was a nice song. But I didn't like fool. I like this song but the video does make me uncomfortable but at the same time I don't have to watch it. People got angry at this one because in the teaser pics the girls were wearing a dress with super high slits and thongs. I don't think there is a problem with sexy concepts but I do think there are better ways to do them. However I think this style of sexy goes well with the meaning of the video. Sooo

I remember stellar's debut and their follow up (they were the group that some dude named eric was sponsoring if I remember right) and I thought they were gonna be all alien chic cutesy //sigh// but yeah that comment is SOOO true. yall's reaction to some of the dance moves was hilarious though hahaha

I think the song is fine and even to some level the video was good (tho no sense of subtlety imagery lol) I wonder tho whether this will be the peak of the Sexy concept or if this will set a precedent for other groups that they will try to push (which I can see being very dangerous).
I do agree it's definitely getting attention, esp at this time where everyone and their mother is doing a comeback, but whether its the right attention is the real problem...

HAve you seen Stellar on a show called Spokesperson? There they are debating the sexy concept several girl groups are taking over for their stages and mvs.In this show it was also carified that they werent forced at all doing this concept.
So just to answer those 2 girlswho were reactin to this mv ,if they have to be worried if stellar were forced by there company, i can say no^^.
