Hey! Developer here. Awesome to see that you've almost made it to the end of the current content, after you made a video about the demo last year. I'm glad to hear that you've enjoyed it so far! It's cool to see how much the channel has since grown as well! Well deserved, you have a very comfortable voice and pace of going through mechanics and thoughts on how to tackle things. I'm not entirely sure that I got the April fools joke. So I'll just hope it's not an elaborate way of making fun of the game ;D and instead is about it being a genre you don't generally cover. In any case, thank you for a fun video!
I genuinely forgot it's April fools, thought it's just a regular video. That's an actual game a could see myself playing, it seems quite simple, yet interesting and it's always satisfying to see the multiplier go brrr. I just haven't played idle games in a while
I love the game! If NG+ would be a bit more powerful or exiting to make a reset worthwhile, I would maybe go for it The April fools joke was mostly the thumbnail
@@Sifd Ha, gotcha! That makes much more sense ;D - Glad to hear you've enjoyed it! As for New Game+, it's mostly aimed for players that are looking for a reason to replay the game (some quickly, some after a couple of months). But it aims not to invalidate the balance of the game either. It'll also slowly get stronger as more content is released, and see more expansion after the story is finished entirely. In practice most of the speed differences players see during their first NG+ is usually due to their better understanding of mechanics and clever new choices, but the bonuses open up some possibilities sooner too. At the same time I want the game to have a true ending, so that players that like to complete a game and shelve it can comfortably do so too. Hopefully leaving them with some fond memories! NG+ is designed to let individual players choose their personal preference, by staying fully optional. Of course, Early Access is only just getting close to the halfway mark, so for the foreseeable future I'll just hope players return to check out new chapters when they launch! The ambition is somewhere between 20 and 25 chapters before leaving Early Access, so long as the game doesn't get to a point where it'd overstay its welcome.
I didn't even watch this video, I had the audio on it in the background while playing a different idle game. After 20 minutes of half-listening I bought the game and haven't opened the other idle game since - great game!
Sifd with fast talking and excited voice playing idle game makes me want to see DF play this with his slow talking and monotone voice lol. The duality!
@@achtsekundenfurz7876 that was a hot take. You can dislike a particular creator, but dang. In the stellaris community, Aspec?? can hit me that way (not in the mood to listen to that type of content). Actually I'm fairly sure it's not Aspec. Maybe. Regardless. This was a fun new to me channel.
@@ChaoticNeutralMatt I actually had to google ASpec; thanks for pointing me to someone new. I was talking about Wanderbots, a youtuber who's famous for going _UHHHH_ twice a sentence, and usually at least once within the first 10 seconds, and completely missing a key concept of a game. He has improved a bit over the last year gameplay-wise, so _sometimes_ I watch one of his videos muted. But content-heavy games like Increlution, X4, Stellaris (IDK if he covered that at all) or EU? Not gonna happen.
Using minimax wrong. Its to maximise the minimum gain. The true way to do this is to work out how much food you need, catch and cook that many, with no overlap on starting the next catch of fish. Then starting the woodcutting/digging for the hut. Bearing in mind to probably -1 fish needed as the level up makes it faster which slightly changes the number of fish needed.
I have soooooooooooo many hours into this. It’s SO good. Increlution and Your Chronicle are by far my top story-driven idlers. Increlution author needs to stop adding chapter so I can catch up (no, not really…I LOVE that he keeps adding stuff faster than I can get to it)
Due to the way that exponential growth works, the speed at which you build a hut has no effect on how much time you gained on a run. Every run that is 'lost' at a decay rate of 4 will reach that number at the exact same time as long as they have built the same number of huts. So while it is possible for a hut to take longer to build than the amount of extra time gained, the run that manages to get both huts built would only lose to a run that skipped a hut if the food efficiency granted more time than the hut.
Exactly. Each type of hut seems to halve the decay rate, which means it takes 3 minutes and a few seconds off the "age" of the run. How long construction itself takes isn't that important. It's important to have just enough food to live through construction and preparation of the next food item, because if you have excess food, you could have finished the hut sooner. Simple example: If building the first hut takes 2 minutes and preparing food takes one minute, and if health lost in the first minute equals X, you lose X + 1.25X + 1.5625X health if you get food first, but X + 1.25X + 0.78125X if you build the hut first. That's a difference of 0.78125X. (Of course, if the latter is still more than your total health, that would be a game over.) And during the 4th minute, you'd lose ~0.98X health in both cases.
It’s been a while since I first played, and I must say it evolves really nicely (both during playthrough and gameplay development). Unfortunately you need to play this game for like at least 20 hours until you find out about the cool stuff
I love this game and i imformed for its existance from you Sifd! Thanks for the updated gameplay, even as an april's fool "joke" :D Keep up the awesome job.
Sooooo.... Does this game do better than Trimps? I ask because Trimps is free and is playable on mobile/steam/web page/anything that can access the web and is extremely similar from what little I have seen here. A new take on that formula with new secrets and different progression routes sounds great but I am curious how the two compare.
p sure i got this game from you covering it last year, very interesting how different play styles can be! while maybe not optimal i prefer to grind up food skills in new chapters/difficulty spikes before grinding the others partly so i can get that sweet sweet automation sooner and partly cause if i can only get 1 or 2 of a resource i need 50 of to get the hut/other decay lower it seems more efficient to make the food part of it less juggle-y so time can be spent on the non food skills more effectively later
Thank you for showing this Sifd, I paused the video after the first few minutes and bought the game and played ap to the wolf fight before watching the rest - Love it!
Just came here to say that after this vid I bought the game and just now I finished it :) Could have done it yesterday to be honest. But after I made... The big thing at the end (btw I like made victory loud scream when I beat it). To not spoil things. I died from exhaustion at the last task after it :D And then I went into farm mode for a day. I really enjoyed the game, waiting for more and thanks a lot @Sifd for showing this here :)
I love this game, i personally cannot play games for more than 1 game session before going back to league, but if i had enough energy i would difnitely play this game
I guess your too young to remember the original idle flash game. You opened it and that was it. No play, no inputs. You would start in town, get some stuff and go fight monsters. This is WAY to interactive to be the *most* idle game.
I loved this game when I first played it, but after I unlocked automation my game broke and would always auto harvest berries when it ran out and no matter what I did I could not turn it off and couldn't progress because all the game did was berries. But I am glad I can see further in the game now
"The most idle idle game that exists" Yeah no, Increlution is far from being "The most idle". The only way for it to be "the most idle" is if it had a "auto rebirth" function and a way to have a default automation for the actions that you haven't unlocked "automation" yet. The way increlution is now, it needs to be babysat a lot and is not at all "the most idle", far from it.

Sick gameplay, when the number went from 1/10 to 2/10, I was in idling in my seat.
number get beeg. reelees dopameen.
When Sifd came back in the post-credits scene and said, "It's Idlin' Time," and proceeded to idle all over the place, I checked my inventory.
Absolutely incredible game, I was at the edge of my seat from start to finish. That moment when you idled all over the wooden hut was breathtaking.
Sifd with fast talking and excited voice playing idle game makes me want to see DF play this with his slow talking and monotone voice lol. The duality!
OTOH, wanderbots can go ______ himself. Not gonna sit thru 49 minutes of him going _UHHHHH_

that automation option is unlocked as you complete actions a given number of times. eventually you can just automate it.
These kinds of games aren't my cup of tea but I find this community very interesting
the ng+ stuff is pretty fun, on my 3rd run of the game right now, fun to experiment as just a good ol idle game in the background
Due to the way that exponential growth works, the speed at which you build a hut has no effect on how much time you gained on a run. True. But the thing is, ir you delay the hut, the decay before you build the hut is more untill you build the hut, which makes you waste food.

You might like Idelon too sifd.
Pretty good idle rpg that gets crazier the farther you go too.
Literally my first time watching your videos is increlution back in the day
holy hell this gameplay is intense
I love this game and i imformed for its existance from you Sifd! Thanks for the updated gameplay, even as an april's fool "joke" :D Keep up the awesome job.
If you like this type of games Your Chronicle could also be quite interesting to you.
Thank you for the video
cool! I like idles, thanks for showcasing, Im buyed it and playing rn, generation 33 rn
Holy… i love idle games and i love sifd…best day ever!

April first or not, this was great and I want more idle games!
This reminds me a lot of Antimatter Dimensions in some ways, i might check this out, it seems pretty interesting!

I love that game. But not sure if suited for streaming unless you want to have a little philosophy podcast happening while numbers run on the screen.

such fun gameplay!
Click 41:18 twice to hear Jimmy T. (from Warioware)'s ringtone
Happy April Fools everybody!!
First!
This game is very poggers; I have seen other people play this game and it is very cool, although complex!
wait I didn’t realize this video was 52 minutes long how did I watch all of it
Seriously, play Progress Quest.
I was looking for this comment.
I'm not sure if it's worthy of the blind emoji but I think you're wanting to look at the "offline time" settings?
Yeah. Yeah, you found it literally a minute later in the video. Xp
Play 'A Dark Room' it is a great text based game.
I was wondering how ad would do on his channel, reality just dropped and he starts an idle game !
Can you do more vids on this?
I loved it when Sifd said "It's idling time" and idled all over the place
This game looks pretty similar to Kittens Game. It has a similar incremental progression system.
I played this game with an auto clicker after I got to the late game because the incremental gains got obnoxious
How can I make my APM as high as yours?
I guess your too young to remember the original idle flash game. You opened it and that was it. No play, no inputs. You would start in town, get some stuff and go fight monsters.
This is WAY to interactive to be the *most* idle game.
welp I accidentally found my read a book game.
I absolutely love this game and got 240 hrs. Its not a lot for an idle but I was only holding back because story...
Progress Quest is the most idle game that exists.
i have almost 4000 hours on this game and most of it is because i forgot that i had the game running
played this game. had fun
You need to play anti-idle: The Game
You can cancel battles in the middle of one
You want an idle game, check out tree simulator.
so basically everything in the game is based on exponential growth
If you think this is the most idle idle game, you have never tried Sandcastle Builder.
Oh I love this game :)
number go up frfr
Y'all may be meming, but i legitimately have 10k hours on this game on steam and i love it so mucb.
Love this idle game.
24h played i can clear first chapter without eating
Numbers go brrr
Now I want to read an isekai like this.. hahaha
Awesome game
How does this vid have less than 1k likes?
Progress quest is more idle
very cool game
did you have fun playing the game
spread sheets dont seem like fun to me
Thanks for trying to help us, but there is no helping me. I watch on my phone so I can't read a lot. Thankfully I like Sifd's voice explaining things.
over 3,700 hours in game xD it is fun ;D
I loved this game when I first played it, but after I unlocked automation my game broke and would always auto harvest berries when it ran out and no matter what I did I could not turn it off and couldn't progress because all the game did was berries. But I am glad I can see further in the game now
dang, i was going to download it but it costs money, oh well lol
I like it
Try Melvor
Progress Quest is more idle than this
Mind giving ngu idle a try? You'll probably dislike it tho.

Yeah
This is less idle than progress quest. Your title "The Most Idle Idle Game That Exists! " is false.
I got 2 minutes faster on my second run
Also I played for 2 hours on steam and im still not past chapter 1
Melvor clears unfortunately
i got 1600hrs
April Fools
I'd guess it's One Piece
