- In the first of two episodes, I will be testing the actual fuel economy I get from my 2020 Skoda Superb. I have a 17-mile commute on rural roads, and in this episode I am driving normally in 'normal' mode, using the adaptive cruise control throughout most of the journey.
When I get to work, one of the car's safety features cuts in and stops me from reversing into a post behind the parking space I was backing into!
In the next episode I will be doing the same journey in similar conditions, but this time driving in 'economy' mode, to see what difference it makes to the MPG, if any.
lovely stuff
Thanks! :-D
Wow wonderful
Have had a Superb 2.0tsi 220 for 5years. Have had 55.6mpg on a drive back from Scotland, average 38 to 39 over 3000mile segments, never use economy mode, always in individual mode.....and just now and again in sport.
Amazing
Is this the 190 hp or the 276 hp version?
It's the 190. Not sure what kind of MPG you'd get from the 276 but it'll be a lot lower I'd imagine.
David Edgeworth Thanks. My Octavia 1.4 TSI 150 does 50-55, but I am very gently on the pedals. The 276 hp version is probably at 30-35.
I've got the 2.0 280ps non GPF model and I get 36/37mpg on the work commute and max so far was 42mpg on a trip from Birmingham to London.
At the risk of sounding rude this whole zeon lights are a joke
As you said yourself there too strong
So imagine when someone forgets to dim
The lights on this model are LED, which are even brighter than xenon. They dim automatically for oncoming traffic but you do need to be careful with them.
