So sad all of our freedoms have been taken away from us and we are no longer allowed to make our own risk assessment and decide what is right for us. These videos do bring much comfort but we should never have been in a situation where this is the only way we can explore the world. Wish I had travelling to Japan more often when I had the chance.

The last time I was in Tokyo (November 2019, just before COVID hit) I stayed at the Sky Heart Hotel Koiwa, a literal stone's throw from the Keisei Koiwa station. I have walked this route many, many times... it's remarkable to be able to see it on here. Great work as usual!
I still remember 2-3 years ago when I got a habbit to buy some fast-food then back to my own room and watching your walking videos. Life was good back then the Covid comes and changed everything around the world... Miss the old days so much. Stay safe, sir.

However, the signs of a pandemic are all the same 😥 I especially enjoy your rainy, night time walks and viewing the cute little houses and apartments and gardens and seeing the similarities in our cultures too. For example, the cars that we drive, especially our Toyotas 😊 Thank you for some super relaxing videos! I will be watching all of your videos from now on 😊

The area I was most interested in seeing is around the Koiwa station on the north entrance side because they are going to begin doing so much redevelopment there in the next year or so and Ito-yokado and everything behind it will be demolished! There are several restaurants on that street that we will definitely miss once demolition begins next spring! We hope we can visit there once more before all of that happens!

I think i'm starting to grasp the success of japanese street cuteness and coziness. The less land you have, the more beautiful and cozy it becomes, because while you have at least that much land, the more you care about it and want it to be as cozy and clean as possible. Because it is YOURS!

That's because unlike the US and UK, people show respect for their surroundings. I lived in Northern Japan, and used to sweep in front of my house every day.
I miss this area soooo much. Walking and biking along this river was a common past time for me. One of the best parts about living in this area. They had a huge fireworks show there once a year and shin-shibamata station is BUSY and people set up tarps/reserve their spot on the hill hours before it happens.
I really like how this movie starts in quiet evening suburb and ends in nigh city, great timing and route :) Edit: shame the capsule machine did not work 😭
