It's only 1.5 L econo go anywhere car, simple plain aesthetics and it is in stick shifts, Most Americans want high BHP and Auto Tranny, and likes tech add ons. The Jimny is fun to mod and its a driver's car. Its good on topography rides.

In what way does the number of cylinders matter? Clearly Koenigsegg is getting the horspower out of 3cyl, only Americans thinks you need more cylinders to make more horspower, the rest of the world knows there is little correlation
They've made them forever, I have one under the 25 year import law in the USA... But if you're in Canada you can get 15 year old ones! Those are are cuter and not so tough looking but they're still just as solid offroad
