Grant seems like the nicest most supportive husband ever
I was just think how great it would be to have a husband that involved. My husband would just let me do all the decorating myself. 😅

I have a phenomenal husband (cooks and cleans), but he is a total Scrooge when it comes to Christmas. Grant is amazing!
My husband heard your voice and goes, “does Leigh Ann know she’s your best friend?” And I don’t know whether to take that as an insult or not 😂🤍

I know right! isn't it so weird that we can feel like we know Leigh Ann so well when she barely knows anything about us? internet parasocial relationships are fascinating to me but also so hard for my brain to comprehend. (Would love to hear Leigh Ann's thoughts on this!)
Thankfully Leigh Ann's heart is big enough for all of us 🤗

The fact that the other banister at the bottom of the stairs is bare is driving me nuts lol.
Also, the music you put with the art show clips? PERFECT. It completely sucked me in lol. I was sad that it ended so quickly.
First off the art show clip was fantastic, second the music *** chefs kiss yes ultimate ambiance. I hope they do something like that in Austin.
glad you approve! i think I've only gotten to use that track one other time and jumped at the chance to add it in. I'm so shocked they're not doing something similar in Austin!
My therapist told me it was 100% okay to decorate early (since we could all use a little extra joy this year) so we have been rocking around the Christmas tree since basically September, unapologetically lol
The garlands!! Twist them together than make a hanging ornament display you can look up to! (reminds me of your ornament wall from your house in Houston!)

My boss said no Christmas decor until after Thanksgiving, so I'm going in on Friday when she is gone and decking the halls

We just moved into our new house this weekend and I am bursting at the seams to decorate it for Christmas 🎄🎄🎄 I have the same issue, we were in our old house for 8 years and I was so used to decorating it, now I have to find new spots for everything!
So.. I'm just waiting for you to decorate the space along the staircase where you had all your Christmas boxes when you got them down from the attic.

I vote for twisting all 3 of the old garland strands around each other too... but leaving it with the swag and maybe adding a lightweight wreath under them (in the center) so it looks like they have function and purpose! Making the wreath the main focus!! Plus, so cute and holiday-ee 🙌🏻🎄❤️
We love your decorations! My wife and I both screamed WOW!, when you turned on the red and white Christmas tree lights on the white tree. We love all of your decorations from Halloween to Christmas! I’m so excited for Grant’s garland masterplan. I know for privacy reasons you won’t show the outside of your home but my fingers are crossed Grant is going to put a wreath on every window 🤣 I have a neighbor that does it every Christmas and it makes my heart so happy when I drive past
Last year I found some scent sticks for Christmas trees that smell *exactly* like our decoration storage box growing up so I put them in my grown-up holiday storage tote. I haven't opened it up yet this season but I greatly look forward to getting everything out and wafting in the nostalgia. My husband and I decided to create putz houses every year as a tradition since we're both artists and love making things. (Last year he made one that looked like an abandoned building with a fire barrel inside. Lol.) Thanks for the idea! Now I just need to get a tea advent calendar since that was another really fun bonding activity for us. Happy holidays!

I love watching people decorate for Christmas and this year I can use all of the happy Christmas content since it's looking like I won't be able to go home this year 😭 I've already started making a bunch of crafts to decorate with in addition to the few little things I had already. We are all home quarantined and have been making so many Christmas crafts. My kids are little but they far surpass my crafting skills. I used to be a no Christmas before Thanksgiving but this year for my birthday (the 21st-we are almost birthday buddies happy belated birthday!) I asked for Christmas to happen early. We needed it for sure!

Looks so good! I love a kitchy/retro christmas. For the hanging garland, I would swag it in the middle and add a bow, but much better that the really long one before!

I put my tree up on Halloween this year 😂 I was sick and stuck at home and it just felt right. We put our exterior lights up on Sunday and every time I take the dogs out it just makes me giddy. Love seeing your home decor!!

Your flocked tree is so pretty. A big decorated hanging wreath would look so pretty on the space where you have the draped single garland.
The decorations are looking so cute! I’m loving the skinny snow tree with the red and white lights. I’m calling it the candy cane tree. I think a traditional red and white tree skirt would look amazing, or a white and silver one! 😁❤️🤍
I have 2 of those sparkly "Evelyn" deer!! I got them at Hobby Lobby. I almost got the count down but decided on some other things. I also saw a teal and pink Evelyn that you would love!

While shopping for Christmas decorations I called the little deer "Evelyn's". My husband had no clue what I was talking about...lol. You are starting a whole new vocabulary...lol. I LOVE CHRISTMAS DECOR!! 😂 You can try using tiny command hooks to put that really long thin garland piece on the inner side of the door/walkway between your kitchen area and living area @25:40.
Suggestion for the old garland hanging from the top: I think if you had it straight along the edge like you suggested, you could hang baubles down from it like the bauble feature wall you did in the old house ... I think that would fill that big white space nicely :) love the rest of the decorations!!
we decorated for the winter holidays today (i am usually a stickler to keeping fall decor up until after American Thanksgiving but Covid called for a specialty) and I am LOVING the tree and the candles and the yule log, it's so festive and fun

May I just say, the block nativity is genius.! Growing up my brother and cousins and I were in charge of moving the porcelain Kings around the house on their way to the manger....two households of Kings are headless from devastating drops.
I’m in Tennessee until next week so I can’t decorate yet, but watching you made me excited to get home and dig it all out.
All these decorations make me so happy. This year, I can’t decorate so I feel like you’re giving me extra and I’m here for it!! ((We are in the process of buying a house so decorating here doesn’t make sense and I’m not sure if we will have time at the new house)) so I’m loving all the decorations!!!
I'm all decorated right now as well. I freshened up some of my decor and added more as well this year.
I started decorating November 2nd. It's so much effort and energy to decorate just to take it down in a couple weeks doesn't seem worth it. I want to enjoy it as long as possible for all the work that is done.

For the new skinny tree- have you looked into maybe a tree collar? I have been seeing them all over and it’s a nice base to a tree without extra floor coverage.

Hi Leigh Ann! I never comment on your stuff but I’ve been lurking for a bit. Thanks so much for sharing your style, as it’s helped me identify my own Christmas decor likes/dislikes. We went to decorator’s warehouse after the blog last week and I think this is the first year since I was a little kid that I’m actually excited about decorating! I also plan to make a couple little putz houses in the mid century mod style to start a little Christmas village. I’ll try to tag you in some insta posts when I come up with some things. I'm staying with my daughter cuz I'm high risk to go out. She brought me home tons of decorations. I'm on a mission! LOL This place is gonna scream Christmas. Just a suggestion but if you bring your garland that you twisted together and bring up the middle and as a bow or wreath it would look so cute.

Cut the garland into smaller pieces. I roll it into balls and stick it into my tree. It makes it more sparkly and look so full! We are fully decorated too!
