Read this book when I was "a youngin" and loved it then. Only came across this series much later. I enjoy this series much more than the movie for it's authenticity (the language, clothes, hair, makeup, sets, SCENERY, etc.). I'm now 72 and still enjoy the book and this series.
For a Reverend, he is certainly acting too base, lustful and possessive over Christy. Almost like he's not supposed to be a man of God... But, some common, hormonal teenage boy not old enough to shave.
oops, I should have watched this first. i thought Neil's wife had died in childbirth along with their baby in the TV series too. Whoops! Shame on me. But Jeb and Fairlight are such a cute couple. Awwww.

This is one of my favorite episodes of this all-too-brief series. It's definitely my favorite of the 6-week spring tryout run in April-May 1994!
Although I wish they had kept the "Margaret" story the same as in the book, I did enjoy this series.
Wish they had kept Neil's wifes story the same as the book. His wife died in childbirth in the books.
