These are so awesome. Any chance they can get them re-mastered and released with best quality. The format is awesome. None of that loud music in between points. And it's awesome hearing the fans in between points. Having the music in between points is really a turn off.
Back then the AVP played true double elimination, which means each team had to lose twice to be eliminated. The finals always consisted of one team that had won the winners bracket & was undefeated. For the team coming out of the loser's bracket to win the tournament, they had to win two games. The first one was to 15 & win by 2. If they won that, then they played a second game(double final) to 7, win by just 1. The double final was originally to 15, but it was changed to 7, in 1989. Hope that explains it well enough for you.
Thanks for putting that on TH-cam.
I’m glad this came up on my feed
23:40.. best clutch rally in the time-clock era? My heart was racing on that one!
If this isn't the best AVP final ever, it's very close.
Dodd/Whitmarsh and Steffes/Kiraly Seal Beach 1994 was epic.
The hit at 13:10....
Just watched it the other day! You're right, maybe the BEST! What a "Who's Who" of Beach Volleyball...

The good old days when the ball couldn’t touch the net on a serve. 😂
Why was Karch not in Nintendo's Kings of the Beach game. I love that game.
Because he already signed a deal with ACTIVISION's Sand Masters that was to be released on Atari 9300. Sadly Atari 9300 never made it to market ;)
Pretty damn good. Hated the rally clock, but didn't make a difference in this match.
Hearthbraking every time you watch
The Kings of the Beach!
14-12 had they be playing rally point that 14-14 run would never happened and one of the most exciting plays of the game either.
This is so coollllllll

Awesome seeing these classic games, do you have 1992 New Orleans video?
I do. Just search for it & it'll come up. The sound is pretty low on it.
