Jake O'Connor, so sorry to bug you, but I have problems with loading the website with your pdf-transcription, I would be so glad if you could just send me those! My email: shasimonyan@gmail.com Thanks in advance and can I say bravo! You’ve done smth huge)
Thank you so so much for transcribing this piece, and for sharing the transcription for free. I've already learned so much just from looking through it once... new levels of brain unlocked
I was waiting for this transcription. Thought it would almost be impossible as it is a sick and very difficult piece. But what a transcription you have done! I am in awe to see the actual music notated…… Great job 👏 😊
This is soooo incredible Jake! This piece represents so many amazing musical traditions coming together to create something stunning, and your transcription makes it accessible which makes it even easier to appreciate this work. So proud of you!
I literally had this song going through my head the moment I saw this notification. (I subscribed when I came across your analysis a few days ago.) I will be devouring this, thank you
I don’t think it’s quite accurate, though... since there’s a pause between the last note of the second triplet and the eighth note. But the notes are all there
Incredible transcription. Nice job! I did a haphazard transcription of just the melodic lines a little while back, but I didn't quite land on some of the rhythmic nuances you did. Excellent work!
This is insane (in the best possible sense)! Thanks a lot! PS Now the only more cool thing that can happen is Tigran himself coming to the comments and verifying a job well done...
Thanks for the kind words. Tigran acknowledging this would be a dream come true for sure! He did share a meme on his instagram story a few weeks ago that used a screenshot from this video, maybe that counts...
i’m seeing some comments confirming this but the main rhythm isn’t quite displaced triplets because those low B’s line up with the drum hits on a downbeat, so it’s just loose/swung quarter note triplets that always land on downbeats
Man that such an awesome job ! Congrats and many thanks for this insane work, I'd have happily contributed for the pdf but I see your site is down, I guess I'll spend some time inputting it into Dorico from your video then ! (still less tedious than having to do what you've done, which I wouldn't have been able to anyway 😅)
Wouldn't you happen to have "To Love" by Tigran Hamasyan? Or know where I could find a transcription? I'm looking everywhere and can't find anything :/ I really love that song and would be great to learn it.
Both, actually! It is a polyrhythm because it is all triplets, and a polymeter because it is 5 beats long (against 4/4 of the melody). If you click on my channel you can find an analysis of this track that I did back in May. There are a couple mistakes in the transcription in that video, though!
How tha fack you do to transcribe this? Amazing!!!!
Same bro wtfff
Was on a call with my drum teacher for an hour trying to transcribe one measure lmao thank you so much
Happy to help!! Some of the measures in Rohith's konnakol solo took me soooo long

You transrcibed this?? You are not from this world! (Neither is Tigram!) My full admiration! And beyond!
You are too kind! I am not even close to Tigran's level, but I appreciate it!
This is EPIC! 🔥
Thank you Rohith!!! Your solo is unbelievable!! You're pretty epic yourself!!
I agree
wait a minute
DID YOU MADE FULL SHEET FOR THIS SONG??
FOR FREE?!?!??!??
Respect bro..
This.. is incredible.
One of my favourite recordings.
I’m astounded.
5:10 & 5:29 = Tigran creates a new genre. Not just djazz (djent + jazz), but West Asian folk-infused djazz. He's a genius
I have been WAITING. Congrats on an amazing project dude
Thank you for your patience!! Enjoy!
@@jakeoconnor3420 thank YOU for your patience
great work
If I ever become half as good as you at transcription, I'll be satisfied. This is insane.

Very interesting how you notated the main riff as displaced triplets! Amazing work! Thank you

This is insane! Great work
Thanks Connor!

Mate props! This stuff is insane, incredible how you were able to completely analyse this amazing piece

You're insane, this is great! I can't believe you are giving away the pdf for free as well, thank you so much!
Glad you like it, thank you for the kind words! I just don't feel right selling music I don't really own.

Your transcription just got quoted by David Bruce. Not Tigran himself, but still pretty cool, I think
Nothing short of amazing
thank you so much! I love this piece!!!
Thank you to the moon and back
lol you even called out the stick trick. Bravo

Daaaaaaamn
Wouldn't you happen to have "To Love" by Tigran Hamasyan? Or know where I could find a transcription? I'm looking everywhere and can't find anything :/ I really love that song and would be great to learn it.
It´s not complete. I saw this pdf before on web.
I've transcribed the two parts that are missing. If somebody need them!!!
pretty sure that main riff is a syncopated nonuplet rather than a displaced triplet and an eighth note. other than that, this is really good
If you want an absolute monster of challenge then try transcribing all of nardian odysessy by tigran, good luck
alv la mejor transcripcion de la vida
Merci et bravo 😮😃
holy shit bravo
Thanks!
Wonderful job I can’t even begin to unpack that 15/16 stuff lol
Holy smokes! How did you get so good at rhythmic transcription?
You are too kind! All it takes is practice, just like anything else :)
1:44 is this a Polyrhythm or polymeter in the Bass?
or whats going on here
Both, actually! It is a polyrhythm because it is all triplets, and a polymeter because it is 5 beats long (against 4/4 of the melody). If you click on my channel you can find an analysis of this track that I did back in May. There are a couple mistakes in the transcription in that video, though!
Its 8 + 7 + 8 + 7 groupings within the tuplets on 5 beats
Just... damn.
is the "lay back" a jacob mann reference? haha
Link broken, is there an alternate PDF download? Excellent work!
LOVE U
Wow 👏👏👏
Is there a pdf to download? Pls🎼
I am working on it! I had to re-format everything for the video so I am re-formatting it back for the PDF
@@jakeoconnor3420 when can we expect a pdf? Also is there any chance tereyentev will take this down? Thanks.
@@mattangoshen It'll be up on my website tomorrow. I dont know who or what Tereyentev is, sorry!
@@mattangoshen It is available on the "transcriptions" section of my website now!
@@jakeoconnor3420 already copped ❤️
The main riff is a 9-Tuplet- it’s a pattern of 4,3,2, 4,3,2. Duh- duh duh duh- duh duh
You have no idea how long bro
🙏🙏
These people live in year 3023
I feel so hopeless Right now...!!
Respect ! But the link for the pdf is broken can you send me the nice link please ?
Hi, sorry about that, website should be back up now!
Impressive. But you missed a part from 1:30
Forget it man. This took him an year, so we should appreciate his hard work. He skipped just a small part.
Es en 440?
The website doesnt seem to work anymore?
sorry, I am trying to fix that, if you want the pdf you can email me jakeomusic@gmail.com
Bar 139 Quintuplets instead of Sextuplets.
nope sextuplets are right
:O
4:28 singer is off pitch.. yikes 😂
Let's just call them microtones 😂
