Absolutely incredible . Human polyrhythms/ polymeter machine. Keeping the pulse with your feet and doing anything you want with the guitar shows how good of a understanding you really have of the music and feel
Thanks and fully agree about the clean female vocals! I'm currently working with a female vocalist on new cover (not Meshuggah tho) and it's just awesome. I'll definitely keep the idea in mind to add some vocals to this song as well
This is really quite amazing. Not one of my favorite Meshuggah songs because it's a bit too 'happy' in feeling for lack of a better word. When I'm in the mood for Meshuggah, I want to hear a Spasm or a Dancers. But this orchestration was just scrumptious and shows that the song itself is a fine composition even if I don't really like it as a Meshuggah song. ( To be fair, it's not that I don't like it, as much as I don't like it as much as others. It grooves, has its moments, blah blah. ) Looking forward to more of this and similar 'acoustification' or as you do it these days with a clean electric and electric nylon. Bravo!
🤣 Hahaha, thanks for making my day! I would never dare comparing myself to a virtuoso such as Tim Henson, I'm a great admirer of his music and his innovative playing. But I do appreciate your kind words 🙂 PS: Speaking of Tim Henson, you may want to check out my attempt at covering Playing God 🤭
@@1xN yeah, I've been checking out a lot of your tunes and had to share them with an old battle/guitar buddy of mine. Really makes me want to pick my guitar back up. I just get depressed because I only excel my talents by playing along with at least one more musician. It's so much harder for me to get any better by my lonesome vs a little friendly competition. I do miss the outer body experiences and the synchronized transitions from improvised jam sessions
Dude that was beautiful. Love how heavy and grooving the original song is, but this just brought out all the psychedelic vibes and amplified them. Literally flying through the desert 🌵 🐪
Commenting now before this video blows up! Amazing rendition my dude! You managed to make this prog metal track sound like a Spanish guitar track, kudos!
Dude, this is incredible. Might be one of the most creative and tasteful covers I’ve ever come across. This deserves way more views. Subscribed and can’t wait to see more covers like this!
Thanks a lot! As a matter of fact, a new cover just dropped a few minutes ago, please check it out and let me know what you think! And thanks for subscribing :-)
Thanks 🙏🏼🤘🏻 Please consider listening to the remastered version on this channel and on Spotify as well as our other (Meshuggah) covers 😊 and more trumpet + acoustic Meshuggah is coming end of January, please subscribe to not miss out on it 🤘🏻
Okay, that's it! I'm losing it!! Imma go and subscribe now! You happy? Wait...actually I'll unsubscribed and re-unsubscribe!! So you have me, enjoying the meshuggah stuff so much, that I left and came back!! (This comment is supposed to be read with an aggressive but wholesome attitude!) 😉 Love that version! Great job, guys!!🤘🏼
@@1xNI'm not great at explaining myself so sorry in advance. There's something in the tone of the guitar. The dissonance of meshuggah put into acoustics that sound a lot like Alice. Take the unplugged version of the song frogs. Or maybe even the album facelift specifically the song I can't remember. Both amazing bands and you sound great covering it.
Totally! I find our latest cover Demiurge sounds like Tool. Really shows how those two bands have influenced all the heavy 7-/8-string madness that followed
playing that with the feet and the ridfs at the same time is insane
Thanks, just a matter of practice 😊🤘🏻

😀
The trumpet is such a perfect fit, it feels like the songs came in reverse -- Meshuggah used guitar to make a cover of these guys.
Thank you! :-)
Well... fredriks solos were always heavily horn inspired sinse they were holdsworth inspired and he used to love his voice tube thing
They're very heavily jazz inspired too

Haha I'm gonna interpret this as a compliment... 😅 greets, Rain Man
Incredible performance! 🔥😍🎶
Thank you :-)
One of my favorite Meshuggah songs and I think they would be proud. I’d love to hear some clean female vocals over this.
Thanks and fully agree about the clean female vocals! I'm currently working with a female vocalist on new cover (not Meshuggah tho) and it's just awesome. I'll definitely keep the idea in mind to add some vocals to this song as well
@@1xN that would be phenomenal, please do!
I was thinking clean Asian female vocal
