A great scenario for anyone that has needs to build a wood deck. Weldments aren’t only for metal structures, see how to modify the weldments library to add lumber, to use on any project. I also take a quick check on the internet using a span tables to make sure our longest span is within building limits. The weldments feature does make modeling a breeze, sketches quickly turn to Joists, and soon as the base structure is created, adding some decking boards and the model is complete.

Nice build. I can hear the voice of my local building inspector screaming though, "Never ever ever have wood in direct contact with cement." I would have raised the whole thing up 3/4" and put some plastic strips for the wood to sit on.

hii. Great video. It would be nice if you could do the modelling video of small part of the deck in detail.

nice video using solidworks weldments, you are obviously an engineer and not a carpenter. I have built decks for over 30 years and would never build a deck like you designed. Where I live it would never pass inspection.

You should start your series for deck building for ideas.
