Anyways, I have to agree with most of you that this soundtrack is amazing, but I think it worked too hard on making it sound electronic, such as Fuse Man’s stage. The music itself is beautiful, but the sounds used to express the music are less than such. The electronic sounds make it feel less like the original song and more like a remix of a song that doesn’t exist.
@unsub Not neccesarily, I do like some of 11's soundtrack. But some things sound better or worse in different formats. For example, Kid Icarus's Title theme is a great tune, but the shrill whiny notes kill people's ears. The remade version of it sounds better and brings out the melody properly. Acid Man's theme is on the bland side, but in 8 bit it sounds more sinister. Some Smash tunes try too hard to sound grand and epic, instead they sound boring and samey and destroy the feel and atmosphere of the original. Mighty No. 9's definitely sounds better in 8 bit because the originals are dull as hell.
With all the modern chiptune music floating around the web these days, it's a miss that the actual OST didn't reflect at least a mix of chip + synth, ala the 20XX ost perhaps?
Most of the tracks i've heard from the game seemed to go for a more heavily synth/techno vibe, and the OST deviates pretty far from your typical Mega Man soundtrack in terms of instrumentation and speed (even more than Mega Man 8 in my opinion). But hey, the fans will always be there to recreate and remix the tracks into the 8-bit format that most of us love!

The OST is probably one of the worst I've heard in a long time. I hate it with a passion as EDM makes my head hurt and it feels out of place in a Mega Man game of all things.
I just attended NYCC and it seems that the new Ace Attorney modern re-releases will be receiving a modern chiptune style music treatment, which sounds great. I'm confused about why our beloved series couldn't get the same treatment?
If you want to be sure of the legitimacy of a Mega Man soundtrack, wait for the 8-bit rendition. Here, it doesn't sound exactly like a Mega Man composition, but it's pretty damn close! I love it!
