    if you had to pick one machine out of the Honda or the Can-Am, which one would it be for the type of riding you were talking about in your video?

    • @GarzaGangAdventures
      @GarzaGangAdventures  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That’s a tough one. I’ve been kicking around the idea of a video surrounding this very topic.
      I think a lot of it boils down to the type of person you are, and what you don’t mind doing.
      I love the CanAm. It’s a blast to drive. That turbo performs so much better than the Honda.
      But, the maintenance is a PITA.
      For MY type of riding, which is what I talked about in the video, I think I might prefer the Honda. But it only comes from my style. I tend to ride hard, beat the machine up a little bit, and I want the least amount of work possible lol.
      I’ve abused that Talon for years, and it still starts up fine, with only oil changes and brakes pads so far!

    I heard they are quieter i hope cuz i don't want a screaming ass sound running thru the trails. Radio great but not the muffler.

    What do you have to do to these things to make them street legal?

    • @GarzaGangAdventures
      @GarzaGangAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's going to depend entirely on where you live, and what the local ordinances are.
      Around here it's a DOT Windshield, horn, turn signals, and a slow moving vehicle triangle on the back. As well as being registered with the BMV.

    Have you upgraded to 32s . If so. Did you have clutch issues and did you have to have spacers or anything to get them to fit

    • @GarzaGangAdventures
      @GarzaGangAdventures  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah I did, no spacers or clutching issues.
      Things to note:
      I used my 15” wheels that had my 32” Carnivores from my Honda Talon. So I just swapped wheels and tires from both machines for now.
      There is definitely a noticeable difference as far as performance/drivability. Clutch work would help, but I haven’t done it yet.
      It was much peppier and better handling with the stock 30”s but they’re just too small for me.
      Going to figure out my full plan over the winter regarding wheel/tire setup.
      Once I get it dialed in, I’ll post a video!

    I just got a 2023 X3 DS Turbo. Can't wait to take it out on the trails. You mentioned the tablet you are using for GPS. Do you have any recommendations for a good tablet?

    • @GarzaGangAdventures
      @GarzaGangAdventures  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We're running a Samsung Tab A. It works, but if I were to buy new I'd be looking at the models with more RAM. A friend of mine has the S9 and it runs Lifetime TrailMaps sooooo much better. Just an overall quicker response time in everything you go to do. It does come with a higher price tag, but I think it's worth the extra cost.
      Congrats on your new machine, you're going to love it!!

    Any sight line issues with the windshield? That’s what I’m wanting to buy but I am 6’3” and worried about sight lines at the top.

    • @GarzaGangAdventures
      @GarzaGangAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      No not at all. I’m 5’11” and it’s fine. I don’t remember which one, but one of the windshields have glass that goes further up. I was a little worried about it, but it’s been a non issue so far.

    I have a BM rear window which is nice but I also have JL Audio 8.8 cans. When I use the rear glass it kills the sound level. I also have the JL sub under passenger seat, the sub is incredible until you put the seat back on and then it just absorbs the bass. Love your build so far!!

    • @GarzaGangAdventures
      @GarzaGangAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah we ran into the same problem with the Talon and the speaker pods. Trying to avoid it this time around. JL Audio is, hands down, my favorite brand for mobile audio. I don’t know if I can bring myself to spend the dough on them for a side by side haha. I’m sure it rocks though!
      Thanks, we appreciate it!

    What is de app use for the maps?

    • @GarzaGangAdventures
      @GarzaGangAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That really depends on where we’re riding at. If it’s TN or WV we tend to stick with lifetime trailmaps. Other places it really depends. We use the Polaris ride command app for the badlands, and Michigan, and have even played around with onXOffroad. There’s lots of options out there!

    2022 and up cages are stronger .I rolled my 22 in the king of the Hammer 3X doing 85 mph . no injuries .but sore for more than a week. I walk out the front waited for my friends to turn around flipped the car. inspect everything . bent both lower A arms .drive back to camp .and actually drove it until the last day of KOH . back in Arizona , I stripped it to see frame damaged and bring it to 3 shops for the insurance claim as I wanted it to be totaled, but nope She is good .And back on the road again .FYI,,,OEM Retractable harness did its job , wear it right and it will never move an inch. yes the cage survived .but I replaced it any way . Insurance check was plenty I can almost buy another brand new YXZ1000R

    I just bought a x3 ds max Saturday. I thought the doors were kind of kindergarten to, especially the opening part. I got the door inserts' roof and the door handles before I even pick it up. Now I'm going with the super atv windshield because of backorder and no wiper.

    • @GarzaGangAdventures
      @GarzaGangAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      What door inserts did you go with?
      Did you get the poly windshield?

    • @kevinwenzel324
      @kevinwenzel324 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Super atv glass windshield. Door handles roof lower panels are oem. Place I bought it from gave me a pretty good discount on accessories. I'm still undecided on carrying a spare tire with me.

    • @GarzaGangAdventures
      @GarzaGangAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's cool. I do want to get the door handles; they look pretty slick. I know people who carry spares, but never had to use them. I just make sure I have a patch kit with me, and some sidewall slugs. I feel like storage is so limited.
      Glass is definitely the way to go, Poly just gets scratched up.

    • @GarzaGangAdventures
      @GarzaGangAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      There’s a lot of things I absolutely love about the Talon.
      And a few things that I hate.
      Overall it’s a great machine. Power could be better, but the reliability is unmatched in the side by side world.

      @@GarzaGangAdventures I have been looking at all different brands tossed between Honda talon CF, Moto, Z force, and the Can-Am Maverick, X.3

    • @GarzaGangAdventures
      @GarzaGangAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CheeseBiker4Life would this be your first side by side?
      Are you new to off-roading?
      What type of terrain would you be riding?
      A lot of those answers will help guide you in your decision.
      With that being said, each manufacturer has their pros and cons.
      We started off with a Polaris RZR, and had terrible luck with that one. I ride with guys that swear by their RZRs. Maybe I just got a lemon.
      I think the main reason I love the Talon is it’s reliability. I have about 1400 very hard miles on that machine, and the only thing I’ve done to it is 2 oil changes and a set of brake pads.
      That alone makes me love it.
      It can be a lot to take in at the beginning when you’re trying to make a decision, that’s for sure!

      I live up in the north east so probably some trail riding nothing too aggressive. This would be my first so I’m looking for a good experience. I have heard a lot of good things about CF Moto‘s, but still hesitant on that brand. I know Hondas have a great reliability track record and that’s why I was considering that

    • @GarzaGangAdventures
      @GarzaGangAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t have any first hand experience with the CFMOTOs, so I can’t really speak on them.
      I will say that I have read some good things about them, my problem is that they’re relatively close to the price point on the other, bigger brands. With being as close as they are price wise, it’s kinda hard to justify not going with the bigger manufacturers.
      But, nobody in my group runs them, and I’ve never driven one.
      We have a pretty big group of us that likes to ride, spanning lots of different machines.
      From Polaris RZR XPs, XP4s, and PROXPs.
      Honda Talons, Honda Pioneers, and now the CanAm Maverick X3.
      A lot of it is just price point, and comfortability.
      Buy what fits your budget and riding style.
      At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what you ride, just get out there and RIDE!
