Hi, just found my birth sister 30 years after we were taken from each other. It has been the most amazing 7 days of my life getting to be with her again.
Thank you for sharing. I’m a 40yr old adoptee. When I was almost 4 my adopted parents left on a plane to adopt a baby boy. I remember them leaving me with a aunt I was hoping they’d bring back a girl. A few days later I looked in the refrigerator and found a cake decorated in blue. I was very disappointed 🙈my adopted mother would tell me all the time that they almost lost their boy because I was such a bad child they were almost rejected. The sad thing is I’v grown to not have a good relationship with my adopted parents or adopted brother. He also took off and move very far away as soon as he was able too. I’m at 40 just realizing these people who adopted us were just looking for a quick fix. I don’t believe they should have had us. It was a cold and unloving environment. The last thing an adopted child should face. As an adult I’m bless to say i’v got to become apart of my husbands family and it’s opened my eyes to what a loving family is. As a young child adoption was not an issue for me but as I get older it become more painful. You said many things that I could relate too. Thank you😘
