@@Dutreactss There is definitely something to be learned from online tutorials, if you are starting out. But you should quickly reach a point where you know what to practice, so don't get stuck with the videos and binge them for hours if you already know what to practice but are not doing it. If you are struggling with your first chords, try playing each string individually, it will help you spot the mistakes better than with strumming, correct your fingers and try again. And like I said: pick it up every day. It will have a greater effect if you play 10 minutes every day each day of the week opposed to playing one hour only on one day. If you are struggling to remember the chord shapes, pick two and alternate between them, this will help you program yourself correctly. Last advice would be to do everything very slowly. It is more important to be correct and clean than being fast. Speed with the proper technique will only come if got the proper technique down when doing it slow. Give yourself time, it takes years to learn an instrument, I probably picked up the guitar for the first time like 20 years ago, just remember to pick it up from time to time, if you enjoy playing, this will come naturally. Guitar is great, 'cause you can take it anywhere! Enjoy!
