Some tips I have to improve line work is 1. Pull lines from top to bottom, left to right. Never start a line if your tattoo machine gets in the way of you seeing your start point to your end point 2. never use a smaller liner to substitute if you dont have a larger one. You typically always wanna make one line at a consistent spee. doing a circular motion to Bolden a line will almost never work
absolutely amazing work, and amazing at explaining everything. a lot of other content on TH-cam is great information but I'm a visual learner and while they are great at teaching- their tattoos always turn out like it's 1990. Your work speaks for itself. And I'm extremely thankful for you.
The way you share your knowledge and advice while so many other people out there keep it to themselves with such a greed... Respect brother. Thank you very much for your teachings.
This has to be the most informative and correct video I've seen so far about tattooing on the internet for people who want to learn the right way. Thank you so very much for sharing your knowledge with us
Man, this video has it all! I appreciate how clear you explained things and showing how you use the different techniques. Love your work and how you shade your portraits bro!!
Agreed. Wiping away stencil was a big problem when I first started. I find ointment one of best ways if I have to wipe. Ointment also keeps the ink from mudding up the skin when u wipe away.
Your instructional videos are greatly appreciated. I've been tattooing for over 20yrs without any guidance. When I started I wasnt fortunate enough to receive guidance from experienced artists. Your videos teach me a lot I wasnt able to figure out on my own...Thanks!
Awesome work mate love your style ove work and instruction keeping it real and no unnecessary woffle direct and bull dotting the points, youve obversly Put you time in respect man good to see an African American killing it l find it refreshing, cheers
Omg thank you for giving the most useful tips . I’ve been going through so many videos and all of them gave the same commmob sense b.s . I almost gave up on learning through videos. Thank you
THIS HAS TO BE ONE OF THE GREATEST KNOWLEDGE VIDEOS EVER......IM A BEGINNER TATTOO ARTIST AND AFTER WATCHING COUNTLESS TUTORIALS ON TH-cam, HAVE CHOSEN YOU AS MY TH-cam TEACHER AND INSPIRATION, MAY GOD CONTINUE HIS BLESSINGS UPON YOU AND YOURS.
Great video collection! New tatto artist, and there is so much info in this I gotta watch it again. I can see how it's all valid by the application and your execution of the tattoos is impeccable! Thanks for the vid!
man this is the best compilation i watched so far. this kind of tricks you can only hear from a close friend whos also your menthor. i sub man! awesome vid.
Beautiful work. These are great tips. You can always go darker so starting lighter was one of the most important things I learned back when I started. Also... thank you for your voltage info.
You're awesome man. The way you explain every detail and help us get started, something that most people out there don't want to do, we appreciate you. 🙏
This is a very clear informative straight to the point video, I’ve been struggling with using different techniques and shading this helped a lot. I appreciate your hard work , you definitely make a great teacher and your work is 🔥
I been getting into tattoos and I’m tryna be a tat artist, what should be the first step I should do? I’m 19 and got no experience in tattooing I only draw and I’m decent at it
Hey man, thanks for the tips! Your page is probably the most helpful for new incomers on tattooing. Can we get more videos of you doing more crisp lines please?
This was the best most informative video ever !! I love the compilation of the different techniques and different. definitely earned my sub. Can’t wait to wash the rest of your videos. PS, that skeleton with the flowers was sick. 😮
No problem! I swing between both honestly. I enjoy the freedom of the battery but with a power supply I like that I don’t have to worry about running out of power
Thank you for sharing your wisdom, im newly released from prison and the machines there are junk, so i gave it another go now that I'm free and you my friend I owe the credit to you that I now know to lower the voltage and my tattooing is coming out better
Using white has been a real hit and miss for me. is there any kind of brand that I can use to get a real good white? or any technique for applying white without having this really get contacted by the blood and "watered down" into pink or other hues that aren't a solid white? Thanks
I recommend getting the shader rather than packer. Packer is a strong 4.2 millimeter stroke, so harder to get multiple layers of soft shading unless you go to a very low voltage.
@@ryancole1838 Could be a good spot for 1.5 mm but it depends on their skin as some people are thicker. Depth is tricky since their are so many variables, experience will be your best friend, my personal rule was that I would rather go lighter and have to do the tattoo over again rather than too deep and permanently scar my client.
Hi Gm, wondering what program you are using . Or Best one for a fone. Since idont have a tablet yet, for that type of purpose . # croping and pasting to put tats together that way. Thank you

Man, this video has it all! I appreciate how clear you explained things and showing how you use the different techniques. Love your work and how you shade your portraits bro!!
Needed this. For some reason no other video tells you how to wipe the tattoo..using green soap and to dab, not wipe was helpful
Glad it helped! Thanks for your comment!
Green soap is cut with 30% alcohol..it’s good to dilute it down to 10% so you ain’t wiping your clients with almost a pure alcohol that’s 50%
Agreed. Wiping away stencil was a big problem when I first started. I find ointment one of best ways if I have to wipe. Ointment also keeps the ink from mudding up the skin when u wipe away.
I rub and wipe with a dry napkin who cares

You are using wand packer? Have you tried wand shader? If you have .. can you recomend which one to buy for allrounder
Great video. Can I ask what machine you are using?
hello thanks for this important video. I wanted to ask if you prefer to use the transformer instead of the wireless battery. Thank you
No problem! I swing between both honestly. I enjoy the freedom of the battery but with a power supply I like that I don’t have to worry about running out of power
@@Qinks same for me. I use battery only for little works... Ty
Amazing🎉
May I ask what voltage you use when doing liner and voltage doing shade? and what size ink cup you use when doing black and grey?
Thank you for sharing your wisdom, im newly released from prison and the machines there are junk, so i gave it another go now that I'm free and you my friend I owe the credit to you that I now know to lower the voltage and my tattooing is coming out better
This is a serious comp! Thanks very much man ❤
thank you so much😍😍
No problem! 🙏🏾
What voltatage do you run for lining and shading on the packer
Love it
Thank you!
What type of machine are you running

What stencil set up are you using??
How good is the bishop packer for realism black and gray tattooing
I recommend getting the shader rather than packer. Packer is a strong 4.2 millimeter stroke, so harder to get multiple layers of soft shading unless you go to a very low voltage.
What are the advantages of lining and coloring as you go versus lining then going back and coloring it in?
Easier to work since there is less swelling. Also easier on the client as far as pain goes
@@Qinks ok that makes sense. Changing colors and needles must be a pain. I’m going to do it that way today. Still learning of course.
@@adamforestell6274 it definitely can be but you get used to it. Best of luck to ya on your tattoo journey
What's the name of the app that you use to make your drawings into stencil outlines. You show it on your pad when editing the skull
Procreate!
When working on realism pieces like portraits, you don’t do a lot of hard line work? It’s mostly all shaded?
Very little, it depends on the area. Weather i want something to look soft, or if something needs to have longevity.
What is correct needle depth in skin for packing black. 1mm or 2mm
It depends on the area of skin you are working on, since the thickness varies.
@@Qinks forearm and bicep is two area's I'm working on

what app did you use for the skeleton album cover that looked nice
I used Procreate!
Hi Gm, wondering what program you are using . Or Best one for a fone. Since idont have a tablet yet, for that type of purpose . # croping and pasting to put tats together that way. Thank you
I use procreate for the ipad. Only app I could think of that would be useful on mobile is adobe express
May i asked which ink brand is best ink for tattoo ?
I don’t think there is a best brand.. I like dynamic and eternal.
What do you mean by Access Damage ?
Dope👌🏼
I have a question, does 3 rl #8 work on black skin ? Meaning fineline or whipshading? Does darker skin need bigger designs ?
Yes I use larger liners on darker skin. And the bigger the better
Thanks btw
Hi how’d you turn that drawing into a stencil?
Where are you located bud?
